The song has a 90s vibe and most fans will like it, however its a little bland. We've heard this type of song from Celine before. It sounds like it could have been frm ANDHC. The beat is not better, it's the same but in Jessie's there are 2 layers which might sound like the song has a better production. Whow! The chorus have both the same melody and Jessie tries to be "cooler" with her "crazy, crazy, crazy". That's in fact ONE (cheap) song, not two. Diane changed some minor loops here and there and speeded it up a bit for Jessie. They have the same dated and sole basic(s). But at the end of the day, Celine's song is better because of her voice. Jessie's timbre is quite blend and interchangeable with any other karaoke female singer. I actually think Jessie J. is quite talented. The girl can break it DOWN live. And her acoustic renditions of her songs are stunning. She's quite young, and pretty amazing. I like her a lot. If you try to play the album and the movie versions at the same time, you'll see that the movie version of BYLM and TYLAM are lowered (just a little less than 1 semitone, so that's not so much I agree). To me, it's just like it deepens a little her voice. We can't even compare them, because to start with, Almost Home is having a massive promotion, whereas Unfinished Songs... ermmm... can we even mention the word "promotion" with it? The promotion does not even exist here, there's NO promotion at all... And only because Almost Home is having promotion (and huge support by a movie company and a record label ehem!), it doesn't matter if Céline's song is better or worse than Mariah's... Mariah is just wiping out everything because she has promotion, and Céline has 0. Simple as that. 3 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
