Ajax Posted November 2, 2018 at 02:56 PM Posted November 2, 2018 at 02:56 PM I'll literally vomit if that hideous released version of TSMGO is on the album. It is the most awfully produced and biggest disappointment. No way could she have listened to that and said 'yep, sounds good' before it was released. Hideous. I would vomit too. And I mean, with ALL the songs she recorded the last 2/3 years, that would make no sense. But above all I'm very concerned about the new production issues Céline is facing recently. Aren't Humberto and Scott Price behind TSMGO as well as some songs on Encore un soir, especially Ordinaire ? This rampage really needs to stop. 1 Quote
isurrender Posted November 2, 2018 at 04:55 PM Posted November 2, 2018 at 04:55 PM As they are more or less linked (they sang together, they are both on same level career-wise), Andrea Bocelli has released his new album this week. And it features duets with Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa. Nothing less than 2 of the most streamed male and female artists. Take this blow, Céline's team. But mostly : learn. Who are we going to end up with this time ? Already yawning ... 2 Quote
Nmj Posted November 2, 2018 at 04:59 PM Posted November 2, 2018 at 04:59 PM (edited) I love "Ashes" too. It updated her sound but still sounds like Céline. It would be pretty absurd to not have it on the album (why would they not? It's the biggest song she's had in a while) Because it shouldn’t be on the album. The song could be 2 years old or more by the time the album is released.I’m hoping for No “Ashes”, “How Does A Moment Last Forever”, “Recovering”, or “The Show Must Go On”. They all had their time to shine, all released separately on their own, to include them now would just be lazy at this point. Some how I have a bad feeling 3 out of 4 these will be on the new album tho I hope I’m wrong. Edited November 2, 2018 at 05:02 PM by Nmj 1 Quote

Who are we going to end up with this time ? Already yawning ... I love Andrea Bocelli, with all my heart. I’ve seen him three times live, and he’s absolutely incredible. But he is absolutely not on the same level as Celine (career wise). I don’t think people seem to understand how rare the level of international success Celine has had. There’s very few...and I mean VERY few people of her stature. Andrea is great, but in no way comparable. I must agree though that a few collaborations with younger, more viable current stars would do her wonders. But I’m glad she’s not putting herself out there to duet with anybody or everybody. She’s acheived a status that these younger stars could only ever dream of. 5 Quote
Tom_London_Fan Posted November 2, 2018 at 05:19 PM Posted November 2, 2018 at 05:19 PM (edited) I’m in two minds with regards to releasing unreleased material. I personally as a big fan would adore to hear these unreleased tracks, or some new Live content. However, if an artist like Celine doesn’t release new material after a while, they believe it will increase demand for when the new material arrives. (The new album). Adele is marvellous at this, she’ll release a marvellous new album...then bam...nothing for years. The time in between releases creates a thirst in the industry for new material, ultimately leading to more streams and sales when a new album does come out. I think it’s difficult to please the die hard fans who want something new all the time, and the people who are just checking out her new music and hopefully streaming it. I completely agree that more should have been down since the last album to please her English fans, but I understand why they have done it. For an artist to do well in the charts and to sell well, oversaturating the market with material only die hard fans will listen to, isn’t necessarily going to help Celine’s sales and streaming when a new album comes out. May I mention that keeping people waiting is only a good thing if ultimately you release something spectacular and worth waiting for. That’s why I’m hoping this new English album has been worth the wait. We heard that a lot during the LMBTL era...”the wait is over” “she’s back”...and personally I don’t think that album was strong enough to justify a 6 year waiting period. I see both sides of the argument, and both have valid points Edited November 2, 2018 at 05:21 PM by Tom_London_Fan 2 Quote

Celine draws people from all over the world to her shows — and she’s one of those very few living legends who people want to say “I got the chance to see her live!” I like him too but it’s blatanly clear that Bocceli is just trying to stay relevant / sell albums with these collaborations. So it’s tricky! I don’t want Celine to come across as desperate. But I’d love a smartly chosen collaboration. Like Adele, Annie Lennox (not a new artist, but another legend!), someone like that... 4 Quote

He is 60, into A/C audience ( beside opera), more of an album artist, not played on radio and had his prime in the 90s. mirage Posted November 2, 2018 at 07:10 PM Posted November 2, 2018 at 07:10 PM You can't tell me that there is no other artist who wants to do a duet with Celine. How come we only get duets with old almost dead, or already dead people?! Back in the 90s they missed a lot of great duet partners. And here Andrea sings with Ed and Dua Lipa. Not saying those are the best duet partners but they are current and thats important. But no, celine will go for a Ne-YoWho? Cher’s synth vocal effect was not auto tune, it was a vocoder. Auto tune is used to correct the pitch of one’s voice, ala Britney Spears. 2 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

I think a duet with Ariana would be huge, Ariana and her team are brilliant at marketing, I think since she’s a fan of Celine she would really push it as a single and promote it like crazy. At most importantly, I think a song between has a chance of being one of really good quality. I think it would help both careers for the better. It’s like that Celine/Babs moment of passing the torch to embrace the younger artists. Just my opinion. Quote
