At a worldwide release scale, yes. After that, there were just duets for selected markets, like A World To Believe In for Japan, for instance. isurrender Posted March 17, 2013 at 04:22 PM Posted March 17, 2013 at 04:22 PM What was the last single release for a duet from her album? I'm Your Angel? I can't remember... There was also "I believe in you" with Il Divo. At that time, Il Divo was very huge ( especially in the UK and in the Latin Countries) and Sony didn't do anything to promote the song (and Céline by doing so) in those countries. "One heart" had just (semi)flopped and it could have been the opportunity to stay in the spotlight. But Sony screw it up. As this duet with Neyo is likely the only song on the coming album to be played by pop radios , it won't be released. It might be a hit and Sony is scared of it. They can't take the chance to be played on radio stations! Quote
Popular Post smw Posted March 17, 2013 at 04:58 PM Popular Post Posted March 17, 2013 at 04:58 PM As I've said before -- this song really is the only opportunity for Celine to get played on mainstream radio again. And that's going to take some strategic planning. It's all because Ne-Yo is involved (and happily involved). He respects her, so that's going to be great for promotion as well. It won't just be Celine and her team pushing the album -- Ne-Yo, his team, and his fan base are now also involved. Personally, I could care less if any of her new songs are played on the radio BUT it would be great if this album starts the turn for Celine's English career. For people to see a different side to her. And for it to be socially acceptable to like Celine Dion again. 14 Quote

Ne-Yo has already started pushing the song. That's already the third time it mentions this collaboration (last time when asked what is the best song he worked on for another singer he said "the next Céline Dion's song"). This time around, Céline needs Neyo more than he does to get a hit. Can you remind me what she/her team has said yet about it or him? Nada. You're right it needs strategic planning and Neyo knows how to do to create a buzz and make fans impatient to hear it. That's should have been the other way around. 5 Quote

chrisannabanana Posted March 19, 2013 at 12:59 AM Posted March 19, 2013 at 12:59 AM (edited) I've recently read that Radio1 in UK didn't play Robbie William's single because they thought he was "too old and uncool" but it ended up going to #1. Radio airplay has really changed.. it's not about great artists or good music any more. With that being said, Ne-yo does produce some GREAT music! He does R&B extremely well! His duets with Rihanna are absolutely amazing... there must be some undeniable vocal range on Incredible since he said it made him question his vocal ability. If he didn't think that the song wouldn't be a single, I doubt he'd mention it as much as he has. If the song really is as great as the calibre of Rihanna's Hate that I Love You... it could very well get airplay! Edited March 19, 2013 at 01:00 AM by chrisannabanana Quote

Jeffieboi Posted March 21, 2013 at 01:00 AM Posted March 21, 2013 at 01:00 AM I'm actually hoping it sounds nothing like "I Got Nothin' Left". It was an obvious filler song. Celine definately sounded amazing, but it's not like that song would ever be a hit. I'm actually hoping to hear something like "Bust It Baby Part II" minus the rap. Quote
