dj4celine Posted October 27, 2013 at 10:34 AM Posted October 27, 2013 at 10:34 AM This is how an interview should be. Amazing questions and she answers most of them very eloquently. Like someone else said, I'd have loved to see her answer the hard questions and see what her body language was while answering them. i'm sorry for my past. for everything i have done so far here. hope you can forgive me. once again, i'm sorry. but some information i shared here is real, actually. somebody loves somebody is smart lovers. i'm strawberry chocolate cheese and nut boy. Please try not to create unnecessary commotion. Other than that, welcome back! Interesting interview, important notion:Besides: who's gonna debunk the gay remark? What did she actually mean with that? That was in regards to the question about Quebec's new charter. I don't want to get into that as it is somewhat controversial. But what she meant was, in certain religions, it is considered rude for a male person (doctor in this case) to treat a woman and vice versa. But Celine says that people shouldn't be bothered cos in the end, the person is being helped regardless of who is helping them. And if a gay person came to treat her, she wouldn't be bothered just cos the person is gay. It was just an example but I love that she spoke for the gays 3
Modesta Posted October 27, 2013 at 10:35 AM Posted October 27, 2013 at 10:35 AM Besides: who's gonna debunk the gay remark? What did she actually mean with that? That caught my eye too! I think she meant that gender, sexuality, religion should not be an issue to anyone, she just phrased it badly...
celine_boyfriend Posted October 27, 2013 at 10:45 AM Posted October 27, 2013 at 10:45 AM Excuse me, but I just about sh;t myself now. The radio is on as always, and there I hear, now I hear this voice saying: "Hello South Africa, this is Celine Dion, with Loved me back to Life from my new album coming out soon". Then the song played. She actually spoke. I did not expect that. Sharon Serendipity!!!!!!!!!:-P Celestial Goddess of Music

Javito Posted October 27, 2013 at 11:23 AM Posted October 27, 2013 at 11:23 AM (edited) OMG, now that's an interview!!! How many great questions and how many interesting MUSIC answers we got. You see? When the journalist is interested in her career (and not just her private life), they ask! 1) The Phil Spector sessions: I can't believe we got to see from the horses mouth about this, 17 years later. Is great to know that Céline is aware of those songs still, and that she admits the songs exist! 2) The duet with Whitney Houston: I can't believe what's she's saying. I mean I love that she loved the idea of recording a duet with her, but how come she says that Whitney was her idol and she didn't fight for that duet to happen in 30 years of career? When you love and admire someone so much, you do the impossible for that to happen (and especially when you have the powers to do so in the industry) There are no excuses here, Céline 3) The thing that excites me the most: ANNIE LENNOX here! And its not the first time Céline and Annie tak of each other. If there's another artist that I admire, love and respect in the same level as Céline, that's Annie! Please how can we make Annie aware of Céline's words??? I hope this wish doesn't end in the same list as with Whitney, which was just whisful thinking! Great interview, with good question. She talked about the songs she have recorded with Spectors! Q: Phil Spector once told Entertainment Weekly that he owned many of the recordings he did with you during your sessions. He said he was going to release them one day.A: It’s true. He does have the songs. He bought them. He owns them. I would prefer to [re-sing] them the way they should be sung because they were [recorded] in a very difficult environment. I don’t think the recordings as they are right now do justice to the songs, my voice, his work or the musicians who were there the night we recorded them. It was a hard session. I can’t believe you brought that up. I feel like I’m 105 years old because it feels so long ago.Yes, Phil Spector - once a genius producer who turned insane and is currently in jail for murder. Apparently the recording sessions were extremely uncomfortable and he didn't even want Rene in the room. Céline left the studio in the middle of the session because it was so bizarre. Now that would be some behind the scenes worth to be watched I wonder if this moment was recorded Edited October 27, 2013 at 11:24 AM by Javito 7 "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

