So yeah, I want a new album! Am I selfish for saying this? I don't think so We ALL want that damn new album to be released since 2 years ago, admit it or not!

She loves Performing how long will it take you to realise that’s her passion and her focus. Recording albums for her always has been an excuse to go back and tour. Never has it been her priority that she must release and album NOW, its always been “How can i create a great show for my fans who have already supported my albums for 3 decades” No other legend status artist releases albums OR performs at her rate and she does that.

 

Its like you dont care what Celine wants at all. Celine wants to be a mom and at the same time perform for her fans and new albums have never been at that level even in her hayday in the 90s.

 

No legends release albums at her rate as THEY DONT HAVE TO, you fail to realise many artists in THEIR prime now do not release 3 albums in 8 years as Celine has.

 

 

Lets start with those who are in their primes (expected to release albums consistently)

 

Ariana grande is in her prime and in 5 years has only released 3 albums, all of which mostly flopped. (Over release of albums also results in flops, as was the case with the subsequent releases of ANDHC,OH,Miracle. Each album gets less and less. )

 

Adele, the modern day equivalent of Celine, has released 3 albums in 10 years and shes STILL in her prime.

 

Ed Sheeran, 3 albums in 7 years.

 

Demi Lovato, 4 albums in 7 years.

 

Bruno Mars, 3 albums in 8 years

 

 

 

Now lets look at legends :

 

Michael Jackson, (in the height of his MONUMENTAL popularity) 3 albums in 9 years.

 

Barbra Streisand, 3 in 8 years

 

Mariah Carey, 2 albums in 8 years

 

Whitney Houston, 3 albums in 7 years

 

Prince, 3 albums in 5 years

 

Janet Jackson, 2 albums in 10 years

 

Shall i go on or have i made my point clear

 

 

You said when she gave up her constant performing and touring (basically her life), she will announce new music. It truly is hilarious, shes off vegas doesnt mean its time to do an album, she has other priorities and other things she would rather spend her time on than that.

 

Even if Celine came out and said “I dont like recording albums or releasing them, id much rather perform for my fans” (which shes basically proven and shown over the years), you would still demand an album lol

 

 

I never said it’s something to be shameful of or that its selfish, but its not her priority or her prerogative to release any album.

 

 

Oh and btw, she only actually showed any form of actual conformation and showcase of her recording in Mid to Late 2017 (i think), so i dont know where youre getting this 2 years from, except from a tabloid where she said it was in the proccess but thats no actual form of conformation

i do not want a dance album. And i think most of Celine’s casual and die hard fans want a varied album with classic ballads/powerballads and uptempo songs ala that’s the way it is and a new day has come. Dance tracks okay but then bring out a remixes album. The new album must bring back classic Celine mixed with what is relevant now. Ashes still has a lot of views on youtube and is doing well. So that direction please

Well an album leaning towards more dance doesn't rule out some powerballads being on there aswell.

 

When you look at the uptempo/party parts of her concerts (LCMM,RDMH and a bunch of random half decent covers) it's pretty clear that, besides RDMH, that's her weakest parts of her shows/concert. She is in desperate need to fill that part with good material - and how cool wouldn't it be if it was her own original material! I don't see why uptempo/dance tracks should be seen as such a threat to "the Céline everyone knows". To me it would only build on to her greatness, not take away from it.

 

(I still think she should do an Ashes remix during her party part instead of adding "just another ballad" to her other so overly rich ballad reportoir.)

pardon? do you really think a Celine Dion only dance album will score? And i am not talking about corny songs but well written and good melodies, well arranged. Ashes is an example of that.

No not at the expense of neglecting Artistry! and who are you to know me and attacking me or making me sound like a fool when i just give my opinion? A dance themed album , i do not see that score at all, Her mainstream audience and adult contemporary know her since the 90s. The songs that made her great.

Time for new possible hits imo.

Its such a shame that they don’t release this album now while she is on tour. She should drop a hit single before the tour, like Hechame La Culpa, then release the album during the first concerts, and then do her fashion thing like she always does, and that itself would promote the album. I would love a summer album with fun, light dance and partysongs and not always heavy and reflective songs
