actofcontrition Posted July 6, 2018 at 12:08 AM Posted July 6, 2018 at 12:08 AM But she did with the 2016 tour. She took chances and we know she can. That's enough to expect she can offer "something" more creative, because we know she is able of doing it. Exactly! 2016 was her best tour ever and she choose the songs! She took risks and it pays : there was a big buzz here in Quebec on every channel people were saying wow she sing songs that the general public doesnt know and its working! But then again : nothing for the legacy no cd no dvd. She did it once, she can do it again! If she want to stay in vegas : she can create a big production like a new day. If she doesnt do album for money then its time to work on the dreams she said many time : spanish or jazz album, etc she can try what she want with no pressure! 5 Quote
gafsa Posted July 6, 2018 at 12:09 AM Posted July 6, 2018 at 12:09 AM I'm waiting for the moment when I can see her live, now the moment will come. Even though there's no new album, who am I to complain if I will get what I'm dreaming of for years. Yassss....Some people are happy, and some people are not happy. I think I will complain when she released new album but not touring to the places I can reach. The point is, some of us will always be unhappy, it could be you or me.And if I read on social media, people who complain about no new releases is die hard fans and hater, and I'm talking about real hater, not you guys. General people who bought ticket are happy for the songs that most of us get bored. And they pay 130 to almost 2000 USD for that boring set list. So, I'm looking forwarad for her new album, but I'll be patient for a while. Maybe I'm too easy to please LOL. 1 Quote

Popular Post brisbaneboy Posted July 7, 2018 at 06:28 AM Popular Post Posted July 7, 2018 at 06:28 AM I think her strategy is working beautifully - the tour is going well and those who don’t pick apart the “laziness” or other adjectives used on here, it’s no doubt getting rave reviews across Asia. I am BEYOND excited to see her in Sydney on July 28 and then I’m going to get last minute tickets and take my mum as a surprise in Brisbane on July 31... life long goal for my mum who introduced me to Celine’s TPOL album... And then my true gut instinct is this tour is going to ramp to a new level in Auckland - 3 sold out shows!! I believe she will launch her new single at the final show and we will finally learn the date of the album launch. There’s plenty of realistic time for a Celine album launch in 2018!! I’m unsure why there is so so much negativity and drama from so many on this page. Let’s make this a FUN build up! Like I posted once before - we only get one build up period. Dion2000 Posted July 7, 2018 at 07:22 PM Posted July 7, 2018 at 07:22 PM Because: 1) An artist needs to create in order to keep being relevant in the business and for the public. 2) Because that's what her legacy will be when she's no longer with us: the albums she released and the songs she recorded. Nobody will care if she has performed 1 billion shows in Vegas or 1.579 times the same repetitive concert on a 3-year tour consisting on the same 20 songs setlist. But the audience will do care -and remember- if she keeps offering new recordings and more albums that (hopefully) include enough quality songs that still show ther versatility of her voice and that she can still create and amaze with new beautiful music with her mature voice. 3) and last but not least, because she won't be singing live forever. In fact the amount of songs she supposedly performs with playback versions is increasing alarmingly year after year, tour after tour. Any artist of her success would be delighted to still show the audiences that she can do wonders with her voice, instead of wearing it out singing the same program everywhere she goes over and over again. I'd rather have new music released every 2-3 years before her voice is completely ruined for the over-exposure and abuse she subjects herself than 2.000 shows where we have 2.000 times exactly the same performances! Aaaand, you say that's where the money is, but, does Céline need any money at all??? Does Céline Dion need any money at all to keep touring that much and not recording an album every 5-6 years? Seriously??? Come on!!! No offence, but this is the most stupid argument to sustain the lack of new music we have from her that I've ever heard in her case! If there's a reason why she doesn't release an album every 5 years now, money is absolutely NOT the reason/excuse for that, money would be exactly the last reason on the list in HER case!!! LOL Amen Her playback from 2015-2018 is less than it ever was between 1996 and 2009. Which is funny as its usually the opposite Quote

