Not much details except that they had recorded her almost every step of the way during the concert. Probably, we'll get something similar to SLP, which i wouldn't mind as the setlist was amazing, her vocals were on fire and the crowds' reaction outside the concert was superb. I just hope JProductions or whoever is doing the recording this time, doesn't overdub her or something. Anyway, we don't know anything about it as it is too early. We don't even know for sure if there will be a DVD. Just whispers going on around as of this moment.

I don't understand why boycotting someone who do no harm ? I mean her song or her image is something that every age could hear and see without censored.

I really have no idea what's in DJ's mind, that's really not cool at all. So after all they insist audience to listen whatever they want and the audience have no choice at all ? Radios is slowly killed by internet why they have to be so arrogant ? I really don't understand.

So sad that the DJs get to choose the music!! So it's now clear that all our requesting when LMBTL came out wasn't be star there wasn't enough requesting , it's because the DJs think she isn't cool enough or something! ??

Yet she has nearly sold a million copies of her album with no air play and can sell out concerts like no other! It given half the chance by the radios and some push with MVs etc by Sony the success story of this album could be massive!!

In the UK fans of rage against the machine 2 years ago got it ti #1 and this year Ac/Dc fans got Highway to Hell to #5 from nowhere. ...we are the fans...we have the power...who is game??

Exactly. And I believe it has been always that way, she had the potential hit material in each and every album, including her previous english works One Heart and Taking Chances, but its only that they just don't want it to happen. That or Sony doesn't want Céline to eclipse her younger quarry of artists, so they do whatever they can to make her albums and singles flop since 2003 (and Céline looks the other way of course )

 

We're seein it these days in front of our nose with Incredible: she does her thing in the biggest show in the US, repeats the performance the next day, and still Sony doesn't release the single, no videoclip, no remixes... nothing! They don't want this to happen guys.

You have to remember that IDAN peaked at 45 on the Hot 100 chart in the US...her last top 40 was ANDHC which peaked at 22. Taking Chances peaked at 54. If radio DJs weren't going to play Celine earlier in the decade, they certainly aren't going to play her now.

Sony DID send the song to radios. They even bought a radio deal with Clear Channel for a day in the US and with BBC Radio 2 in the UK (not sure about other countries) but you know what, after the deal was done, the radio DJs flatly refused to play her.

So tell me everyone, if the radios are refusing to play her songs, what makes you think it would be even worthwhile shooting a music video to an already flop and DOA single?

 

Since radios refuse to play her songs, then they should stop releasing singles. It is ''more releases = more flops'' at this point. However, if they eventuallu decide to release a single, then they should go all the way with it and make a lyric video, then a music video, release the song on I tunes with a banner and make a radio deal that lasts for a week, like Mariah did. I'm not expecting this to happen for all the singles of her album, but it could happen for ONE. One modest hit from each album is enough for Celine to sell many copies. I was actually just contemplating this today. I wonder if, the reason they keep releasing new singles, is so that the fans become obsessed with songs. (Which, so far, has worked - LMBTL and I have made the fans pretty hyped and excited for them) Then the fans have new songs to listen to in her concerts rather than the same old ones?

What you probably mean is that it is easier for Mariah to score hits in US than it is for Celine which is another thing. As far as album and ticket sales go, Celine has been outselling Mariah the past 18 years with the exception of 2005. Mariah has to deal with 'ageism' at this point too, every single since 'Obsessed' (We talk about more than 10 singles releases) is a flop and it was Miguel and a big radio radio deal that made '#Beautiful' successful. I know Miguel is a nobody, but he is a young act and radios would better support a Mariah duet with a young singer than a solo recording. That said, Celine can do the same with 'Incredible' since it's a duet with a current singer. She needs a radio deal for 1 week and a good music video. They didn't have to keep playing #Beautiful after the radio deal was expired. But they did even after it debuted on the Hot 100 at 24. It then went up and peaked at 15. It would have peaked even higher had they released the song a few days before. The song's digital downloads didn't count for the first week because it was released too late for the chart week. But regardless, Mariah definitely had a smarter way of keeping herself relevant for a long time. I've NEVER seen a musical comeback as big as Mariah's was in 2005, aside from Cher's in 1999.

We define words differently. To me a singer who can barely sell 2m copies of 2 albums worldwide and can't even sellout concerts in her native US is not relevant. For me album & ticket sales >>> single sales. Therefore, Mariah is not more relevant than Celine. She is just trying harder to have hit singles because A.) of her #1 syndrome and B.) she can't sell albums based on her name alone, (the last 13 years she has had 1 immensely successful album and 5 flop ones). I think you could make a difference and call or email your radio stations a lot or ask your friends to do it. I know it's hard but at least you try. I have been obsessed with charts since I was a kid and before Celine I loved Debbie Gibson. In 88 I was listening to the radio as they were playing the Billboard Top 10, and the DJ said Debbie's "Out Of The Blue" debuted but he wasn't gonna play it because he didn't like it. OMG I was furious, called the music director and they played it in another program.

 

It's more difficult now I know but you could try...

 

(Luke, Miguel is no nobody. "Adorn" was a multiformat, Grammy winning hit that put him in the map and suddenly everyone wanted to collaborate with him, including Mariah.)

Even if the radios in the US boycott Céline, it would still be a smart move from Sony to have a music video of the new single performed on The Voice. The younger crowd would most likely look for the video imo... even if Céline's videos aren't that popular.
