Popular Post chocolatechip15 Posted October 27, 2013 at 03:03 AM Popular Post Posted October 27, 2013 at 03:03 AM Also this: The people who come to see me, they love me beyond my songs and don’t want me to fail. When I make a mistake on stage, they are like “Oh my God, are you okay?”—they are always on my side and they care for me. When I lost my dad and I cried on stage and told them, “I’m not going to give you guys a good show”—they never said I did a bad job. With some of the negativity we sometimes see here -- let's all try to remember that this is what Celine thinks of us - and try to live up to it! 11
luciusbright Posted October 27, 2013 at 03:03 AM Posted October 27, 2013 at 03:03 AM Q: Speaking of Whitney Houston, in 2008, it was reported that you were scheduled to record a duet with her. Did it ever happen?A: No. But I was on YouTube and someone posted a video montage that used both of our voices. I actually took a minute and thought to myself, “Have I been in the industry so long that I forgot about singing a duet with Whitney?” I actually felt bad because I grew up listening to her. littleames Posted October 27, 2013 at 03:06 AM Posted October 27, 2013 at 03:06 AM (edited) Yes, Phil Spector - once a genius producer who turned insane and is currently in jail for murder. Apparently the recording sessions were extremely uncomfortable and he didn't even want Rene in the room. Céline left the studio in the middle of the session because it was so bizarre.Wow I didn't know he made Rene leave the room. How awkward..who knows what was going through his mind.http://www.hdwallpapersinn.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/phil-spector-head.jpgI remember when his trial was on tv. I was just like "what is that?" Edited October 27, 2013 at 03:06 AM by littleames 3
Your_Su_Phu Posted October 27, 2013 at 03:12 AM Posted October 27, 2013 at 03:12 AM Wow, this is a GREAT intereview!! Thanks for sharing!! Different questions; honest answers! I thought this question was espectially interesting:Q: Speaking of Whitney Houston, in 2008, it was reported that you were scheduled to record a duet with her. Did it ever happen?A: No. But I was on YouTube and someone posted a video montage that used both of our voices. I actually took a minute and thought to myself, “Have I been in the industry so long that I forgot about singing a duet with Whitney?” I actually felt bad because I grew up listening to her. She was my idol. Somehow, I never imagined Celine waching videos of herself on YouTube! I wonder what else she has seen - fan videos, montages, bootlegs, old interviews? And when she signs in, does YouTube suggest Celine videos for her? Oh shiet then she's definitely heard the hatas (and fans) complain about nasality and lipsynching 4

Your_Su_Phu Posted October 27, 2013 at 03:24 AM Posted October 27, 2013 at 03:24 AM Q: Lucien Bouchard once called you Quebec’s greatest ambassador. With that in mind, Amnesty International just declared Quebec’s controversial charter of values as a limit on fundamental rights that further stigmatizes vulnerable women. Do you agree with Amnesty?A: It’s a very delicate question to answer because I’ll hurt some people and please others but you have to have an opinion. For me, it’s not about the veil—it’s beyond that. I’m not against what people wear but if you go to the hospital, and you are in Quebec and we have embraced you and opened our country for you to live in a better world, you have to adapt to our rules. If the doctor is a boy or a girl, you’re gonna see the doctor that [is] sent to [treat] you. You can’t just say, “My religion doesn’t permit me to see a woman or a male doctor.” That’s the problem for me. If I’m going to see a doctor and he is gay, I’m not going to have a problem with that. It should not be an issue.Q: Yet you’ve stood up for women’s causes throughout the years.A: Of course! It’s just that these women who practise the things they believe in have to adapt to our country. They have to not change our laws. Because you have a lot of Anglican or veiled women in a school—you can’t just take off the [Catholic] cross from the walls, or take down Christmas trees. If I go live in their country and have to be veiled, I will. OMG. I'm shocked she went there 1

