I’m booking Titanique for a night out after this absolute s*** show of 48 hrs, to take my mind off this and have a bloody good night out… but they both should hold their heads in shame, for how they arranged this.

Greed… not a connection, not loyalty, not a long history relationship between long term fans & their artist… just greed and numbers!

After 30 years, die hard fans should not be subjected to such an ordeal for tickets… what happened to TC presales which worked well last time round?

Sign up for updates and hear announcements first, ok… sounds good!

Done.

Then F all!!!!

Is TC no more then?

I love Céline, but I refuse to jump through hoops, take part in a random lottery, or feel this anxious and then pay a fortune for decent seats left over to see her after people who “got lucky” and have been a fan for a few months or are not even a fan who got lucky before us “in a lottery”, it’s all wrong… and Rene would have never have signed this off or been comfortable with this.

I know he’s not here but he knew how the relationship worked and he respected that!

Those going to Paris, have fun, enjoy, I’m happy for you…

But it’s all been handled wrong.

Thats all!

Titanique for Vanity Fair: https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/story/how-titanique-sailed-from-a-grocery-store-basement-to-broadway

“As much as Titaníque is about the film Titanic, it’s really about Céline Dion. Mindelle has been playing the legendary singer on and off for the better part of 10 years, and Dion is an almost godlike figure to her. While Dion hasn’t made it to a Titaníque performance yet, her manager and publicist have. What would happen if the queen herself attended a Broadway performance of Titaníque?

“Marla will s*** and gag,” says Rousouli.

“Oh my God. If she ever comes, I always say that I’ll faint,” says Mindelle. “She’ll walk onstage, over my dead body, and the show will be exactly the same.” She corrects herself. “It’ll be even better.” Rousouli laughs. “She won’t even pick up the script,” he says. Mindelle can’t help but break into her Dion impression, now second nature for her. “She’ll be like, ‘Okay, let’s go for a walk.’”

They joke, but their devotion to Dion is very serious. Mindelle credits Dion with being one of the three pop divas who taught her how to sing, alongside Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. “That was my holy trinity,” she says. The team is well aware that Dion hasn’t had the easiest past decade. In January of 2016, her beloved husband, René Angélil, died at the age of 73. In 2022, Dion was diagnosed with a rare neurological disease, stiff-person syndrome, which led to her canceling shows and retreating from the public eye for a spell.

“I don’t know her, I’ve never met her, but so many people in her orbit have come to see the show, and they say she would absolutely love this,” says Mindelle. “So it is our goal to really, really let her legacy live on—whether she’s sick, whether she’s healthy, it doesn’t matter. For us, she is the greatest gift to this whole experience. She is what makes the show so good, because she has so much heart.”

Titaníque is nothing if not a celebration of Dion—her quirks, her eccentricities, and her massive talent. Despite her setbacks, Dion, much like Titaníque, has persevered due to her indomitable spirit, performing on the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony in 2024 and recently announcing a comeback concert series in the same city this September and October. “That’s what we try to instill every night. We want you to feel love and joy,” says Mindelle. “We don’t want to take the piss out of her in any way, shape, or form, you know what I mean? She is an icon, she’s a diva, she is the moment.””

Omg I'm having similar Celine ticket hangover/therapy or something, just got myself a nosebleed for Titanique 😅 Caught it off broadway before, but not with the original/star studded cast so this should be fun!

Lots of Titanique press this week, since it’s Broadway premiere day!

https://people.com/deborah-cox-reveals-why-starring-in-broadway-s-titanique-musical-is-a-real-full-circle-moment-exclusive-11944966

“So I feel like this show in some ways is not only a love letter to Céline because of the story and everything, but a real full circle moment for me just as an artist and a performer,” Cox, who stars as the “Unsinkable Molly Brown” in the musical, adds. “She was somebody that was one to watch as far as her discipline in the way that she took care of her voice, took care of her, the way she had such stamina throughout the tour. She was just a really kind boss.”

What's a Broadway premiere (as the show has been running for a couple of days / week now right ?) ?

Is this show already 10 years old? I thought it was something new.

Hope one day Celine will visit them. It would be so cool!

The first few weeks of a new run are considered "previews" - it's when the production works out any kinks and finalizes the staging, running order, etc., before the official opening night.  Critics also don't review the previews - it's kind of like a short practice run, and then critics review the official opening night, when everything should be running smoothly and everyone's comfortable in their role.

It means that when you go to see a preview, you might not see the show in what will ultimately be its final form - it'll be close, but some revisions will likely be made before opening night, particularly if you go to an early preview.  (And in extreme circumstances, entire storylines can be reshuffled!)

Just back from seeing Titanique in London and what a fun couple of hours.

I got upgraded to front row and managed to see UK comedian Tom Allen in his 2nd last show of his run as Ruth and he was hilarious.

they even included me for a bit in the show lol.

I have to say though I missed Layton as the iceberg *CENSORED*, as he was bloody amazing, so may have to see it in NYC were he’s currently starring in it.

Also despite being sold out, Céline posters were everywhere and I mean everywhere in Piccadilly Circus tube station for Paris.

It was a Céline overload afternoon that I really needed ☺️

With such reviews and if attendance is decent, then maybe the show could be extended beyond the 16-week run, no ?

it deppends if the theater is already booked for another show or not...

here in Brazil is easy to find that information... I don't know how Broadway works...
