Yeah, and ? Don't come tell us that it's been difficult for her doing that. She just has to be there every night, miming the difficult songs and doing the strict minimum for the rest.

 

At the beginning of her career, she made great sacrifices. What she's doing now is easy. What's the point of giving concerts every nights, if it's for lip-synching. There's no sincerity in lip-synching. She's doing it for money (and I can understand that).

 

And I don't agree with you on one other thing. People don't know she lip-synchs. And worse, they deliberately try to deceive us. And that's the biggest disappointment for me. They're putting so much effort for making her show look live, because they know that if people knew, they wouldn't go see her at LV.

 

My point is that she hasn't lipped for all of her career, and in between the 1,200 headlining concerts she's given, she's performed on hundreds of chat shows and awards ceremonies, the majority of which have been live. And as I said before, these aren't songs that require the minimum of belting [i.e. Adele], these are songs that require constant pressure on the vocal chords. There is no easy approach to songs like All By Myself, Because You Loved Me, MHWGO, IACBTMN, POL - and these are what people want to hear.

 

And she doesn't lip every second of every show, like you seem to be obsessed with implying.

Her voice today is the best it's been in a long time (since 90-95). I for one find her FIY/LTAL era vocals extremely overrated. I nearly can't stand them. They sound thin, strained, whiny (whiney?), etc.

 

I'm confident that if she sang The Reason, Where Does My Heart Beat Now, and The Power Of Love 100% live, that she could easily back up those new playbacks she made.

I can almost guarantee that she DOES NOT lip synch, because i have been to several of her "Celine" shows... day after day, and it is different everytime. Sometimes she doesnt even say part of the lyric (maybe she forgets it)... or she says something to the crowd during the song... She is 100% real!! Why is it sooo hard to believe that she is supremely talented? Why does everyone second guess her talent? She is the Queen!

 

 

First or pardon my French, but it really piss$s me off. when some one, comes into this topic and says that Celine lip syncs. Celine has to much of a powerful voice, to lypsync her own songs when she has done them thousands of times LIVE. Also, if she does lypsync it is to give voice a little rest. I have seen, Celine three times and I Have never heard her lypsync once. Every time, it has been live. Plus, all the time you say she lypsyncs is on tv shows.

 

You guys cannot be serious. You seriously believe that Celine has sung every single note in her career 100% live? Of course she lips, and so what? Show me one singer out there that has never done it before. What I don't agree on though is that she lips her whole concert as some of you claim. That is certainly not true.

Whilst I don't wish to get into the whole lipping debate again as, let's face it what more can be said, I'm not sure I agree with charging $250 per ticket for a show that contains so much lipping. That is not right.

 

Any other musical performance be it theatre, opera, musical or whatever has the stars sing live sometimes at 9 performances a week. And they charge much less per ticket. Surely the concert prices for Vegas mean it's reasonable for anyone to expect a live performance?

The ''up to 90%'' statement comes directly from some of her die-hards fans from the ukmix forum. That's what they've answered me when I asked them about the her lipping from her AA Tour.

Celine's lipping is universal knowledge. one major giveaway, her moving her lips to let it appear that she is using vibrato, which is utterly ridiculous, cause that is not how you use your vibrato

i think her voice has changed a lot ,now her voice is very nasal but when she was younger she had a thender voice when she was a teenager she had a rough voice

it's normal people age and so do their vocal cords and casue she is a singer her vocal cords will age more than others regarding to this fact that she sings powerful most of the time and i think there is the difference between celine and others that they get famous for anything just voice .

anyway celine's voice has been wonderfull and still is and no one will be born with her angelic voice and talent . i am very lucky to be in her times