There's no need to lie to seem like you are IMPORTANT to this forum, everyone here is important and free to speak their minds, but the lying helps nobody because for the most part, we know what's happening with Celine here first because of all the dedicated members who find reliable news to relay to us here. My advise to you bro, sit back, chill out enjoy the discussion and just relax, having said that welcome back to the forum! 3
marc-02 Posted October 27, 2013 at 05:35 AM Posted October 27, 2013 at 05:35 AM (edited) Great interview, with good question. She talked about the songs she have recorded with Spectors!Q: Phil Spector once told Entertainment Weekly that he owned many of the recordings he did with you during your sessions. He said he was going to release them one day.A: It’s true. He does have the songs. He bought them. He owns them. I would prefer to [re-sing] them the way they should be sung because they were [recorded] in a very difficult environment. I don’t think the recordings as they are right now do justice to the songs, my voice, his work or the musicians who were there the night we recorded them. It was a hard session. I can’t believe you brought that up. I feel like I’m 105 years old because it feels so long ago. Ooohh a lot of interesting and new questions and answers! Annie Lennox... Phil Spector recordings... Whitney duet... story behind at17 the song... and the Maria Callas movie project... And now we get a confirmation that she also knows how to watch a Youtube video! luciusbright Posted October 27, 2013 at 05:40 AM Posted October 27, 2013 at 05:40 AM Celine's opinion on Social issues like this totolly blow me away, like she did in the past few decades's sing career. I am fully agree with her, she is wise and brave on this issue, and that's the problem not only Quebec has but also for most of the Western world. After reading the last question&answer there, I adore Celine even more. 2 S'il suffisait d'aimer...
Brady Posted October 27, 2013 at 06:17 AM Posted October 27, 2013 at 06:17 AM Celine is currently trending on Google Trends... I think its all this rubbish Facebook rumour that she died in a plan crash? xYes, Get that promo!
sourdumpling Posted October 27, 2013 at 06:40 AM Posted October 27, 2013 at 06:40 AM Ouch. Actually, I've been pretty active in Celine's online community since the big bang (back in the days of celine-dion.net and celineonline.com). My issue is that whoever runs the RH seem to be a bit controlling of the info they receive. I follow them on twitter and have seen their site and they always seem to have "exclusive" info that they sometimes share and sometimes just say they have. Not trying to start a war here, just saying that clearly they have more info (in this case, they have a copy of the album) and they are withholding. If they are supposed to be a "fan community," shouldn't they share whatever info/insider knowledge they have with EVERYONE?i think they have the right to decide whether to share or not. if they do, we'll be thankful, if they don't, we cant complain. we dont pay them to collect these info for us, right? of course i'd wnat them to share all they've got so far, but i wont say its their responsibility to do so. and i know the album has already leak, because someone sent me one full track of the album, but in very low quality and is breaking off in some parts of the song. so im 100% sure its fully leaked to a certain group of the people(red heads vip or sth like that), and the person who leaks it is doing everything he could to the minimize the damage. god i feel like im talking about some national secrects here.

PuraVida Posted October 27, 2013 at 08:25 AM Posted October 27, 2013 at 08:25 AM ABM, yes, the hardest note she has ever hit....but definitely not the highest. How high, Celine? How high?! Also, gah, what great taste she has. Annie Lennox and her would make a great duet. Write something great, Annie. Celine needs some more REAL music in her repertoire. Not that LMBTL album isn't "real", but the pop approach only goes so far. 3
mirage Posted October 27, 2013 at 09:20 AM Posted October 27, 2013 at 09:20 AM A duet with annie lenox... if only! :-) And did celine just talked about Phil Spector?! OMG It's frustrating to know that it's not celine who talks about her being a mom... it's the questions she gets asked! 1
JasonFromTheMoon Posted October 27, 2013 at 09:54 AM Posted October 27, 2013 at 09:54 AM A: It’s a very delicate question to answer because I’ll hurt some people and please others but you have to have an opinion. I think every western country should have strict laws for people who come from elsewhere to accept all the rules without complaining about anything and to learn the language that is being spoken! You're going in another country because you don't like the life in yours - what's the sense to take your laws with you when it's them that you're escaping? Logic. I also love the article about "Always Be Your Girl" though the title is a bit off the context, imo. Great articles, finally some really interesting facts. 2 Welcome to the "Loved Me Back To Life" era!http://s10.postimg.org/j8wfwy3ah/Fotor0101825542.jpg
garçon Posted October 27, 2013 at 10:26 AM Posted October 27, 2013 at 10:26 AM Interesting interview, important notion:She's explicitly unsatisfied with the Spector recordings. Perhaps we should not expect too much of it (though I'm more curious than ever). I'm not really sure about the Callas movie, since she might turn out to be too old if she'd wait too long. I hate that the Whitney duet never happened. Besides: who's gonna debunk the gay remark? What did she actually mean with that? 1
