The way she dress at her age shows she is a woman with no decency and no class. Celine doesn't need to do and wear this kind of outfit just to get attention. So I am a racist now because I criticize her outfit.

 

Seriously, she is aproaching 50 and she still cant wear modest clothes. I am not saying she should be on turtle neck all the time. But a decent one like Celine, Shania, Whitney, Barbra... As the saying goes: "You have to respect yourself to be respected by others".

Kind of like she did with I Know What Love Is. I already know it won't be better than Celine's version. Celine made the song into the power ballad it is. But I can't wait to read all of those wars on whose the better singer.

Until now that is, do you guys really have to talk crap about Mariah like that? Calling her fat and a slut. First of all what gives you the write to criticize someone you don't know? Mariah is a beautiful, talented woman if she chooses to show off some skin thats on her. She's comfortable enough to dress like that why bring her down? She's not your typical anorexic Hollywood types. She has an actual figure, a real womans figure. She's struggled with her weight for a long time just like most people. Six years ago she was beyond model skinny, she wanted to have children and did. In case you didn't know you gain weight when you have children. Even then earlier this year she lost a lot of weight. I was at the American Idol taping of her performance 3rd row and omg the camera adds on weight. The woman looked super thin. She was absolutely Beautiful, she looked like a Barbie doll just flawless. She recorded her performance 3 times and in between performances she talked to the audience joked around with us and even sung some of her classic songs acapella She was a true Diva that night. Ever since she broke her arm this past summer she hasn't been able to work out, and she has put on a little bit of weight, but thats to be expected when she can't work out. We're Celine Dion fans we're suppose to be classy and not bring down one of Celine's peers.

As for all of the complains about Mariah potentially covering All By Myself its not Celine's song sure she gave it a new lease on life, but I for one am interested on what Mariah has to offer. Mariah has never been an artist to half #ss a cover and do a Karaoke cover. Lets face it Celine has done this with the majority of her covers. I love Celine I own every single english album she's ever recorded and a few of her french albums, but if Celine wasn't the one singing these songs I just wouldn't care I can connect with Celine, because I myself am a singer. I love her passion, emotion, cord progression in her songs, and the epic key changes that make me excited as a singer.

Let me ask you a question, do you think that black dress with her boobs falling out is beautiful? I think it's super trashy, and to be fair, it's far from classy. And when you wear something like that you can't expect people to not talk about it. Sure she's beautiful, but she is kind of trashy. And as Celine fans we criticize her choices all the time because we want more. Fans are usually very selfish, but none of that takes away how much we actually love her. (Celine that is, not Mariah.)

You just wrote a whole paragraph defending Mariah from those who supposedly called her fat while in facts only ONE person made a reference to her weight. The other points you made are barely valid. We don't have to know her in person to say we dislike her outfit. Second, how come she has a real woman's figure when her boobs are fake? Keep in mind that most of us are adults, we won't follow Celine's public (Key Word: Public) persona. The fact that Celine has never publicly criticized anyone doesn't mean we should be following her lead. A rhetorical question... What else does this woman has to do to come off as trashy for you? I slightly disagree. You talk about what behaviour Mariah shows us but we can't be sure if this is her true self. I think it's all about image.

 

Same can be said for Miley example. Maybe she is normal person unlike her media personna. Celine's image may be considered boring but at least its not controversial. Celine is way more professional and sincere on interviews etc unlike Mariah who looks uninterested, bored and jelaous