I think she meant that gender, sexuality, religion should not be an issue to anyone, she just phrased it badly... Sure, however, on a certain level, saying out of nowhere you don't mind people 'being' gay, you actually mean the opposite. Like some relatives after my coming-out (surely people can relate to this situation) saying out of nothing, sometimes years after, over and over again: 'we don't mind you are being gay, we have no problems with that'. However, if you are so ok with it, if it's so 'normative', don't even mention it.Than it should be beyond mentioning.. like you don't mention your own son is straight, and you are 'so ok' with that too.
Del Posted October 27, 2013 at 11:39 AM Posted October 27, 2013 at 11:39 AM interview with McClean , Canadian revue http://www2.macleans...er-of-values-2/Thanks for sharing. An interesting interview for sure. Nice to see some of the questions asked. Didn't overly surprise me that the question of the proposed changes to the Quebec Charter of rights was asked. It's been such a controversial topic for the last little while. 1 Instagram: @delphis78
Celineforeveranangel Posted October 27, 2013 at 11:52 AM Posted October 27, 2013 at 11:52 AM Also this: The people who come to see me, they love me beyond my songs and don’t want me to fail. When I make a mistake on stage, they are like “Oh my God, are you okay?”—they are always on my side and they care for me. When I lost my dad and I cried on stage and told them, “I’m not going to give you guys a good show”—they never said I did a bad job. With some of the negativity we sometimes see here -- let's all try to remember that this is what Celine thinks of us - and try to live up to it! Love this!!!! 3 http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr140/Celineforeveranangel/6673.jpgI love Celine!!!!!!!!!!
Javito Posted October 27, 2013 at 12:12 PM Posted October 27, 2013 at 12:12 PM (edited) I can’t record or again and again. I’m not Britney Spears but I do need to freshen up my sound—which I think we’ve done. Best line in years since she started the marathonian repetitive concerts in Las Vegas! At least she is NOW aware of the compulsory need to make a change in this aspect I really hope her future albums have this thought in her mind every moment of the process. But I think we should give a little lease to Celine here considering she can sometimes say something else while meaning a completely different thing. I would attribute that to language barrier. celine4evauk Posted October 27, 2013 at 12:56 PM Posted October 27, 2013 at 12:56 PM Its great she remembers the Spector songs, and maybe it would be better if she rerecorded them. Does he own the songs or just those recordings?? If the latter - then what are they waiting for?????? Whitney duet - i'd have loved that. Early Whitney i loved. Maybe it didn't happen cos Whitney didn't want to record with Celine?? Who knows. I remember the Sing project, and how disappointed i was when Celine was hardly on the song.

I feel like a 105 years old!! CLASSIC! 2) Maybe because Whitney was signed to Arista (albeit a label under Sony) it would have been more difficult to arrange a duet... plus they never shared the same genre... Barbra and Celine was a done deal, cos they were both at Sony's and simular. Plus Celine's been mentioning Barbra since for ever, unlike Whitney... 3) Maybe fans can Twitter this to Annie? Isn't she quite active on social media?! Maybe we need to get this ball rolling Best interview in years!! I really enjoyed that!! Mariah Carey was also on Sony Music like Céline, and she did a duet with Whitney in 1998 ("When You Believe", very successful btw) and they promoted the heck out of it... That's no excuse sorry 3) Maybe fans can Twitter this to Annie? Isn't she quite active on social media?! It'd be great to see for example why she doesn't sing songs from 1f&4t, D'elles etc. Interviewers should come up with such questions that won't look the same like 10 years ago. mairtin Posted October 27, 2013 at 01:43 PM Posted October 27, 2013 at 01:43 PM What a great interview. I think the Phil Spector recordings are gold dust and will be released one day with Céline's voice at its purest. Whitney duet, it was never on the cards so I don't believe anything to the contrary. I wished it had happened all the same. I'd have preferred a Céline duet with Donna Summer though. It's not too late to duet with Mariah. Céline is totally gay friendly and knows her fan base. Check out the message to Boston pride this year and of course the lyrics and video for Ziggy. Imagine if one or more of her sons were gay! He should be her manager. Imagine! 1

infiniti Posted October 27, 2013 at 02:13 PM Posted October 27, 2013 at 02:13 PM Interesting interview, important notion:She's explicitly unsatisfied with the Spector recordings. Perhaps we should not expect too much of it (though I'm more curious than ever). I'm not really sure about the Callas movie, since she might turn out to be too old if she'd wait too long. I hate that the Whitney duet never happened. Besides: who's gonna debunk the gay remark? What did she actually mean with that? I do not believe she will turn out to be old for Callas movie if she waits, and by wait we are talking after 2019 Vegas is over. By then she will around 50 or so, I think it is perfect time to make the movie. She still looks young and with her natural age and look she can portray Callas very well. I think movie should be concentrated on era when Callas was in her late 30s and in 40s and last years, her struggles through career and break up with O. and her last tour. ONE THING I hope they will make a good movie out it and not short, cut, changed, cheesy production. ..oh God, cannot wait to see Celine playing Callas...wow! 1 Celine ~
Prima_Donna1 Posted October 27, 2013 at 02:13 PM Posted October 27, 2013 at 02:13 PM That was a great interview. Thanks for sharing. I loved it. I like when she talks about things other than her family because it shows that she can be taken seriously. I liked when they asked her about the Whitney duet and how she said it never happen she saw something on YouTube. I love her insight on the industry today. Very wise words, and I like that she talks about her political stance on things but I don't blame her for not having an opinion. Great interview overall. 3 Apprends-Moi tes Secrets...http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/yy180/miss_daly2881/post-1110-0-56076900-1358706235_thumb.jpg
