"Loved Me Back To Life" album - Official Topic

I dislike the studio version of the song as much as you do. I have this theory though that Celine really needs to perform live these old songs in order to make this album a success in United States. They love ''old-school'' Celine and I seriously think this market is not ready to embrace the - Celine who sings ''Somebody loves somebody'' and ''Water and a flame'' with her ''bedroom voice''-. Any Celine song that is not a power ballad (except for 'That's the way it is', the exception that proves the rule) has pretty much failed in United States. If ''Overjoyed'' is enough to make housewives (no shade intented) buy the album, then I will even support a CD-single release! (Now is the moment you slap me. )

I think ''Breakaway'' would be a better choice as a single than ''Overjoyed''.

Not sure if you saw my post in the 'Breakaway' thread earlier Ken Bruce on Radio 2 (UK) played 'Breakaway' this morning Ken congratulated Celine on getting to #3 in the album chart, her best position in years - he said 'she's back with a vengeance!' With Celine's performance being shown on BBC Strictly Come Dancing in December, could this mean its the 2nd single? P x
