I see we haven't had no thread to talk about this song yet. Even though we have no clue how the song might be, it's worth and fun to talk about the song and express you ideas and be agressive, maybe ). From many previous sources of information, we know this one wil be the lead single of Celine's forthcoming album - tentatively titled Water and Flame.

Ne-Yo Teams With Celine Dion for Duet: 'It Definitely Made Me Question My Vocal Ability'

 

R&B songsmith Ne-Yo has announced that he's recently written and sung on a duet with Celine Dion for her forthcoming album.

The duo first worked together on 2007's Taking Chances, with Ne-Yo co-writing and co-producing "I Got Nothin' Left."

Describing the experience as "surreal" to Digital Spy, he said, "The first time I worked for her I wrote a song for her, which in itself was surreal… This time around I actually did a duet with her - it's her and me on one song, which was a challenge to say the least! I was trying to figure what I was even doing there - why would they need my voice when they have hers?"

He added, "She wanted to do the song as a duet and I was flattered, but it definitely made me question my vocal ability.

Tentatively titled "Water and Flame," Dion's album is expected for an October release and will be her first English album since Taking Chances. It will be her 25th studio album overall, and 10th in English.

it's about the only chance she'll have of getting Top 40 radio play. Strategically it should be the first single in the late summer with a super hot video and then in the fall she can release a solo single the week the album drops. Plus, the duet WILL get some attention. They can do Ryan Seacrest's show (Radio interview) and I'd love to see it performed on the American Music Awards in the fall.

I also hope this duet can become a single even without having heard it... just because of Ne-Yo status right now.

BUT it's not just up to Sony this time.

Ne-Yo's label (Motown I think) will also have to agree to have the song released as a single. (Some labels don't always agree to have their "hot" singer promoted with someone like Céline because of her "not so cool status" (I know it's crazy....).

 

Having the song on her album is one thing, but releasing it as a single is a different story. I keep thinking that's why Eyes on Me wasn't released as a single with Will.i.am. But let's hope it won't be a problem this time!!

it's also been reported that Ne-Yo is in negotiations to join Simon Cowell's X-Factor in the USA which coincidentally starts up again in Fall 2013.

The latest news or rumor something said the album would be out in October, but i myself strongly believe that we will have the whole thing in 2014. added to this, the third single of SA haven't been released yet. sony needs to promote SA more due to the unexpected success.

Something I just noticed that I find slightly irritating (and wrong) is that when these music sites and whatnot are reporting about this song they show a picture of Ne-Yo but not Celine I mean it's her song and going to be on her album. It is isn't a song she is doing for his album..
