Just because a song is the first single does not always mean it is the "best song of the album" Is LMBTL an amazing song? YES. However that doesn't mean that every other song on the album will be worse compared to it. And yes people can tell from a few seconds of a song whether or not they will probably like it, whether they do or don't is always subject to change upon hearing more of the song. In this clip you cannot hear much but you can tell that Celine is definitely going to be showing off her vocal power in it.

I love what I've heard so far from the clip! It's too early to say one way or the other as it's only 26 seconds. I can't wait to hear the entire song, though!! It does seem like it will be a mid-tempo r&b/pop type of song, which is cool. It's pretty modern. I think this entire album is going to be great! This was at the taping of Le Banquier, right?

The only way to capture Birdy is to feed him the Incredible LMBTL iron pellets. Paint them yellow, so he'll be seriously misled and think they are seeds. When he finishes, use a magnet, so you won't have to chase him no more!

Maybe I didn't expressed it properly, I didn't want to say that LMBTL is the best song on the album, but for sure is the one with more potential as a single, at least that is what they thought when they chose it as the lead single.

 

Same happened with Taking Chances, maybe the album has songs that I like more than TC, but it was the best possible lead single on that album.

 

Still I think is hard to know if you would like a song from a 20" clip, I thought Unfinished Song was great when I saw the movie commercial and then it wasnt so great after all...

^ That's the reason why I don't want to listen to that preview. If I listen to it and think it's awesome and then I listen to the song and I'm disappointed, it'll be worse for me. I want to get to listen to the whole song in high quality for the first time, to get the most of it and to get a better impression or make a better judgement.

Who knows? Music is so subjective and relative! I've heard some people say that possibly LMBTL would have been a huge hit at the beginning of the 00s, but that's something we can't put our money on, as it'll never be proven. LMBTL has all the ingredients to be a good hit, yet it's not becoming one- though it may still have luck in some markets, given the new radio support.

 

Let's hope if the second single has all the ingredients to it as well, that this time they put the correct amount in the mixer, and the oven is set to the right temperature, to put it metaphorically.
