Ha yeah that will be interesting...

 

I think people really need to start realising that anything Celine does at this point is a bonus. Her career won't go on forever and she could have just stopped after Rene died if she'd wanted to and I think a lot of people would have understood if she had. Whatever the songs on the new album are like or whoever they have been written or produced by doesn't matter. Just enjoy the ride whilst she's still going and stop comparing her to other artists and suggesting what she should or shouldn't be doing to be relevant. She has never been comparable to anyone else, she is entirely unique.

 

Let's just be excited that she is releasing a new album at all and thankful that she is enjoying performing and has this outlet to express herself and her feelings through what must still be difficult circumstances.

Fingers crossed we won’t have much to be disappointed with, if anything. But like we all say, she can’t please everyone no matter what she does. After Christmas and New Year I think we’ll all be starting to get impatient and desperate to at least get an official release date announcement! 😃

Yeah so far it all looks quite exciting and I imagine it will be different to previous albums in some ways but mainly just business as usual. I'm sure it will keep me entertained for several weeks after it's release either way.

I'm surprised how much hate her recent albums get here.... LMBTL might not be her best but there are still many good and decent songs: LMBTL, SLS, TY, WAAF, DKL, especially Thankful

I think LMBTL would have been better recieved had the entire album been like the first half. There's a big momentum at the beginning and it looses it near the middle to end. That being said there's lots of songs on the album I enjoy and listen to it often.

I didn’t listen to any snippets for LMBTL except for SLS, (well and thankful I think?) and that’s what made the first listen so magical. I loved it. The magic will be that much more if we have no idea what the songs sound like and just absorb them fresh, in full, in the heat of the moment.

I wish there were NO snippets at all, until the day the album is released in full and it's available to purchase. Maybe the first single, but nothing else. If you want to discover the rest of it, go get the album, like in past times (the good times!).

We still get tons of snippets and previews of new singles in the form of short videos (just seconds mosts of times) on Facebook and Instagram stories. In fact that's what they do to create anticipation, they just show some seconds of the new music and a date of release.

The song is so much celine-ish and I would strongly say most of the songs in the movie sound too much meant to be recorded by Celine.

I mean have you seen all those current pop stars ( pop or not actually) flopping one right after another and WITH big hits ( or at least, decent hits. Compared to last Céline's leads, all of them are hits ). It's so scary.

 

I remember when LMBTL came out, it was around the same timeframe of Katy Perry's Prism. Prism was a huge success and her last record released this year hasn't even reached 300.000 copies in the US.

So what will be Céline's reception after a flop, 5 years and no hit?

I can't say that how well the new album sells is keeping me awake at night no. And I doubt she cares either.
