"Courage" album - Official Topic

I wonder why not 17-18 songs like the good old days, they charge extra for more songs? whats the deal with that? back to the Unision days with 10 tracks? LOL we know already 3 titles! what took the album so long I wonder...there's gotta be some creative changes that happened along the way

I really hope that they got rid of boring, lukewarm songs by Linda Perry and Eg White, and focused on uptempo Sia and David Guetta along with some good stuff a la ANDHC by Stephan Moccio. Kind of like with LMBTL, just that this time they left the good uptempo stuff on the album and got rid of the boring, random stuff Edited April 4, 2019 at 11:48 AM by ryba

If she's got 48 songs... let's hope that means no Recovering, HDAMLF, Ashes, TSMGO... surely, they can't give us, like, 8 new songs!

 

Oh, and Celine? A triple album would be just fine!

(Recall Drake's Scorpion had 25 tracks and it was basically the most successful album of the year... just saying!)

The most important question here is: Did she actually record all 48 songs and then had to pick 12 for the album? (That would be awesome!!!) Or did she just record 12?

Looking at the tour schedule - there is a long break beginning Nov. 5 so I think we can assume that the album will probably come out that Friday, Nov. 8th. There’s roughly a month break from the tour where she can do promo in various countries before returning to the tour in December. I can’t believe we have to wait that long for the album - I really wish Sony would give up the November release dates for her. I loved ANDHC and OH being released in the spring so I could listen to new Celine music during the summer.

I’m beginning to wonder if she’s not allowed to bring up the bare details of the album. We’ve heard the Sia thing a few times, and Courage, but no mention to writer. I feel like she may be under a nondisclosure for some reason.

 

She didn’t even bring up Flying on my Own by name, only acknowledged the snippet.

Well, we don't even know if this will be the lead single, when they plan to release it, if there will be a MV. We want more info from Sony!!!

I've said this before, it doesn't make any sense to embark on a new tour this year almost right after Vegas finishes, as if she had any rush to perform, perform, perform and always keep performing

 

Her voice last night is not good, she's struggling reaching the high notes and specially holding them, and that's only because she must be sick of singing the same damn songs month after month, year after year, without any break to forget about them.

 

She needs to regain and recover her passion to sing her classics, if she keeps at this pace of activity one day she will sing PQTME and ABM into other totally unrecognisable songs because of the so many adlibs, turns and change she does to the songs because she's obviously bored of singing these songs

 

A break from performing this year until November when the album is released would have done only good to her, then do some promo for the album on late 2019/early 2020 and then start the new tour in Spring 2020 with her voice rested and a renewed eagerness and passion to sing again I'm Alive, MHWGO etc. But I don't see any enthusiasm nor shine in her voice yesterday when she sings these songs

 

Releasing albums may not be a priority for her anymore or in the business, but taking care of your voice and giving your 100% when performing IT IS a priority to do a good show :thumbsup2:

 

There will be no space for a promotion of album during the tour so if they so much want november releasing date why not start tour in 2020 ... I don ´t undestand. We were complained during her vegas residency there´s no time fot another projects but with this tour it will be even worse ... with all those dates Céline won't have enough space jsut focus on the album.

 

Some people still don't understand that albums are not priority anymore, not for Celine not for anybody. Albums are released to have an excuse for new tours. Veterans artists sell well only first, second week to their fan base and it doesn't matter how much they promote, that won't change (unless the single is really really good and she is able to appeal to the new generation, but that is not plausible). If anything the ticket-album bundle could help her to get the number 1, but November is more difficult... The problem will be promotion in Europe, she might fly here in November for a week maybe.

 

What I don't understand is the huge number of dates only in North America, she could do bigger venues and less dates. She'll be exhausted when she comes to Europe...

I think youre the only one who thought her voice sounded bad. She sounded great, the audio was just dry and poor. Someone posted their live stream and it sounds way better with the natural reverb off of a theatre / microphone

I hope NOT... I’m not a fan of the ”Taking Chances” album or the “Loved Me Back To Life” album.

Of course I liked a couple songs on each but overall they weren’t special.

 

I hope to have ANDHC and FIY mixture album.

I agree with you 80% of time but come on man, her voice sounded it’s best in years on MHWGO.
