PatrickDion22 Posted November 10, 2013 at 02:48 AM Posted November 10, 2013 at 02:48 AM Any update on U.S. sales estimates? Is it still predicted to sell around 80k? Quote Follow me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/patjsully
beelee Posted November 10, 2013 at 04:05 AM Posted November 10, 2013 at 04:05 AM Any update on U.S. sales estimates? Is it still predicted to sell around 80k? The latest estimate from Billboard is still at around 80k. [http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/5785676/eminems-mmlp2-set-for-no-1-with-750k-celine-dion-heading-for-no-2] However, their estimate is based on this: "The Building Chart reflects the first four days (Monday through Thursday) of SoundScan's tracking week (which ends Sunday) as reported by six major merchants: iTunes, Trans World Entertainment, Best Buy, Starbucks, Target and Anderson Merchandisers. Billboard estimates that they make up about 85% of all U.S. album sales." So I wonder if QVC is already factored in, or if the 10k+ copies will be added to the final number... I guess we'll find out soon! Quote

CelineVT Posted November 10, 2013 at 07:29 AM Posted November 10, 2013 at 07:29 AM Not sure if already posted, but: Billboard: Eminem's 'MMLP2' Set for No. 1 With 750K, Celine Dion Heading for No. 2 http://www.billboard...eading-for-no-2 "Eminem's album will likely be one of three debuts in next week's top 10, as he will be joined by Celine Dion's "Loved Me Back to Life" and Avril Lavigne's self-titled album. Dion's effort is aiming for a start of around 80,000, while Lavigne is on course for a bow of perhaps 40,000.Dion's "Loved" -- which looks like it will bow at No. 2 -- will bring her total of top 10 albums to 12. It will also mark her highest-charting album since 2003's "One Heart" debuted and peaked at No. 2.However, her new album's first-week sales could be her smallest for a new studio set since 1993's "The Colour Of My Love" bowed with 16,000 (at No. 88). Her last studio release, 2007's "Taking Chances," debuted and peaked at No. 3 with 214,000 sold in its first week." Quote

shak ali Posted November 10, 2013 at 01:16 PM Posted November 10, 2013 at 01:16 PM I think we are poised for something special tonight on the charts after x factor. ....she is nicely placed on the charts today to really deliver something incredible from tomorrow. ..I have emailed all relevant radio stations in the UK that have not played her to let them know of the chart positions x factor performance and the fact that they will have to play her.... 3 Quote
shak ali Posted November 10, 2013 at 01:24 PM Posted November 10, 2013 at 01:24 PM All the huge UK supermarkets now have a huge share of the physical cd sales after the demise of HMV...its mums in there mostly so hoping for great displays in store will trigger impulse purchase. ...the top 3 are all advertising the album available to pre order.....will share pics when I nip into my local 24 hour superstore...from midnight....already ordered 2 versions on amazon and dont mind buying some as gifts lol.... 2 Quote
Shaun Posted November 10, 2013 at 01:26 PM Posted November 10, 2013 at 01:26 PM The supermarkets will definitely contribute to the sales but don't forget HMV still has over 140 stores in the UK so they should contribute lots of sales too. It's where i'm going to buy the deluxe edition tomorrow morning as I wait for my standard edition, vinyl and single to arrive from Amazon. wjd Posted November 10, 2013 at 02:07 PM Posted November 10, 2013 at 02:07 PM The three big supermarkets in the UK [Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's] have between 11-12% of the total physical albums market share, so she'll need to be on sale in these places or we'll be a bit doomed! 1 Quote Céline Dion, music's greatest ever singer, the biggest-selling Canadian artist of all-time and most successful female live act ever - what's not to love?

smw Posted November 10, 2013 at 02:48 PM Posted November 10, 2013 at 02:48 PM It's so exciting to know the song could be a potential hit! It's really in a league of its own in comparison to all of the other new album tracks (though I love many of them). The perfect single. We wanted it SO badly in the US -- but for it to be a hit in the UK would be fabulous! Hopefully it will feed its success here too!! 4 Quote
