Flaca Posted February 15, 2012 at 08:58 PM Posted February 15, 2012 at 08:58 PM Celine is an Aries. We always speak our minds, sometimes without thinking twice. As sad as Whitney's passing is, Celine spoke the truth. Unfortunately some people can't handle the truth, and the result is that she is now being bashed by the media and on the internet. But I'm proud of Celine for being one of the first people to say what many people were thinking but didn't want to say. I know what you're talking about... Guilty! I'm proud of Céline, too. Someone finally talked about the bad side of industry, so it's not weird to hear so many reactions about what she said. Quote Quand tout m'angoisse, quand tout s'éteint, j'entends ta voix

Celine Fan 77 Posted February 15, 2012 at 11:09 PM Posted February 15, 2012 at 11:09 PM ok, I was in shock before, but, after watching some videos from 1994 and 2010 (yes, she delivered some amazing vocal performances during her latest world tour), I'm even more sad now that I realize WHAT a voice and a probably great human being we've lost. How could she be calm in a situation like this, when a fellow superstar, very much like her musically, is found in a bath tub dead? How is she expected to be unemotional and just go on about how much she was inspired by Whitney? About that thing about Québec's independance, a journalist asked her what she tought about that. She said that she didn't think that it was the right thing at the moment, she didn't say that she was for or against and they ''deformed'' what she said to make it look like she was againt. It was the Félix that she refused... They warned l'ADISQ before... she was right on that one too... I don't know how she's supposed to not be emotional about this... It's a very good question... She seemed very condescending, I mean the Celine Dion life model is not applicable to most people anyway... I agree...she kinda came off as like "my life is best and I don't do that kinda thing, so why do you?". Of course we all know she did not mean it that way and in no way meant she was better than anyone BUT the people that don't like her are gonna immediately jump to that conclusion and that Twitter crap proves they did. I also think the timing of it wasn't good but now of course many are saying that. It is more credible coming from people that were actually friends of hers. I'd really like to know what Clive Davis' HONEST take on it is. I'm sure he was too close to the situation and it's deeply private for him to ever come out and say....until he retires and writes a book. I miss what was yet to come from Whitney. Quote ~J O E Y~
Alex_Incognito Posted February 16, 2012 at 06:21 PM Posted February 16, 2012 at 06:21 PM Celine said nothing of the sort like that. Hasn't talk about this gone on long enough? She said what she was feeling, the end. It's over. She meant no disrespect and IN NO WAY does she think she's better than anyone. She just exclaimed her fears of the entertainment industry and the track that some people take. I, for one, am thankful that Celine's a responsible woman. Sure, that doesn't make her the most interesting in some people's eyes, but she at least thinks before she acts. Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990
GoldenLeaf Posted February 16, 2012 at 06:48 PM Posted February 16, 2012 at 06:48 PM (edited) In addiction situations, it's very easy to blame someone else for the problem. Bobby Brown wasn't the reason for Whitney's troubles and he wasn't responsible for her. She made her own decisions. Ultimately it was all up to her. Naturally his presence and hish addictions didn't help her at all, but we can't keep blaming Bobby for her problems. Whitney was an adult and responsible for her own actions. As much as I dislike te idea of Bobby Brown, it's not fair to blame him.''we can't keep blaming Bobby for her problems'' ? Bobby Brown physically and mentally abused her through their 15 years marriage. It's no secret that abused people tend to feel vulnerable and ultimately fall into the darkness of alcohol and drugs addiction to relieve their pain... and once they're in this mess it's very hard for them to get by even with proper professional help. Whitney had problems before Bobby. It's easy to place the blame. But watch the Oprah interview from 2009. While we all agree he was not good for her by any means… she had problems deep in her core. takeachance Posted February 16, 2012 at 10:50 PM Posted February 16, 2012 at 10:50 PM (edited) Im finding it hard to figure out how she died. It seems she was off illegal drugs. So why would she have taken a heep of xanax? you would need to take a good lot of xanax for it to actually kill you , even with alcohol. I just dont get how she died to be honest. browseceline Posted February 16, 2012 at 11:02 PM Posted February 16, 2012 at 11:02 PM (edited) Translation from Dutch article in www.telegraaf.nl Two weeks before her death, Whitney has been examined by a doctor. It turned out her body was not in a good condtion The singer went to a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, because she wanted a facelift. Before doing that, she had to undergo a medical investigation. That turned out that Whitney's body was not in a good condition. The doctor we are talking about, did not want tell if Whitney was his client, because that is secret of proffession. But he did tell that before doing a medical operation like this, everyone, including celebs, need the heart, longues and liver to be examined before doing the procedure. Whitney died on the age of 48, last saturdayAs the rumors state, Whitney has visited a doctor three times in the week before her death. It's such a fitting song for this time: Whitney, A Song For You, 1991 I actually only found out yesterday she ever performed that song before it showed up on her last album. Obviously the voice is better in the early days, but I love the album version. It's one of my favorite Whitney sounds ever since the album came out. Quote

Celine isn't exactly known for controvertial statements....but she's definately made a few. Mainly the ones you just listed. Either way...I've gotten into like 2 or 3 very ugly youtube fights regarding her comment. I've easily won every argument, but I've also said some pretty horrible things. I lurve Whitney, but Celine will always be my #1. Celine's comment may have been a little too soon....but she's right! I know the coroners won't have an official answer for like 2 or 3 weeks....but if it turns out that drugs DID kill Whitney....I'm going off on ALL the Whitney fan boys who were mad at Celine for speaking the truth. smw Posted February 17, 2012 at 04:22 AM Author Posted February 17, 2012 at 04:22 AM Clive was way too close to Whitney and her family. And we may never hear his honest take on his journey with Whitney. But I do hope that he documents it -- in some way -- so that it can help to preserve her legacy/help people gain insight into Whitney's real story. I will never get over the loss of Whitney Houston. Her voice was one of a kind. And I just hope for Celine's continued health and sanity. In the grand scheme that IS ALL that matters. The loss of Whitney really helps me gain perspective on Celine's career. She can do whatever she wants as long as she's happy. Quote
