yeah i agree w/ u, where is this so called "special event" that the video for "incredible" is supposed to be attached to that was supposed to be released a month ago???? anybody???? bueller???? lol hahahaha... :)

 

 

now its been close to 3 months since that video was filmed & still nothing but crickets chirping & cobwebs around here lol... im starting to doubt if the special event thing that this video is going to be tied to is even real, or if its just another online rumor just like the whole olympics episode which we know turned out to be a complete lie... where the hell is sony???? & i know that celine & her family are on vacation @ disney world right now so this has absolutely nothing to do w/ her or rene, this has to do w/ sony or whoever thats holding the video captive @ the moment lol, instead of releasing the darn thing while the song is still in the billboard charts right now, which probably wont be lasting too much longer really... & the video should still be released w/out celine & rene being around because it has already been filmed & edited!!!! & how much time does it take & money does it cost to upload a video on youtube, since there are thousands of average joes all over the world who upload videos on youtube every day lol!!!!

I think there´s something very strange about this album. Very poor promotion, no musicvideo...Maybe one day Rene will talk about this (if asked). Celine could have sold around 2million copies with that album, and mainly have got more visibility. For the first time my friends (who only listen to Gaga, Perry, D. Guetta...) got the song LMBTF on their phones. Why didn´t they release the Incredible musicvideo? because of Rene´s health? no way! Back in 1999, she did a lot of things.

The only explanation I see is that Sony made a short investiment to get high profits.

I'm curious what event they're waiting for? Maybe an announcement they're re-doing the Vegas show and the video promotes that. My understanding from what I've read various places is that there will be changes mid-year, which should be with the summer run.

This is a good point, but let's try to look at it from a business perspective. Celine's brand had been out of commission for several years prior to the release of this album, during a period of rapid change and transformation in the music industry. 2007 might as well be 1987 considering how much has changed in the past 7 years (Spotify, smartphones, further decline of CD sales, etc). Rene might not have been able to get the kind of promotional budget he's grown accustomed to because of a lack of certainty on the part of Sony as to whether or not Celine still has the profit potential she'd enjoyed in the past. By cutting back on extraneous promotion and hoping for the best, Sony may have allowed Celine to demonstrate she still has a high ROI even without a huge promotional campaign / major airplay success. Hopefully, the limited success of this experiment will demonstrate to Sony that Celine's brand has remained intact, even without the type of support her releases have had in the past. In other words, LMBTL can be considered an experiment that lays the groundwork for a more targeted promotional campaign for her next album.

I agree. The album had and still has potential to be a hit. The general public simple don't now Celine release a new great English album. I never heard "Loved Me Back To Life" on Portuguese radios and the only two times I've listened to it on tv (promoting a Brasilian soap opera and The Voice Portugal), I believe that only die hard fans recognised Celine's voice in it.

 

Sony Music and Celine's Team should not only release the music video for "Incredible" (fast!) but film videos for "Water and a Flame" (critically acclaimed) and even to "Loved Me Back To Life" (imagine a Summer re-release of the single with a remix as bonus track and a video filmed on a beach or a disco?).

 

For the first time since Falling Into You and Let's Talk About Love I think that Sony Music choose the best singles, so why the simply don't promote it.

Water and a Flame.

I understand your point of view, but it has more to do with Sony than Celine. We all know that since Las Vegas, the goal is not the albums anymore but the shows. Just 2 musicvideos would do a lot to the album! I´m still a diehard fan but I get tired and sad because since One heart, we see a lot of wasted singles.

6 years is too much time (though I know a lot of things happened in her life). Now let´s hope that in within 3 years, she releases a new one.

With the video they could go a re-release and/or more promotion of the album. There have been many albums that have done better have they have been released for awhile I don't think we should give up hope. The Incredible music video might help.
