"One Heart" album - Official Topic

Just one more proof that this One Heart album wasn't just another new studio album like the others, and served more for pure contractual purposes with the recent deal signed with Chrysler than for merely artistic/musical purposes.

This particular version (made in Argentina) directly includes Chrysler's logo on the front cover and inside and speaks of Céline's "brand new song" I Drove All Night, "included in this album"... Wait, isn't the rest of the album also new???

I remember that in Portugal, in 2003, Chrysler offered a Celine cd to anyone who bought a car.

It was probably this edition. ;)

Oh how happy I am that the CD we got as a gift at the A New Day premiere didn't have Chrysler written all over it even though Chrysler probably paid for it!

Why do we need to keep having "proof"? Can't we just enjoy the album (or not if you don't like it)?

What are you trying to prove when there's nothing to prove? Especially uhm.. 15 years later..

I'm not criticising anything, to the contrary, it's just to show the greatness of the 2002 recording sessions, taking into account she probably recorded around 30 songs (if not more), and how totally creative she was for that one album  Isn't that something to praise? To me it is

this album is a masterpiece, unfortunately it was released maybe 2 years later, if this has come by 2000/2001 i'm sure would have been a smash hit ;)

Sooo you may have probably noticed this years ago, but did you realise that part of the One Heart photoshoot was already made during the filming of the GTSW (2002) video??? :sofunny: :sofunny: :sofunny:

Look closely to these screen caps taken from the GTSW video:

post-6419-0-36566700-1534934314_thumb.jpgpost-6419-0-90656100-1534934315_thumb.jpgpost-6419-0-73323000-1534934317_thumb.jpg

And then look the One Heart album cover:

600x600bf.jpg

Same blouse, same round earrings, same kerchief around her neck, same couch... It's clearly a picture taken during the GTSW video :-D And also you can see the piano behind her in the video in this picture here:

Celine%2BDion%2B-%2BOne%2BHeart%2B-%2BBooklet%2B(2-10).jpg

So, this comes to prove once and again how the OH album was so rushed that not only the songs, but even part of the photos come from the ANDHC promotion! :giggle:

Which leads me to think that the rest of the pictures of the OH/Chrysler photoshoot were taken also the day when they filmed the GTSW video, including the I Drove All Night picture cover :P

Look closely to these screen caps again:

And then look to the IDAN single cover:

Tadaaa! Isn't she looking surprisingly the same as inside the car during the GTSW videoclip??? There's a Chrysler car in the videoclip too, it's crystal-clear to me

So all in all this findings only leave me more and more convinced that the OH album wasn't recorded at all, but for its lead single... This is the ultimate proof about the blending of the OH album with the ANDHC album, because even part of the pictures used where taken during filming one of the ANDHC videos :whee: :in_love:

I believe the rest of the Chrysler photos were taken some time during late 2002 or 2003? It would be too much to think she took all these pictures the same day as the GTSW video right? Also the settings and her straight hair doesn't match with the hair she had during the GTSW video and the setting (here looks more like a golf club or something). But the IDAN picture cover? I have no doubts! :giggle:

Javito, there is a concept in OH, and the album itself is still good after those years, the shoot is epic, love the pics in black and white, it looks like Celine, she looks amazing

and recycling songs doesn't matter, Faith, Reveal, Stand by your side, One Heart, are germs

i think the only mistake on the album was Have you ever been in love, why not the Spanish version instead?

why je t'aime encore was not a single as the same time as the french one?

OH is amazing and after 15 years better than ANDHC (too sterile) and TC (too edgy).

It does make sense since GBTSW was released in November of 2002. By then, the Chrysler deal was already signed and put together, as the commercials were to debut in early 2003. “One Heart” wasn’t just some random idea that was thrown together in two weeks. There was more purpose behind it than to just put out an album. It was released in conjunction with the Chrysler deal, the company that was also the main sponsor (at the time) for “A New Day...” It was all a huge, connected marketing plan. That video footage could have very well been intended for Chrysler promo. It is not rare to shoot some video footage during a photoshoot. (Does it appear on that promo DVD that Chrysler gave away in 2003?) They surely didn’t wait until the last minute to take the photos for this campaign, and I don’t believe they initially had anything to do with the ANDHC album. Being that GBTSW was released so close to the launch of the campaign, they did some product placement with the Crossfire and included some video footage from the photoshoot. It was all intent for marketing Chrysler. It was all Chrysler marketing and not initially intended to have anything to do with ANDHC.

One Heart rules! I love that album, it’s amazing! So fresh and light, even now in 2018! A real gem in her discography.

Im also a big fan of the ANDHC album, but OH is lighter and fresher. They both are unique in their own way.

What I dislike big time though is the horrible music video for EJTE. She looks as if she was sick. It’s not nice to watch. Moreover, they could have recorded an English version video at the same time, after all it is the same song and they would just have to shoot some scenes with her singing in English (like they did with let your heart decide).

They could have recorded the music video for EJTE in the same setting they did the cover pics for the OH album. Long hair, on that couch in front of the piano, all black and white. That would have been cool!

(By the way, a music video for Encore un soir in this same setting would have been awesome too!!! Simple, not expensive, elegant and gorgeous! It would fit the song so well!)

Hey, my point was precisely to say that I don't mind at all *if* they recycled songs from the ANDHC sessions for this album, because it's just as good as ANDHC!! ;)

So if the songs from OH come from leftovers from the ANDHC recording sessions (a theory I've always supported), the better!!! :-D Because I've always thought the OH album is an extended version of the ANDHC album :giggle:

However, I don't think OH has a concept, the only concept behind -if there was such- it's that the album was an excuse to support the Chrysler deal they signed to launch her Vegas show, and the lead single she recorded for that campaign. Other than that... to me it became clear they released another album in 2003 only to support the start of her Vegas show and the Chrysler deal, but she barely had any time to record another new album after ANDHC :giggle:

Maybe they really REALLY wanted to release HYEBIL as a single (off ANDHC), but because OH it couldn't be. So they also put it on the latter album.

(I had a feeling Céline also really loved that song)

I prefer the OH version, it’s a bit softer. That’s probably why I like it, I’m not that into dance music/remixes etc. Can’t see her ever singing this one live now, which is a shame.
