I wonder why not 17-18 songs like the good old days, they charge extra for more songs? whats the deal with that? back to the Unision days with 10 tracks? If she's got 48 songs... let's hope that means no Recovering, HDAMLF, Ashes, TSMGO... surely, they can't give us, like, 8 new songs!

 

Oh, and Celine? A triple album would be just fine!

(Recall Drake's Scorpion had 25 tracks and it was basically the most successful album of the year... just saying!)

Keeping my fingers crossed for a release of a single on Friday! Otherwise, the Jimmy Kimmel appearance isn't really worth the effort. L'Oreal sponsorship isn't a major talking point, either. A new song from Celine? For sure!

So many friends on social media that I had no idea even liked Celine are sharing articles and tour dates saying they wanna go! People in the States are desperate to see her live, not everyone can afford to travel to Vegas or maybe Vegas isn’t their cup of tea... so it’s been 11 years! Still a huge demand for her.

Well, release a deluxe edition in November with a teaser DVD with 2 songs from the tour, 2 remixes, and a new song.

 

It's not that hard.

 

12 songs is not much...but hopefully all of these are new tracks. Ashes should be a bonustrack then

I think many times that more songs not always means more quality. Letting on a side LMBTL, see Taking Chances.

It's an extraordinary album, but (in my opinion) these album it's a little overcharged of songs that maybe if she decide not include, TC would be still an excellent album having 14 or 15 songs...

Erase of the song list "A Song For You", "Skies Of L.A.", "I Got Nothin' Left" -that anyways I love- and hear the album without these songs. It's still amazing.

Just thinking about that.

There will be no space for a promotion of album during the tour so if they so much want november releasing date why not start tour in 2020 ... I don ´t undestand. We were complained during her vegas residency there´s no time fot another projects but with this tour it will be even worse ... with all those dates Céline won't have enough space jsut focus on the album. Exactly! Album first then promote then world tour like they did back in 2007 for Taking Chances. The tour should start in 2020

Some people still don't understand that albums are not priority anymore, not for Celine not for anybody. Albums are released to have an excuse for new tours. Veterans artists sell well only first, second week to their fan base and it doesn't matter how much they promote, that won't change (unless the single is really really good and she is able to appeal to the new generation, but that is not plausible). If anything the ticket-album bundle could help her to get the number 1, but November is more difficult... The problem will be promotion in Europe, she might fly here in November for a week maybe.

 

What I don't understand is the huge number of dates only in North America, she could do bigger venues and less dates. She'll be exhausted when she comes to Europe...

I feel oddly like her timing has got to be off. Did she really mean to say november?? Usually these artists that give you the cd with the ticket always have the cd delivered to you before the concert....that's kinda the point. I almost can't imagine it any other way.

They're trying to frontload album sales with as many preorder / tour bundles as possible so that by the time the album comes out it releases with jaw-dropping first week sales, which of course will plummet in the second week.

 

But let's estimate ... how many shows do they expect to sell out before the album drops? If first week sales include tour bundles and they're selling tickets this far in advance of the album release, what kind of first week sales could she expect to have?

For example, Pink was only able to sell 20,000 albums of Beautiful Trauma but nonetheless debuted with over 400k because of tour bundling:

However, CD sales from ticket bundles are categorized as Internet sales by the company, and Beautiful Trauma's Internet sales figure was 249,000. So, one can assume most of that number is from the ticket bundle -- minus a smallish amount (perhaps in the low five-figures) for traditional sales from Amazon and other web-based retailers.

There are many ways to promote an album that don't require her presence, probably more effective than tv if you want to target younger generations: banners on Spotify and iTunes, music videos, Youtube, Social media, ... Celine won't be constantly on TV promoting for months, that's unrealistic. As you see she won't have shows for a month in November to promote, four weeks of promotion is enough I would say. Then is up to the public to embrace her new music and to Sony to decide how much they want to invest in other channels like radio and Spotify.

There will be for sure, but probably to be announced later, so as not to spoil the sales for the London gig this summer, which they are promoting as Celine's only concert in Europe this year...
