I have faith in this collab. Stephan consistently writes good songs whether it be ANDHC or the stuff he's done with the Weeknd in the past few years. I think Maty Noyes has potential to bring something good to this track (or tracks) despite her own discography being imo kind of bland and by the numbers pop music. But I don't think that is a reason to write her off as not a good fit for Celine. Hopefully she brings her A game to this collab and we get a great track. Plus who knows if she is even involved with the writing of the song? Because when her and Stephan collaborated on the song Angel by the Weeknd she only provided vocals. So maybe she's just singing back up? :hmm:

Well, living in Europe, an old standard English album is 16 tracks.

 

I will be dissapointed with less. Especially if "Recovering" is in it.

I am loving all these beautiful pics of Celine in studio! :clap:I like her darker hair color as well and don't even get me started on those pants. Amazing!

 

I think that we will get this new album much sooner then Fall 2018, if Celine keeps going at the rate anyways. At this point, I cannot wait to hear the pre album launch snippets that her team usually provides the fans with!

Not sure but I guess it also easy to have a chair behind you so she can sit down every now and then.

 

Don't think she is seated all the time.

But for me it's the first time I see her on a very low chair in studio.

I think her bag wanted to sit higher, so she sacrificed herself to sit on the low one..

There is a different sound to the voice when sitting vs standing. When you stand you have better air flow and projection with your voice. I've heard that standing or lying on your back is the best position to be in when singing. I think I've heard David Foster or Andrea Bocelli say that lying down while singing forces you to use your diaphragm and it helps you project certain notes better, or in a different way.

 

I find that usually when I singer sits while singing in studio, it's usually because it's a more intimate song and the artist want to feel close to the floor. I don't know why certain artists feel this way, but I've heard other artists talk about wanting to be close to the floor while singing emotional or intimate songs. I think Christina Aguilera and other artists have spoken about this before.

 

Off of all these seated pictures, I am judging that there is at least a few intimate and personal songs on this album. That's a given though with Rene's passing and all that she's gone through these past few years, I'm sure there will also be some upbeat songs on the album as well though.

That was my thought initially too. Standing on the spot puts a surprising amount of pressure on your back. You definitely know about it when you've got something wrong with it lol. Know I do ☹️

I actually think that sitting puts far more pressure on the lower back nerves then standing does. I get lower back pain as well and I find it more painful to sit then stand. That's just me anyways.

Tbh I think it depends what's wrong with your back. For me it's standing still. Hopefully her back has recovered and she's sitting for some other reason 😀
