"Unfinished Songs" - Theme song from the movie "Song for Marion"

The lovers of the One Heart album/type of songs: that's where her fan base is very split.

We've all found ourselves to Celine is very different ways. And I can certainly respect that. But... to say that 21, which one Album Of The Year as Falling Into You did, is better than One Heart -- a collection of songs Celine herself doesn't recognize as an actual album but rather "a gift to her fans" and is comprised of left over/reject songs from All The Way… and A New Day Has Come recording sessions -- along with a couple of new songs including I Drove All Night, which was hardly a critical or commercial success or gave Celine any sort of additional clout in the music industry.

If One Heart is thought of as a "gift to her fans" and not an actual album, then thanks sooo much for the "gift", and pleeeze give us more albums of the left over/reject songs. Would be so nice to have something different, than what we have had the last 12 years or so. Sorry, i just also love the easy, happy, light hearted songs Celine sings as well. Am of course still looking forward very much to the new album. I am not knocking anyone down with what i'm saying, just saying what i'm thinking and feeling at the moment. Take care everyone.

Yes I agree. Barbra recently released an album of songs called "Release Me." It included 11 tracks that didn't make the final cut for her previous albums. Would be nice to get a release like that from Céline with songs like:

Seulement qu'une aventure (from the "Incognito" special)

I Have to Dream (never officially released from "Children on their Birthdays")

Oxygene (live from the "A l'Olympia" concert which was cut from the CD)

English version of "L'amour existe encore" which was recorded for "A New Day Has Come"

Run Like A River (recorded for ATW)

Love Is Alive (recorded for ANDHC)

and anything leftover from the "D'eux," "S'il suffisait d'aimer," "1 fille & 4 types," "D'elles" or "Sans attendre" sessions!

Good song, catchy beat but not that great overall. Maybe I'll like it more after hearing a better quality version.

Exactly, there you go. Celine must have a tremendous amount os songs left over. Why not put them on CD? They can make more money :giggle: I'm sure the fans would love it.

I just have an M-AUDIO USB micro and Ableton Live 8. Nothing really extraordinary

Just because an album is made up of songs from other albums' recording sessions does not mean that it was not a good album or good songs. In fact, I feel that the Celine clearly enjoyed how these "reject" songs turned out enough to release them. Yes to some of you that may not be ideal or you may disagree but clearly Sony and her team, and her though these songs had enough merit and potential to be on an album. OH was a extension of ANDHC I believe and you cannot compare its success or failures to FIY or any other album simply because you need to recognize what was going on in the music industry at the time and the promotion it received, which was close to none

Agree. To me, the only failure of the One Heart album (besides its poor promotion of course) is that it wasn't created and promoted as the second part of A New Day Has Come. It could have been the so called "special edition" of ANDHC that we have, but released in 2003 with a bonus disc including and promoting all those new songs. And maybe with a different cover, more appealing than the actual one. I'm sure it would have been more successful than the OH album we know today, if it had been promoted like the follow up of ANDHC

Also, if Céline says this album was released as a "gift to the fans", not a real album, woah! okay!! :w00t: Please give us many more of these gifts! Because if when they put together some leftovers from past albums and rejected songs, this is the result we have, I can't wait for more. I wish Taking Chances was close to One Heart, and thank God they released this album because it comes to fill an empty space in her discography, so badly needed (uptempo songs)! ^_^

You forget the spanish version of HYEBIL, "¿Sabes Cómo Es El Amor?" and "Make Love To Me" and "Love Must Be You", also from the ANDHC sessions ^_^

Sad indeed. It's a good song, it shouldn't be swept under the rug! Ok It's not as good as I'm alive or other her upbeat hits, but it Catchy! Something to remind the English speaking audience that Celine is still here!

I just listened to the song. The lyrics are good, the music - not so much. I mean, I really expected just a little more from both Diane and Celine. It sounds cute but kind of...childish. I think it would be good for some young pop singer. Not that I dislike the song but I just think these lyrics deserve better music.

I happen to really like this song a lot and I can't wait to hear it in higher quality. I am going through a lot of things in my life right now and this song is perfect for my situation. Not every song has to have extremely deep lyrics to be good. According to some of you, if Diane had used synonymous words to make it sound deeper, it would be better. But why does it need that? It's a simple, and very straight forward song about uplifting yourself and realizing your full potential as a human. I think that's a message that's powerful enough.

As for the "One Heart" album, I love it. And I have been listening to Celine since I was 4 (almost 23 years) since "Unison" was released. It's a great addition to her catalog. It's light, it's fresh, and it's fun. I actually a lot of times crave a good listen for this CD. I think it's great. It's definitely not something I overlook as a "bad album" because it's far from that.

That song sounds like a filler or a bside to me. It's cheap, surpriseless and dated.

It's alright if it stays where it belongs to : hidden in the credits of an unknown movie and in the depths of the english album.

It's like they thought : "Oh, a song from Warren, let's take it" (and that woman really thinks she can get an Oscar for that song? I mean... really? ). I really can't believe that's one of the best songs Celine's team gets from writers.

I don't think that song will be released as a single ( beside the fact it's not strong enough, especially for a lead single, after 6 years of wait. Except if it's a joke). They simply CAN'T publish on the webiste " Ok guys from the UK, what do you think of Celine's new song ( if you want to hear, just go to the movies)". That's what they did. Marketing-wise , a ww superstar can't get that treatment. To drop Celine's comeback single like this is just unthinkable. What a buzzzzz!!!!

They need something more consistant.

It's on the previous page! Just an M-AUDIO USB microphone and Ableton Live 8. Pretty easy and affordable!

Unfinished Songs keeps growing on me.

I wish Sony would at least post a HQ version even if the song isn't officially released as a single.

It would at least slowly promote the new album... That song HAS to be on the new album.
