Yeah, but with help...When we put a show together we go around the table many times and say, "What do you think of that"?

there were a few I didn't want to do (at first).I didn't want to do the Titanic Song and I didn't want to the french song "Ne Me Quitte

Pas"...I'm glad I don't choose everything that I do.(smiles)...

 

It's the start of RC's school year soon so you'll be back in Florida until December. Does this mean theres a new album in the works?

 

Yes, for sure...I'm going to record a French album and also an English Album. I don't know wehn it will come out but I have to do it

I want to do it..We're going to be listening to songs (at the house)...

 

She talks about RC and playing golf, modern technology, keepsakes and what she's done with them, the twins and that she wrote a song for Marc Dupre "Entre Deux Mondes"...How she is the youngest child and how she was spoiled, etc...etc...

My intention was not at all to be rude.That is why I said as people were being seated prior to the show beginning, not while she was talking or singing. I don't think the show should be interrupted at all for this but if, like someone mentioned before she asks "How is everybody doing tonight" and there is a door for a response, why not take the opportunity to sing back to her one of her own songs. When I was there, Rene did come in five or ten minutes before the show actually started, so why not have a few people singing while he is present? I don't think it would disturb Celine. Some people on this forum have done things a lot crazier than this to get their attention and Celine and Rene didn't appear to have a problem with it

Thanx for this short review. I also agree with her. I'd definitely remove the titanic song, but leave this french Ne me quitte pas cuz I love it . Good Celine, I love your opinion. I thought that she could choose a song for the singing, but I got a bit surprised on this.

I'm sure if a group of fans started singing Then You Look At Me, Celine's reaction would probably be "oh rene what song is that, I want to cover it in my new show" .....she probably doesn't remember the song. Afterall, the newest song in the show is MHWGO because thats when her career ended.

And I agree with Claudette about BATB being the only song I applaud. It's the only performance in the show that does the song SOME justice. Everything else is shortened by 2 minutes, lipped, butchered, or a cover.

 

What about Alive and A New Day ?

Those songs were good and were part of the Celine career do you not think

I'm all for including ''I'm Alive'' and ''A New Day Has Come''. I have IA on repeat at the moment. It is upbeat and definitely a fan favourite. Who knows it may even sound more interesting with the orchestra.

I know this is a bit 'off topic', but while we are waiting for the scans or at least further information I have to say that I find your position rather sad, with all due respect:

 

I think the tour was a great thing that has allowed many fans to see her in concert, fans like me who couldn't make it to Vegas. Moreover, I personally consider the Live-DVD and the tour movie as wonderful and still enjoy watching them from time to time. There might be some flaws (I certainly don't want to re-open this debate ), but they represent overall, in my opinion, great live recordings.

 

I know that there is a rather negative and highly critical mood among many people here, but that someone can consider him- or herself a fan of Celine while arguing that all the releases of the last 4 years are basically crap and useless is beyond me. I mean, you are of course entitled to your opinion and I can understand your desire for new material, but being that much blasé and fed-up seems to me as not very healthy. It certainly goes beyond just having a critical mind.

 

But anyhow, I seem to end up defending Celine over and over again, although I tended to be one of the more critical persons myself. But reading all this unjustified and exagerrated criticism makes it very difficult to forumlate a moderate, balanced critique, so here we go

 

very well said, and i am myself to discriminate between things i like from Celine and things i like less or don't at all...It seems to me that she must do something good even though some of them are not my cup of tea...But she has to please not just me but others as well, so i accept that.