I'm glad as it isn't gonna be a rushed release, it will come when it comes and that's it, no need to panic. The only thing I really dislike is the lack of releases from the recent tours as they had the best setlists ever with all the new arrangements and songs that had never seen the light of day until then - now THAT is a waste of opportunity, since we know that some concerts were fully recorded by her team. biscuit2 Posted July 8, 2018 at 02:33 PM Posted July 8, 2018 at 02:33 PM (edited) Javito you are so timesome and demanding. You always want more of Céline and seems never satisfaied. Nobody can't live 100 % of time with the pressure of demands and be like other person want her to be. A key of joy in life is acceptance. Acceptance of what the life gives to you. It's not mean being agree but don't be on demand all the time. You are not Céline and you won't change her. Acept that or you will be unhappy for a very long time. Bruno Portugal Posted July 9, 2018 at 09:38 PM Posted July 9, 2018 at 09:38 PM There's something that I simply don't understand. Lots of "cool" artist have said that are true Celine fans like Adele, Justin Timberlake or Drake. Drake released a new album nd claims 7 of the Billboard Hot 100's top 10, breaking The Beatles' record. Why don't these artist collaborate with Celine? Will the new English album present us with a monster duet with Adele, Lady Gaga or Beyoncé, for instance? 2 Quote My Webpage >>> TRIBUTE TO CELINE DION
Javito Posted July 9, 2018 at 10:18 PM Posted July 9, 2018 at 10:18 PM (edited) Because most of these public statements of "I'm a big fan of..." are just purely compliments to each other. This is show business guys, it's full of faked statements made only to please the fanbase of another artist and be polite and nice to each other Céline herself is the first on the list who has always said and keeps saying every time she's asked that she loves absolutely everyone in the business when she's asked about another artist. Does that mean she has to record a duet with this or that singer? Of course not lol Edited July 9, 2018 at 10:20 PM by Javito Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

If 2018 was going to be her last year of residence in Vegas, the definitve last year of performances of her for sure, I bet Caesars would have be announcing this with trumpets and drums the whole year through, and that this was "the final year" (like they did with A New Day in 2007). And besides, Celine may take a rest for one or two years and -unfortunately- come back again, as she did in 2011 for the surprise of everyone, when we thought that chapter was over Edited July 10, 2018 at 08:00 PM by Javito Quote "Hush, now... She is on contract until 2019, but its an unconfirmed solid date all we know is that it was extended until 2019. Due to her illness and being off, she was probably scheduled to finish in like Summer 2019, but Caesars will bleed her dry before her finish so guarenteed they will make her do those shows she missed right up until 31st December 2019 (because obviously she's not going to over stay her contract.). Which is why im saying this. We are barely in july 2018 so they arent going to release posters right now saying “the final year” when we are only half way through this year. They will do so when its actually 2019 or when they announce the rest of the 2019 dates around October/ November this year. Trust me, she extended the contract in 2013 and they kept it this way since. Im pretty sure in the original contract she was on for 5 years (aka until 2016) but due to her wanting stability possibly due to Rene and or the kids, she extended it. Think about it she did the same with RC, she waited till they were older before she toured (as in world wide toured or moved around) or just moved more actively. I do think this is the final year of Vegas for a GOOOD while. I think if she does return to Vegas (she probs will) she wont until shes way older and just needs to stay in a place. Id think on Célines cards we have : a French album, a french tour, a possible South America or South Africa tour, a North America tour, and possibly an expansive Europe tour to new places eg Spain,Portugal,Wales,Hungary,Greece Edited July 10, 2018 at 08:15 PM by Dion2000 Quote

angelil78 Posted July 10, 2018 at 08:32 PM Posted July 10, 2018 at 08:32 PM I can't see her extending because of the cancelled shows. Caesars and Céline are most likely insured for cancellations because of being sick and unable to perform. So the only money that is lost is from the bar and Céline shop. 1 Quote
