c4n4d4 Posted March 26, 2013 at 02:26 AM Posted March 26, 2013 at 02:26 AM Who knows? He wrote a song for Mario called "Let Me Love You" in 2004, while Ne-Yo himself recorded an entirely different song by the same name in 2012 for his album R.E.D. The only difference the title had was that Ne-Yo's version was called "Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)". Many songwriters write different songs with (almost) identical titles. In my humble opinion, I doubt it's the same song. It's just not Celine.I wanted to like this to let you know I agree but I am out of likes haha 1 Quote http://24.media.tumblr.com/5fc8ed1dcd8690c2a8e2cad08629e4ba/tumblr_mrwbegFInv1rothmmo1_500.jpgJanuary 5, 2013 -- Las Vegas August 18, 2013 -- Las Vegas
divaslive98 Posted April 2, 2013 at 03:14 AM Posted April 2, 2013 at 03:14 AM I can definitely hear Celine singing this song ... it's a slow jam with a ton of room for ad-libbing, which is probably why Neyo felt so intimidated ... because Celine had already laid down a track and they wanted him to blend his vocals with hers during her adlibs ... which is always where Celine is the most intense and hard to replicate vocally ... hopefully, he was going up against an artist at the pinnacle of her talent ... meaning that he may be so impressed of his own performance that he'll promote the s*** out of it for his own reasons. In other words: an ideal scenario for this track re: charts 1 Quote

GoldenLeaf Posted April 2, 2013 at 07:18 PM Posted April 2, 2013 at 07:18 PM Why would he write two songs with the same name? I'm sure it's this song. Which means... another cover! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1L3QowSktQ and here's another version... released in 2005 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuFmQR1tTswI like this. I think this song would be even better with Celine's voice, One thing for sure : she would easily slay this song. Quote

What I meant was, I can imagine this track (if it is the original Neyo track) as a sort of "Forget Me Not" pt. 2 (with some lyrics alterations) ... I mean, what else would Celine be referring to when she sings "We can do the dizzle all night long?" besides staying up all night breastfeeding? It could be a cute concept. Quote

Popular Post BLM Posted April 13, 2013 at 03:27 AM Popular Post Posted April 13, 2013 at 03:27 AM http://thedrop.fm/ne-yo-celine-dion-studio-session/ Working with chart-toppers like Beyonce and Rihanna as well as newbies like ‘American Idol’ alum Jessica Sanchez and U.K. breakout Cher Lloyd, Ne-Yo would hardly be fazed by working with popular songstresses — unless it’s Celine Dion. Ne-Yo has been in the studio with the ‘My Heart Will Go On’ belter. However, it wasn’t penning songs for Dion that made him nervous. Instead, it was the fact that he got behind the mic to record a duet with the legendary pop singer. “I also did a duet with her, and it was the scariest session of my life,” he reveals to TheDrop.fm. “I went into the session knowing we were supposed to do a duet. And it’s Celine Dion! Celine Dion has one of the biggest and best voices in the music business period. I mean, my voice is OK. But in comparison to Celine Dion’s voice, it’s like a little Hot Wheels car versus a Lamborghini — not exactly on the same level. “So I was feeling very inadequate in my skill set during the session.” He continued to praise Dion’s talent by sharing a moment they had in the studio together. “One day in the studio, she’s alone in the vocal both and hitting notes and ad-libs and runs that I could never even dream to be possible of me,” he says. “She’s messing with her nails [belts series of high notes] like it’s the most incredible thing you’ve heard in your life, and she’s not even trying. So I’m like, ‘What the hell am I going to do? You know, I’m going to get the hell out of there.’ “But at the end of the day, the song came together really well.” 8 Quote
LukeD Posted April 13, 2013 at 04:42 AM Posted April 13, 2013 at 04:42 AM Releasing this duet as a single doesn't mean it's going to be successful. ''Angels Cry'' with Mariah really bombed on the charts. Quote

Kyle_Jared Posted April 14, 2013 at 01:10 AM Posted April 14, 2013 at 01:10 AM (edited) Ne-Yo's duet with Mariah was a song made into a duet from a track already on her album that had been out for some time; and the track itself was not killer. I think this duet could get at least some attention from Top 40 Radio----a solo Celine Dion single will not. No point in fighting that point. This is her only shot at mainstream radio play. Two singles should be released prior to the albums release (as that's common now) and Incredible, by all standards, should be one of them. Edited April 14, 2013 at 01:12 AM by Kyle_Jared 2 Quote

smw Posted April 15, 2013 at 03:55 PM Posted April 15, 2013 at 03:55 PM It's SO refreshing for another artist, and a prominent one in the industry, is invested in this project too! The producers can only do so much as far as promotion. And SONY --- well, we all know that they've not taken the strategies we hope they would. So to have a relevant artist like Ne-yo helping build album hype when Celine, Rene, the producers, and SONY won't...... THAT IS INVALUABLE! Thank God!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3 Quote

He's been stating that this new Celine track is one of the projects he's most proud of as an artist thus far... Correct me if I'm wrong, but he didn't say that about working with Mariah, did he? And "I Got Nothin' Left" hardly left me breathless. I despised the choice of changing Celine's voice. And, even in it's original key, it's not a stellar song. So my expectations are not out the roof, but.... Celine has a fantastic track record with duets. I like all of her duets. I think songs like "I'm Your Angel" are wonderful -- and they introduce Celine to an entirely different audience and give her more versatility credit. When Celine engages in a duet, she bumps up her game. It's like she gets challenged again and wants to impress -- which is exciting for all of us. Does anyone remember Unfinished songs lol? I do, remember, yes.... What's your point? Personally, my expectations for this song were low. It's not a song I want included on the English record. Maybe as a bonus track, but that's all. And Diane Warren is hardly a relevant artist in comparison to Ne-yo . Edited April 15, 2013 at 04:26 PM by smw Quote

And Diane Warren is hardly a relevant artist in comparison to Ne-yo. Celine is a great duet partner. Even better than Pitbull or Guetta. Unfinished songs is better than most of Celine's 90's songs even if it sounds like a song from 99-03. Lyrically its more versatile than any song from Celine Dion, Unison, TCOML, LTAL. I can proudly say that 99% of those albums have at least 15 words 'love'. I don't want another love song from Diane, we want songs like TTWII and OH. Celine took chances with lyrics here, but production ruins it. Don't blame Celine, blame the producers. And yes even with best production Celine would hardly make it so only way for Celine to come back is trough the help of a duet partner.Imagine Unfinished songs having dubstep, electro, synthpop in it! It would be a best Celine song ever. 2 Quote http://imageshack.us/a/img138/7804/5tq2.png
