Javito Posted November 21, 2013 at 11:35 PM Posted November 21, 2013 at 11:35 PM It's official, Open Arms is amazing. Even as a crappy quality snippet I love it more than At Seventeen lol. Me 2!!! Of all the extremely booooooring covers included which are all a snooze fest and don't match at all with the rest of the album, Open Arms had to have the BEST and most fresh arrangements!! It even sounds like a new song! They never get it right 1 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

CelineDionForeverNY Posted November 21, 2013 at 11:43 PM Posted November 21, 2013 at 11:43 PM Open Arms sounds amazing. Having listened to it live at Vegas and now this album version, I adore Celine's version of this song. Far superior to the "modern" Overjoyed and At Seventeen. 1 Quote http://i.imgur.com/dQ1vYVz.jpgMais qui peut dire, qu’il peut vivre sans amour, qui?
LVCeline Posted November 22, 2013 at 12:15 AM Posted November 22, 2013 at 12:15 AM Woohoo! I think she's going to belt it out towards the end, it sounds like it was building. The arrangement sounds veeery original and different from Vegas. I cant wait to hear it! Quote

Your_Su_Phu Posted November 22, 2013 at 12:20 AM Posted November 22, 2013 at 12:20 AM (edited) There are some serious sadists who love teasing in the Celine fandom. Why not just leak the whole thing already. December is a century away Edited November 22, 2013 at 12:21 AM by Your_Su_Phu Quote
Your_Su_Phu Posted November 22, 2013 at 12:22 AM Posted November 22, 2013 at 12:22 AM (edited) I DON'T GET IT!! Lol! Why does Japan get this and not the rest of the world? I'm happy for the Japan fans but come on! Really? Who makes these decisions? This has already been explained in detail a million times.CDS are a lot more expensive there, and piracy is also way less rampant. I have heard people complaining about the inflated prices they paid for imported Celine albums from their European country - but that's hardly a typical case. Record labels aren't here to cater to individuals but to general markets Edited November 22, 2013 at 12:25 AM by Your_Su_Phu Quote
Xpresso Posted November 22, 2013 at 12:24 AM Posted November 22, 2013 at 12:24 AM If LMBTL is re-released, I would buy it AGAIN ($$$) if Open Arms and The Muppets Song are on it!! 4 Quote

mike_z Posted November 22, 2013 at 01:32 AM Posted November 22, 2013 at 01:32 AM (edited) God, I guess I'm gonna have to buy the japanese edition! It could be a big hit in Japan! it's still the same key as Vegas so I really doubt she's gonna belt towards the end. We'll see! ps: i'm loving those vocals in the first verse... she sounds so young! Edited November 22, 2013 at 01:33 AM by mike_z Quote

NicoNV Posted November 22, 2013 at 02:18 AM Posted November 22, 2013 at 02:18 AM It sounds very different from the Vegas version, but I really like it. I like the Vegas version too though. I wish they would at least sell it on iTunes or something. But, it will probably end of as a re-release special edition version. I will probably buy it, and then wonder how I ended up with 4 versions of the same album, haha. 1 Quote

tristan.josef Posted November 22, 2013 at 03:49 AM Posted November 22, 2013 at 03:49 AM open arms snippet sounds so promising! although i wish they would have just been the basic piano at the beginning without the extra beats and just her voice...that part in vegas when the song first starts and its just her and the piano always gives me chills and i think its so beautiful. so excited to hear the whole thing in HQ ahhh! any word yet on where we'll be able to buy the single only if we live in the US? Chin Posted November 22, 2013 at 04:31 AM Posted November 22, 2013 at 04:31 AM Open Arms should replace Lullaby... It fits more in the album 1 Quote

MalaysiaCeline Posted November 22, 2013 at 06:38 AM Posted November 22, 2013 at 06:38 AM Can i understand further why at the first place "open arms" has been chosen as the opening song for vegas show? since this song was made so popular and well-received by mariah carey, vice versa, i woundn't see is make any sense for mariah carey to open up a years long show with The Power of Love? is that a special meaning? because end up no matter how good the song Celine interpreted own her own way and emotion, the song was labeled to mariah carey despite she is also covering the song from orginal singer. any friends here would like to enlighten me on this ? First of all, you can't compare Mariah's version of "Open Arms" to Celine's "The Power Of Love"...TPOL was a MASSIVE hit. "Open Arms" is just a Mariah fan favorite because it really was a fantastic cover. Celine opens the show with "Open Arms" because it's meaningful to her. Plain and simple. 2 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

I didn't know that it was MC's big hit. Quote
