Seems like more than half of the album have potential to be released as singles.

 

This means we'll get the best Celine's English album since ANDHC.

Just listened to WAAF in full. Don't want to give my opinions on songs yet, but regarding the high note itself......

 

based on the comments here I expected more from the high note. It was nice, but it doesn't stand up to most of the high notes she has ever done. I think the falsetto afterwards is much more impressive...except they seem to just be quickly thrown in as an afterthought.

I fully understand people's desire to have this album hit number 1. It would be a great feat, but it shouldn't change everyone's opinion about it.

 

Celine fans will BUY it...but getting around illegal downloads is impossible. It's akin to watching a TV show live compared to DVRing or downloading it. Sometimes how they rate popularity is archaic in nature.

 

It's always sad when one of your favourite people doesn't get the recognition they deserve. But life goes on and we are so lucky to have this new music. For those fans who weren't there in the mid to late 90's when everything Celine Dion did turned to gold (and multi-platinum) I feel a bit sad that you missed that excitement. But nothing changes how you interpret the songs. They have touched you in some way, and I will be as bold to say none of it had to do with their chart position.

 

For those of you who are so caught up in charts, and those saying LOVED ME BACK TO LIFE (single) has died these are a couple of reminders that it's not over until the fat lady sings.

 

1. Look at both PINK's Who Knew and ELLIE GOULDING's Lights. Both became very successful long after they were both released. Sometimes time is all it needs.

 

2. And in regards to her age or "uncoolness" just remember Cher, at the age if 52, had the biggest hit of her career with Believe. She had become such a joke in the 90's and the epitome of uncool.

 

 

LEGENDARY is Celine's status right now, new album or not. The mass public will decide whether she is popular and current. NOT record labels, extensive promotion, Rene, her team, or Celine herself.

 

I'm so effing overjoyed to hear a new album from her, and I'm just so happy she is still healthy, in great voice and still making me excited.

RH seems to be geting mad for the leaks, claiming they also have it but would rather not release it to the public. And that they would have their "revenge"...

 

I think they are over reacting... why even have a "revenge"... just because someone beat you to releasing the songs? They are getting over competitive in a bad way... when in fact we are all celine fans... it seems they want to have an exclusive club/group in which they are more superior fans than us...

 

Before the NY club gig, they also claimed to know it before hand... just like they claim now that they already have all the songs... i didnt believe them then, neither do i believe them now...

 

EDIT: i just read the comments on their fb.. it seems rh was getting mad at Sony for taking down their YouTube page... anyway, i still dont like that RH seems to brag a lot about their exclusives etc... like theyvare the superior sourcr of everything Celine... oh well.

I kind of wish she sang the chorus differently on didn't know love. But i do like the words of the song!

Do I have impossible expectations for the new album? I loved, loved LMBTL and I still have it on repeat. I didn't care for SLS on my first listen and I still don't. None of the other thirty second snippets have impressed me as well. I heard the three leaked songs today and I'm underwhelmed and I'm unexcited about all three of them. Don't really care for any of them. I don't particularly like Celine's 'grandma' voice too.

 

It's turning out that the new album will be only so-so for me. After six long years, I'm terribly disappointed :(

i think maybe its time for you to find another idol so you wont get disappointed again and again...
