Second single: "Incredible" - Duet with Ne-Yo

i have a deep, deep feeling that the video wont be shown to the world until 10 years from now when someone will finally put the video on youtube, just like what happened to the videos of the songs "if walls could talk", "water from the moon", etc... & many other videos of celines other minor hits from the past 20 years...

 

 

here is a scenerio from 10 years from now, in the 2024, that might happen w/ the way that sony is handling celines career these days lol: a conversation between a huge celine fan (code name is c.f.), & a casual listener (code name is c.l.), who are good friends w/ each other in real life, about the video for incredible which was just uploaded on youtube the day before, sometime in march 2024:

 

 

c.f.: hey did u watch the music video of "incredible" from celine dion & neyo that was just put on youtube yesterday????

 

 

c.l.: yeah i did, i think its a pretty good song from celine dion, & i havent heard a new song from her in several years lol... im glad that she finally is releasing new music after all these years...

 

 

c.f.: ummmm i really dont know how to tell u this my friend, but the song "incredible" from celine & neyo was released over 10 YEARS AGO back in 2014, from celines "loved me back to life" album back in 2013, the last album that celine has ever released, its not a new song from celine @ all, im sorry to disappoint u...

 

 

c.l.: really???? cuz i have never heard of this song before or have even heard or known about her album "loved me back to life", this is all news to me... in fact i didnt even know that she had a new album out back then, that really sucks... gee now i wonder what ever happened to her????

 

 

c.f.: wow i dont know what happened to celine dion either, i think she has retired... up until a few years ago, she was still performing in las vegas which was a big success for her, but she stopped recording music after her album lmbtl was relased cuz it wasnt successful as all of her previous albums were, so i guess sony didnt wanna spend the time & money to work on another album w/ celine... wow such a shame isnt it... & i still think that celine is still one of the greatest female singers ever... boy i really sure do miss hearing new music from her...

When Rene was sick the first time, she was on a MAJOR world tour and her career had been going and going. She had never taken a break, so that was a different time and she had to make that announcement. Rene stayed home because he was having rigorous treatments. Chemo/Radiation etc. This time, he had surgery and he seems to be fine. But like I said in a previous post..(which you probably read and just didn't really pay any attention to) I said that when people are diagnosed with cancer, they are monitored for a little while to see if the cancer is growing. Doctors tell their patients to take it easy, but otherwise continue living a normal life. Travelling obviously was not thought by his doctors to be too stressful on his body, therefore he didn't have to stay home this time. Also because he was not receiving the same treatments as last time that would have forced him to stay grounded.

When Kev was talking about waiting for the DVD, we didn't wait for it because of editing. We waited for 2 main reasons...they decided to re-film it because the first one that they filmed, they didn't like the final product. It was supposed to be released in the fall of 2004, to coincide with the summer release of "A New Day...Live In Las Vegas" the album. Then they re-filmed it and the release kept getting postponed...much like "Loved Me Back To Life."

 

Sony isn't giving anyone special treatment. It's business...not favoritism. Celine's hey day is over. Now they have to promote the artists that are most popular. Celine's dwindling popularity for the top 40 world is not because of Sony's promotion...it's because she was already at the top, and now there's new artists that people are gravitating to. A lot of Beyonce fans I'm sure are also fans of Celine...it's just that the pinnacle of Celine's career has already happened, and she is no longer current. Relevant yes, in different ways than in the 90's, but she is no longer current. Sony has to do more promoting for their artists that are currently hot in order to make money. It's all about business with the record companies.

 

 

 

 

The dates on Wikipedia were rumors, not facts confirmed by any official source. I could go edit Wikipedia right now and say that "every night, after Celine performs "My Heart Will Go On" and she turns to the band, she farts into the audience." Would you believe it just because it was on Wikipedia?

 

Nobody is being naive and gullible...we're being realistic. We are used to waiting for things when it comes to Celine. Another unofficial source said that the release of the video is supposed to coincide with something very special or very important. I can't remember the exact wording. But that was not an official word from TeamCeline or SONY/BMG. The video is probably done being edited, they're just waiting for the right time. Possibly to have the song re-issued as the first single from Ne-yo's new album. Now, that is not an official word either...that's just a theory that I came up with after I did a little research about this summer's album releases.

well i still think that sony should have put more effort & support into lmbtl, cuz celine is one of their longest & the most loyal clients & after 25 years of being their client & bringing them lots of money, & she is still working her behind off to bring us that album in the first place & still is one of the most talented singer on this planet, better than most of the other singers who are only half her age lol... i mean, how would u feel if u were working really hard, staying long hours for many years & constantly putting in overtime hours, & u are now waiting on being promoted & getting a pay raise & the recognition for all of ur hard work & sacrificing... but then comes along someone younger & prettier than u, but isnt as smart as u are & isnt as hard of a worker as u, GETS THE PROMOTION, PAY RAISE, & THE RECOGNITION INSTEAD OF U!!!! i know that i would not be too happy & i would most likely not stay w/ that company much longer, cuz i wouldnt wanna be w/ a company who disrespected me like that... luckily i have had it pretty good for the most part where i have been working @ for the past 6 years... but i now wonder if maybe celine might feel this way, especially now after rene getting cancer again... it does make me wonder if we will get another album from her after this, cuz alot of other forum members on here are having the same exact feelings now since lmbtl is now dead in the water & so is incredible it seems... :( :(

