DionFanAlways Posted April 28, 2014 at 10:13 AM Posted April 28, 2014 at 10:13 AM I don't mean to be rude, I'm just being honest. I'm not talking about whether or not people agree or disagree. I'm talking about facts. The fact that radio doesn't support her even after a radio deal was paid for on the AC format. If her primary format is barely going to support her, why should the record label waste more money trying to get her played on a format where she hasn't been supported for years. Taking Chances in 2007 barely stood a chance and Z100 dropped it rather quickly. IDAN didn't even crack the top 40 in 2003. Her days in the mainstream of pop music are done. Yes, artists have resurges at times. Barbra Streisand's last album debuted at number 1, but you sure as hell will never hear her played on top 40 radio. Cher had her highest Billboard 200 debut in her entire career with her current album, she won't be played on top 40 either. It was like pulling teeth in 1999 to have top 40 stations to start playing "Believe" and that was when the divas were still riding high. "Incredible" has spent a few weeks in the AC top 30, that's a moderate hit for today's standards. Sad, but true. I'm not arguing my opinion here, just stating facts. Believing in a song or an album to do well based on content is an opinion. Looking at Celine's career over the past 10 years, it's clear that she is not mainstream material anymore when you compare her to what kind of music is and has been in demand. I agree that LMBTL could have been bigger had Sony gone over the top with promotion like they did in the 90s. Even though Celine's priorities are different, I still believe she cares and will do whatever Sony sets up for her to do when it comes to promotion. It boils down to the fact that Sony is a business and with time, their priorities have changed as well. As they do with every generation of new artists. They have to promote the singers who are hot and bringing the money in right now. While Celine may still have a huge fan base, she's no longer the face of Sony's most popular artists. The business has changed, people's tastes have evolved. I say evolved because saying that taste has changed would infer that fans no longer have interest in Celine, which I don't believe to be true. I totally understand wanting your favorite artist to do well, but a few people here seem to block out the fact that she has already done well, and now she's doimg well in other personal and career ventures. I don't understand why, with all the facts presented to us people can't just step back and enjoy what Celine is still giving us. Celine doesn't seem to care much about keeping up with the younger singers, why do we? Us causing an uproar about it is just as bad and seemingly desperate as Madonna latching onto the strings of Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus' careers in order to gain some relevance rather than graciously accept the status of a legend and continue making music just because she loves to. *Sorry for the lengthy post, I normally try to keep mine contained.*Yeah you almost lost me there Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

Game filmed a video for "It Must Be Me", but its release was cancelled. There have been quite a few shelved/cancelled music videos, but most end up leaking on YouTube. Edit: According to Wikipedia, Prince has over 50 unreleased music videos. If yes, then I'll lose faith, cause I still believe we'll somehow get the video. the Original version of IWYTNM wasn't released.... GTSW also had many shots that were not officially released... I guess they know what they are doing, but seriously I am over this song and the excitement. Sony killed LMBTL for me. It has so many great songs, the promotion seemed so promising in the start of it all: live performances of LMBTL, SLS, WAAF, IDKL, Incredible and a lipped one for Breakaway... but now 6 months later it's like this album never excisted! No official video, singles that went no where and no promotion during Valentine's Day or Mother's day... Sans Attendre got more attention than her first English album in 7 years! I don't want to downtalk her French career but F%CK her English career is like 75% of her total sales! With a much bigger audience worldwide... I really don't get why LMBTL got treated so poorly 10 Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

With TC they weren't necessarily expecting the edgy rock songs but decided to record them and promoted the album as 'a new sound for Celine', yet somehow they ended up keeping a folk song, RNTTRO!! And with LMBTL, they spent soo long working with the WAAF concept of half new, half old, but even after that idea was scrapped they still kept A17 and Overjoyed, which are two of the weakest songs on the album and completely ruin the continuity of the album as a whole. This is nothing new of course, LTAL is a very good example of an album without a clear direction, resulting in a complete mash-up of genres and styles. But there are plenty of albums such as CD, TCOML and ANDHC that flow beautifully in my opinion. 2 Quote

Poor Luke... and isn't it fantastic that he has devoted friends that support him in his cause I tried various times to finish this stupid discussion because I do not like wasting my precious time with people like him or... you ^^ I also made more than enough comments concerning "Incredible". It's not only my fault that the atmosphere seems so be a bit "tensed" right now. It's just so ridiculous that even people like Gary Barlow have videos that support his singles. But Celine who is such a huge artist, does not bother to release one... Xpresso Posted April 28, 2014 at 10:46 PM Posted April 28, 2014 at 10:46 PM Did you just say "Céline doesn't bother to release one"??? What!!??? The fact that she went to the filming of the music video means that she DID bother enough for this video to see the day... If it's not released, the last person we need to blame is Céline herself!!! René was recovering from his surgery at the time and Céline went to LA for this video... If she didn't care she would NOT have gone to LA in the first place... 3 Quote
