Anyways, I cant picture her singing that song at all. It wouldnt suit her voice, and the more she wants to sing it the more she will have to hear that Celine covered it first. Ok just bring on the song if she does cover it.

yes i cant believe that dress mariah wore either, i think it wsas totally ridicolous as well with her boobs hanging out, i remember 2 months ago that people were complaining about the dress that celine wore for the voice season finale, while yes the dress celine wore was a little bit racy and different than what she normally wears, but shes still nowhere as trashy and slutty as mariah is with that dress, celine still has alot more class and dignity than mariah has in recent uears, and no mariah wasnt like this when she was younger during the 90s, she was much more similar to celine back then... BUT I DO SEE QUITE THE IRONY AROUND HERE LOL WITH SOME PPL BEING DEFENSIVE ABOUT ONE PERSONS FIGURE WHILE COMMENTING ON ANOTHER PERSONS FIGURE QUITE IRONIC LOL... as most of you here have been off-topic and talked about vocal ability, i also want to contribute my little voice ))

Mariah might be sometimes better than Celine when she can write songs and produces them. And oviously, her range is wider than Celine's. But Mariah has made use of whitsle technique so much - it used to really breathtaking that she can't be the owner of it these day. When she tries to hit high notes by whistling, it's nothing but painful and horrible. What is more, for the extremely high notes, she can't reach them with head voice. That's why she was beaten at Divas Live 1998 when she couldn't join Areatha Franklin. In short, the wide range can be everything or can be nothing )). btw, I really like the way Celine stood up to fight for all the remaning divas at Divas Live 1998 even though she had no idea what the song Aretha chose was

that was completely horrible and annoying at the same time. My dog even looked at me while that played with a look of disgust. I highly doubt title of the song Mariah is to have on her new album is ABM . I haven't bought Mariah's music since I can't remember as it has been a very long time. I'm sorry guys, I don't mean to offend anyone, as I loved Mariah Carey back in the day when she covered OA, etc. but to me this clip just sounds like a dog's high pitched screech. I was never a fan of that part of her voice anyways, but that was just awful. I really hope that's not the style she uses in this song. If she's going to cover it, even if she makes it her own and different from Celine's, I really hope she does much better than this.

I guess that's all down to preference. I personally don't mind it. It definitely ties into her "diva" act which people can take a little too seriously so she can seem off putting. I don't think people realize that her ~diva~ act is really just an ongoing joke and she is actually very endearing and quite hilarious. I can see why people would judge that more than her talent though which is a shame because she is incredibly gifted.

 

It's alright people have different likes and dislikes. It's ok to not like her for her musical style but sometimes people can go a little too far with the personal insults.
