mike_z Posted November 10, 2013 at 02:52 PM Posted November 10, 2013 at 02:52 PM It's so exciting to know the song could be a potential hit! It's really in a league of its own in comparison to all of the other new album tracks (though I love many of them). The perfect single. We wanted it SO badly in the US -- but for it to be a hit in the UK would be fabulous! Hopefully it will feed its success here too!! It's in a league of its own in comparison to all the other singles she's released since IDAN! Quote
chrischn_celine Posted November 10, 2013 at 03:11 PM Posted November 10, 2013 at 03:11 PM (edited) Incredible her position in Germany! #26 any chances of charting there? And yeah fasten your seat belts because the song is going to rocket in the UK tonight!!! back to life!! Still holding strong at #30. Anything could happen! I think that maybe next friday LMBTL-Single can chart there. There are the sellings in the time between 1.11. and 7.11.2013. It's also the time of the first album-week here in germany. The performance on "Wetten, dass" was yesterday. So this raising will be seen on the charts which come out on November 23rd (friday too). But the single will definately charting in Germany I think. It's around #20-#30 on iTunes the last days. PQTME reaches something like position 12 a few weeks ago and fell down very fast day to day and it reached number 39 in the official single charts. So it's a big chance to get in the charts for the single. Edited November 10, 2013 at 03:12 PM by chrischn_celine 1 Quote

That'd explain why LMBTL charted only in the Netherlands & Belgium and not in Switzerland, Denmark so on. Quote
manilou Posted November 10, 2013 at 03:33 PM Posted November 10, 2013 at 03:33 PM The song is also #19 on itunes Switzerland and #28 in Austria.Wetten dass is broadcast in those countries as well as Northern Italy and Luxembourg... It's a shame it lost soo much popularity. Used to be the best place to promote in the German speaking world (Probably still is). After her performance in 2007, TC was #1 on amazon.de and now its only in the 20s ;( 1 Quote http://s03.flagcounter.com/count/idbH/bg=FFFFFF/txt=000000/border=CCCCCC/columns=6/maxflags=248/viewers=3/labels=0/.jpg

chrischn_celine Posted November 10, 2013 at 03:37 PM Posted November 10, 2013 at 03:37 PM So the official chart in Germany shows not the previous week, but the week before, right? Is it the same in other countries? That'd explain why LMBTL charted only in the Netherlands & Belgium and not in Switzerland, Denmark so on. It's a little bit different in every country. For example: Sales week of Nov. 1st to Nov. 7th (friday to thursday)... In Switzerland the charts come out every wednesday, in austria on thursdays and germany on fridays. So the first week sales of the album will be on that charts on following dates: Wed, 13th November: SwitzerlandThu, 14th November: AustriaFri, 15th November: Germany This time we have different release dates in the world, so that the weeks of charting will be more confusing. The Netherlands for example seems to be very fast up to date with the release of the weekly charts there. The #1-postiton is the same sales week which will be released next week in Germany... OMG very confusing 1 Quote

I am wondering why her album performs so poorly on I-tunes there. It was around Top 10 yesterday, then declined to #28 and now that. Random thought... Is it possible that this happens because her latest world tour didn't do well in Australia? Celine got sick, canceled concerts and didn't manage to sell out. It was like 60% capacity. Probably this was bad for her image. 'My Love' only peaked at #24 and her DVD/CD release of the tour got no certification. The fact that 'Loved me back to life' had no impact on singles charts definitely adds to all that. Edited November 10, 2013 at 04:36 PM by LukeD Quote

idroveallnight Posted November 10, 2013 at 04:49 PM Posted November 10, 2013 at 04:49 PM Probably posted already but: http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/5785676/eminems-mmlp2-set-for-no-1-with-750k-celine-dion-heading-for-no-2Dion's "Loved" -- which looks like it will bow at No. 2 -- will bring her total of top 10 albums to 12. It will also mark her highest-charting album since 2003's "One Heart" debuted and peaked at No. 2.However, her new album's first-week sales could be her smallest for a new studio set since 1993's "The Colour Of My Love" bowed with 16,000 (at No. 88). Her last studio release, 2007's "Taking Chances," debuted and peaked at No. 3 with 214,000 sold in its first week. The new album's first single (its title track), has not charted on the Billboard Hot 100 yet, though it did peak at No. 24 on the Adult Contemporary airplay chart. It has so far sold 49,000 downloads. Quote

peanut91 Posted November 10, 2013 at 05:30 PM Posted November 10, 2013 at 05:30 PM If i recall, its not uncommon for some artists to get radio stations to NOT play certain singer. And I also recall that Samantha Ronson, a US Disk Jokey reported to Daniel Merriweather (an ausssie singer) that celine stole his water and a flame and did not give him credit on a katie couric interview. Which I thought was stupid, because obviously we know celine doesnt write her own english songs and she was mostly talking about adele, not adele writing the song itself. Would it be wrong to consider the possibility that the reason radio stations refuse to play LMBTL is because of ronson and aussie preformance not doing good because of merriweather? LOL ironicaly, SIA is aussie too so idk. Just something thats been in the back of my head. again its not uncommong for this type of thing to happen Quote
