They could put those songs on a 2nd CD- bonus tracks

Disney song

And some remixes or other unreleased songs

 

The 1st CD should be immaculate and the most perfect album on the earth

Come on guys, why is this thread filled with people pre-emptively getting angry/annoyed about an album we know barely anything about? What's the point?!?

 

These last 2 years, Céline has given very little reason for fan disappointment (an amazing French album, 2 great tours, some fabulous one-off performances), so can we just give them/her the benefit of the doubt please?

I'm worried about the names that are romoured to contribute songs for this album. There won't be any consistency at all between the tracks unless Sia and Linda Perry gave her slower or more adult-oriented material.

 

I feel this is Celine's last chance to come back with something as strong as "Believe" was for Cher, so they can't make too many mistakes. And this should be a VERY good album now that she drops English albums every five years.

Not sure about Recovering being the past. I would expect it as one of the bonus tracks on the longer version of the album at least.

This is only my opinion. I am almost sure she will pay tribute to Rene , since it's the first English album without him. Maybe with a new song or Recovering. I am almost sure as well that she will write something for him on the cover, as she always did.

I believe that for her this will be a very special album, its the first English album that is totally her call! That's why its taking so long and no leaks. I believe she is giving it her all, for her career, for her, and especially for Rene. He wanted her to go on and continue her career without him. She is a real role model!

And they need someone that has some knowledge creating the track list order in the album. Pretty please. For God's sake, they need to know how to put the songs in the correct order so there's a sense of natural flow and continuity throughout all the album. They've been failing big time on this too for the last two English albums.

This is off topic so sorry- I’ve just been to see Mariah for the second time in Manchester UK. Again, I feel cheated and left very underwhelmed. I love Mariah- I was a huge fan before I discovered Celine.

 

There’s no comparison. Voice, effort, charisma, performance, the show, the lights, the sound, the VOICE. Celine smashes it. We ask so much, we complain so much. And we don’t realise what we have. What she gives. I can’t emphasise enough. What I saw from Celine in London and Leeds this summer was 10X what Mariah just gave.

This is refreshing to hear. We have such high expectations for Celine, yet we forget how much she gives when she performs. She always DELIVERS.

 

I was a huge Mariah fan in the 90s too --- so I've always been curious what going to one of her shows today would be like. It's handy to hear your thoughts. It's sad how different Mariah is now vs. then whereas Celine has remained a workhorse and consistently proves why she deserves her spot among other legends.

Completely agree. This is exactly how I felt after seeing Mariah in Vegas. I am also a fan, was a huge fan in the 90s. Celine is in another universe, no comparison.

I think Taking Chances listens very well from start to finish.

I think whole order of an album is very important but especially the opener and closer. I hope for once maybe they won't put the first intended single as the first track just simply because it's the first single, make the album flow.

 

I think a simple yet beautiful song is always best for the closer of an album.

 

In my opinion "FLY" from "Falling Into You", "Let's Talk about Love" from "Let's talk about Love" , "Skies of La" from "Taking Chances", "Et Jetaime Encore" from "One Heart", and "Nature Boy" from "A New Day Has Come" WERE ALL GOOD closing songs for a album.

 

I don't think her team chose wisely for "Loved Me To Life" by choosing "Unfinished songs", Personally I think the clear closer of that album would've been "Thank You".

I’m also thinking about the general public. I’m sure there are many casual fans who would see the songs I mentioned, and be quite happy having them as deluxe edition tracks from a place like Target. Besides, I think ending the album with “How Does A Moment Last Forever” could be a very heartwarming move.

That's why the format "Extended Play" should have been used already. All those tracks you mention should have been released already -if they wanted- in an EP or whatever use, and get rid of them. Recovering, TSMGO and all in between. That's what should have happened with the Vegas covers they wanted to include by force in LMBTL album.

 

Enough of recycling songs that are 2-3 years old already by the time she releases a new album. I don't even want them as a bonus disc on Target nor as iTunes bonus tracks. They are OLD songs
