I agree with québecflower... Netflix will serve as promotion but that can also happen the same week as the album is released. And that means that she should be performing a new single on tour soon to make sure it IS on the Netflix special. Otherwise that would be another lost opportunity... :wacko: Edited by Xpresso

Javito, who releases an album every year or two - let alone 50-year-old singers? VERY FEW.

And when you reach 50 yourself, you tell me then if you still have the same will or energy to do what you did when you were in your 20's and 30's.

Just be happy will still get new music at all. And many shows if that's what she likes! We are spoiled and some people don't even acknowledge that.

When Celine was recording Map she said she would record the whole album in one night, so whatever :wtf:

I do hope they'll include the Ashes "demix" on the album since it's modern, unexpected and uptempo - all she needs with this new album.

Well Netflix posted about Céline out of the blue! And Céline is now following Netflix Canada and US... so 1+1 = celinedionforum.com rumours :giggle:

I just don't know if she should do the demix on tour. If she does she should invite Steve Aoki as a special guest!! :-D

Can't stand that "remix", rips the soul out of the song. Now the Laïbert remix on the other hand... 😍

Good point. Especially if Vegas ends during the first half of the year, they could have more flexibility with North American shows to promote it.

 

This is a good point but I do wonder whether they will end the residency during the first half of the year or have it go till the end of December 2019 like most other residencies I've seen at Caesars. P.S. Sent you a DM(actually two lol!) got kinda worried please check it out if you have some time. :)

Netflix has actually been posting about Céline for a while. On Canada day they names Céline the queen of Canada. For some reason I can't find the tweet.

 

And then this happened on Célines Birthday

 

 

And before that I've seen them tweet about her.

Ashes was an iTunes hit, and is now a Dance Club hit so of course it has to be on the album. And if it's nominated at any awards show for best movie song in early 2019, Sony will certainly want to capitalize on that.

I’ll be fuming if Ashes isn’t included on the album!!!! Her best received and most talked about new song in recent years (talking English obviously), I want it on one of her albums. It deserves to be. And yep, it’ll help with the promo and sales of the album.

She often records in the studio the new covers she performs live, so chances are that she could record this song for the album or in future albums LOL

I saw Queen + Adam Lambert last week at a music festival and Brian sang LOML with Freddie coming in through the magic of technology for the last part. Everyone was in tears, me too thinking of Freddie but mainly thinking back to last year with Celine. It really is such a beautiful song, as Brian said ‘truly one of the most beautiful songs ever written’

Songs like Somewhere over the rainbow, Love of my life are meant for the stage to me. There are full of emotions that need to be shared live

So was WAWW... the studio version doesn't do justice to the live version.

Only NB worked on CD... but that's maybe because we had it before the live one. I don't know...

I would LOVE to see them live! I've only seen the Queen Extravaganza (Queen members chose the members of that band) and they were freaking awesome.

 

I've only heard the recorded version of LOML and I wasn't impressed. But I just got to know that song when I heard it (after I heard Céline sing it) so maybe I'll like it more now