 

 

& about incredible being on neyos new albums as well, i highly doubt that is the case either as to the reason for delays of the video... now yes its a good theory, but its not a realistic one, especially when neyo is working w/ other r&b & hip-hop singers & rappers on his new album, @ least according to his regular updated twitter... & lets face it my friends, celine is NOWHERE NEAR inside the r&b & most defintely not the hip-hop & rap world lol... i think that it would ruin neyos street cred & current popularity if he added a duet w/ celine dion to his album w/ mostly r&b & w/ a little bit of hip-hop in the album... now please dont get me wrong, i like neyo as a singer & he does have a very nice & smooth voice & is a very talented songwriter, even before he worked w/ celine which is an added bonus for me lol, my 2 favorite songs from neyo is "closer" & "hate that i love you", a duet w/ rihanna, & i also like incredible of course, i think that he is a very talented singer & songwriter... but recently neyo has name-dropped in his twitter & facebook accounts any other people that he collaborated w/ these days that are possibly gonna appear on his new album... NOWHERE SINCE DECEMBER, SINCE HE & CELINE PERFORMED THE SONG ON THE VOICE SEASON FINALE, WHICH WAS ALMOST 4 MONTHS AGO NOW BTW, has neyo mentioned anything about incredible, the video, or about celine herself, so i dont think that incredible will be featured on neyos upcoming album... & even if it didnt appear on his album, i think it might be a good idea... cuz i think that lmbtl would be completely killed cuz his fans would buy his new album but not lmbtl... :( :(

When Celine started her English career in the early 90's, they were trying to figure out what direction to put her in. I don't think it would hurt Ne-yo's "street cred" at all to include this song on his album....he freakin wrote it. Did it kill the credibility of all the artists that did duets with Tony Bennett in 2 albums? No...it didn't. In fact, Celine has even charted on the R&B charts before...

At least we know that something was recorded for a planned music video. We were supposed to receive not a single video from the album until they finally listened to our requests. I still believe that the video will eventually be released. There is no reason for the video not to because of the money and time spent on it.

To promote the song for the general audience saying that "Celine has a new music video soon!" I guess they didn't think that they would take more than three months to make a video though. well anyway back to the topic of incredible & its no-show video... im not the one posting false information on here, im not wikipedia, celinedionitalia, or the red heads who all were saying the video was supposed to be released last month or that the video is supposed to be tied to some "special event"... & neither of those rumors have come true, just like incredible being a part of the olympics, which celine did 3 interviews in february on the set of the music video: celine & neyo interviewed "good morning america" & "access hollywood live", & celine also did a solo interview w/ a reporter from an australia talk show... personally i think that celine & neyo shouldnt have done interviews about the video if sony isnt planning on releasing it @ all, that is the fault of sony who are the ones who arranged the interviews & arranged for the video to be filmed, but yet arent going to release it, thats stupid & ridicolous, but thats just how sonys way of "thinking & using logic & reasoning" these days when it comes to celines music lol...

yea but that was back in the 1990s when celine released "because you loved me" & "im your angel", so that was a very long time ago... & if incredible is such an cool r&b type song, then how come the top 40 radio stations in america wont dare touch it... the top 40 stations are dominated by mostly r&b, hip-hop, & dance music...

 

 

& werent u one of the people on this forum who told me a few weeks ago that celine isnt popular nowadays & wont ever be played on top 40 stations again... no sorry to say this, but celine isnt nowhere near the current popularity of neyo whose music still being played on top 40 stations & celine hasnt had a song played on any top 40 stations in the usa in over 10 years or so, im going by what u say...

& unlike celines fb & twitter pages, neyo does keeps his fb & twitter pages regularly updated, & there has not been one shread of info about incredible or the video or any mention of celine herself from neyo, the last time he mentioned anything related to celine or incredible was back in december, which was almost 4 months ago...

 

 

& he does like to name drop everyone who he is working w/ & he has mentioned quite a few people that he has been working w/ for his new album & celines name or incredible hasnt been mentioned @ all, so get all ur hopes up about that, or about the video being released...

 

 

u all like to get ur hopes up too easily & i have been guilty of that too when it comes to celines music cuz i love her music & i wanna see great things work out for her cuz shes so talented & she really deserves to have success & respect, just like w/ this frickin video...
