so much time just for this? this is clearly a cheap music video made is less than a day.

We were able to make them drop the first dvd of a new day but we are unable to make them choose the right single or spend some money for the music video

I think we should all be grateful! Like it or not, we were all expecting something a lot worse than this..

 

This is Céline's most engaging video in years... maybe in the whole decade.

 

And plus, it's generating some buzz over the net, which the previous 2 didn't. People are actually tweeting a lot about this video!

I've watched it a few times now and it is a very stylish and cool video.

Somehow I also like the song much better now (because of the video) than when I listened to it on the album.

And I do think that the song sounds contemporary and has some hit qualities.

Out of three video clips released from "Sans Attendre", QPVSA video is definitely the best one. It was a great idea to go for those two dancers, they gave the video clip some sense of movement and intensity.

Hi All, I woke up this morning to countless emails about Celine’s New Video, And was told to watch it.

 

As you know I don’t often go on the Forum, as I get bad press..LOL

I have been told to take a look. I was pretty honoured and horrified at the same time

to see the video qui peut vivre sans amour by celine. I was FLATTERED, but a bit put out at the same time

 

I would like the members of the forum to know that I did contact Thierry Vergnes personally a while back,

gave him the link to my videos, and asked him if I could be involved in the music video productions

if and when he decided to make it. I sent him links to all my films, the music video aswell.

One of the links I sent was for my Short Film FEAR OF HUE, where I light a match – very much

like at the beginning of Celine’s New Video.

I gave him heaps of ideas. Regretfully I received NO reply just a message of notification that it was received.

Well what can I say, I love Celine and any new footage of her is great, I just wish he had discussed some of this with me,

maybe asked to use my ideas – I don’t know, something like that? The exotic dancers in the desert, the dresses, Slow-motion,

and camera angles, are all very similar.

There is a word for this kind of action – plagiarism. Nevertheless - I am honored to see my ideas were used – and that

is what counts. The Music Video Is very well made, and so edgy. Glad to have in a subliminal way to have “Inspired it”

 

The Similarities between my Qui Peut Vivre Sans Amour video, and The Official On is uncanny.

I loved all of Thierry’s music videos - especially Parler a Mon Pere. But the new one,

is my new favourite – for obvious reasons.

Maybe because she doesn't want to, or maybe because her team decided that "playing Celine" is much more rewarding. And maybe it is... she's become some sort of divalicious figure.

 

Just look at Cher, she doesn't act in her music videos since who knows when? And she's an Academy Award winning actress. But have a look at her video for "Believe"... #1 song

I don't thin they used your ideas for the music video no offense. The music video is slightly similar yes, but its also similar to Pink's "Try." They didn't steal your ideas, because these ideas have been around and used in many other music videos. Any coincidences between your stuff and the "QPVSA?" official music video is probably pure coincidence. The official music is still very similar to the other two videos from this album and stays with the director's style and obviously his "vision" of how he wanted to do these music videos.

It's obvious they don't want her to act in her music videos. To me, she's like the queen of ''playing it safe'' now. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I believe it would be better for her to be part of the action, show different aspects of her personality and maybe be less of a ''Diva''. Her fans would surely enjoy that and maybe no-fans would think it's cool of her.

The new video is okay... Not awesome, but definitely not bad. Actually I expected it would be something like this. I think it lacks of originality and creativity. Still there's some good energy in it. It's good that they decided to keep the original album track.

She's got the looks, she's got the moves, she's got the attitude! This time Thierry made her look fierce!

 

And the dancers are perfect! At least we've got a real set, costume changes, real fire!!

 

I also love that we had the album version. Everything is perfect!

A few of you are saying the music video looks cheap, well what would make a music video not seem cheap? Its a music video, not a blockbuster film. There isn't gonna be tons of special effects and huge, extensive sets; what their is going to be is the singer, the song, and visuals that can go along well with the theme of the song. And the "Qui peut vivre sans amour?" music video has all that.

You're right! When I say ''acting'' I mean that I expect to watch a video clip with a plot where she is the protagonist, not the narrator.

I don't like the dancers in it, we have seen this type of thing before in "A New Day concert" and the Taking chances tour....Im actually kind of sick of seeing those dancers jumping around, Its obviously very beautiful dancing but we have seen this idea on stage already +++ , And What the hell was with those angry dancers in the desert, what were they so angry about anyway!!!??? It reminded me of an Elton John video (an angry couple dancing naked around their house) I would much prefer the whole video to be of Celine like if she acted like in her old videos "FALLING INTO YOU" or PQTMQ or THINK TWICE. (BIG HITS)This video was grand , but I just wish it was Celine dancing not those strangers with their legs wrapped around each other flying around the place for reasons we do not know!!!!! I loved the video is simple, modern, cool, I do not know 'cause you guys criticize so at least your clips are not alike as Mariah,' cause lately your videos are so dull, that Celine is strong, simple and very artistic, the dancers resemble Try Clip Pink.
