Don't worry about that, she'll be ok, I mean she will sing 3 songs on the 28th and then she can do the "no talk" until the show starts on the night of the 29th. I wouldn't worry about her voice being affected during the soundcheck.

 

 

 

But, sadly, she doesn't do "no talk" anymore. That's my point. We'll just have to wait and see.

When you gain a level of trust from celine 's entourage that allow you to give some exclusive info or work on special events to please the fans (better seats than team celine, sound check, movie première, early previews... Etc) , there' s always a darker side of the coin when you need to withold some information because it would ruin the partnership they created over the years. They share as much as they are ALLOWED to. Of course some of the red heads know more than others... But that 's because they are not just following a Facebook page but also working their #ss for free in the shadow to create those events and offer those exclusive info.

 

I get what he's saying and I agree with him. I think for the most part they are great, but sometimes they will announce they have exclusive information and then announce they can't / won't share it. What's the point of announcing they have access to something we all want, but then refusing to share? That behavior does come across as elitist in my book.

How come The Red Heads don't ever come on here and share? Seems a bit elitist....

It's because the red heads were banned from this Forum some time ago but I don't know why

How can they all be banned here? How do you know who is a Red Head? When I was one too (I'm not) but nobody here on the forum could know and ban me?

I think these Celine fan wars are silly. The Red Heads are a great source of info and community and I appreciate them just as much as I appreciate CDF. Why the hate?

Ok this topic is about the album so this will be my last explanation message.

The red heads started as a small group that grew bigger. They were on this forum before but were eventually banned as the group grew.

Everyone can be a red head... Red head is just a name of the people of the group ( basically celine fans) , as they wear red caps when they gather for celine events. When you participate to a Céline event organized by the red heads you instantly become a member of the red heads family. For more information you can go on their website or Facebook page. This topic is not the place to talk about it.

Ouch. Actually, I've been pretty active in Celine's online community since the big bang (back in the days of celine-dion.net and celineonline.com).

 

Haha, I remember celineonline.com. I always wondered who had "celinedion.com," and how Sony got it back. Anyone remember the alt.music.celine-dion newsgroup? I never posted there, but used to check it to get all the news. There was also this fabulous website that I think was called The Power of Celine Dion. It had TONS of articles about Celine from various newspapers/magazines posted there, and also a chart of all of Celine's brothers and sisters. I remember, in my last year of high school, ca. 1998, I didn't have access to the Internet at home, but my school did, and I would occassionally spend my lunch period in the school library reading all the Celine articles on that webpage . . . (I really wasn't antisocial; just really loved Celine!!)

 

Sorry, don't know anything about the Red Heads controversy, and this has nothing to do with the New English album, but I had to reminisce for minute!

It's not that he bought them, it's because he produced them and he owns them. During the sessions, he had disagreements with Celine's team and ran out with the tapes. I doubt we'll ever see them released though. :down:

Yes, Phil Spector - once a genius producer who turned insane and is currently in jail for murder. Apparently the recording sessions were extremely uncomfortable and he didn't even want Rene in the room. Céline left the studio in the middle of the session because it was so bizarre.

I thought this question was espectially interesting:

Q: Speaking of Whitney Houston, in 2008, it was reported that you were scheduled to record a duet with her. Did it ever happen?

A: No. But I was on YouTube and someone posted a video montage that used both of our voices. I actually took a minute and thought to myself, “Have I been in the industry so long that I forgot about singing a duet with Whitney?” I actually felt bad because I grew up listening to her. She was my idol.

 

Somehow, I never imagined Celine waching videos of herself on YouTube! I wonder what else she has seen - fan videos, montages, bootlegs, old interviews? And when she signs in, does YouTube suggest Celine videos for her? :giggle:
