mbruni897 Posted February 1, 2023 at 01:29 PM Posted February 1, 2023 at 01:29 PM So it was known that this bootleg was out there? Any other gems you have found? I don't know if you know the setlist.fm site, among the various Celine concert setlists I found a comment from a gentleman who had updated a badly written setlist from the 1995 Birmingham concert because he had the recording, as soon as I read that comment I I immediately wrote to this gentleman if he could send me a copy of the concert, it still doesn't seem true that we have this concert 5 Quote
MaiconSC Posted February 1, 2023 at 04:31 PM Posted February 1, 2023 at 04:31 PM Wow, what a show. This was the first show in 3 months and only the second in five months. This is peak Celine at her most rested. The can't help falling in love performance is simply unreal. Both big notes as well as really that entire performance are perfect. Way better than the official release we got. I love hearing the fans in this recording and how they respond just the same as they did in 2018 on the lines "shall i stay?" "Would it be a sin?" Think twice...been wanting a full live length tour arrangement for this since the three best performances are with a choppy studio instrumental ending. Loved the adlibs at the end, loved the "no's" ...way better than falling into you tour. Rdmh, calling you, and tcoml are also top notch. Rdmh has that same energy of letterman. The chesty f5 bridge was the best thing we've heard from that song outside of letterman if im being honest. Calling you is a song that is pretty indicative of her vocal state whether tired or not and here you can really tell how rested she is. This song sounds phenomenal here. Tcoml is just simply beautiful. She is really feeling it and singing to Rene. That ending note too... Batb even sounds fresh, perhaps because it's the earliest performance we have with terry bradford?? Did you noticed at the end of Think Twice she did a melisma VERY SIMILAR to the one from Is This What I Get For Loving You???Even the same note! E5... She was really inspired that day... The ending of TCOML is from another world... OH MY GOD... Her voice was so perfect that we can't tell what's live or playback (of course we know by compare), but the quality of the vocals are INSANE... 2 Quote
MaiconSC Posted February 1, 2023 at 04:34 PM Posted February 1, 2023 at 04:34 PM :spaz: It is so amazing to finally hear a full TCOML tour concert! It's definitely mind blowing! Her voice is so so strong. I do think her vocal peak was 1994-1995. Of course the rest of the 90's were strong too, but she performed so much, of course that had an effect on her voice. All the songs sound fresh and new! Also PQTME! The ease she sings that song with! All the extra ad lips are amazing, and I love the way she plays with TCOML! I was thinking... it probably was The Hague, May 27th that she last sung TCOML live until 2017! I said it before, I'll say it again, that was not even 10 minutes from my home and I missed that!! it will haunt me for ever!! RDMH still sounds a bit Tina like, she deffo made it 'her' song over the years! And I also liked the big family and curry speeches. I do think it's the earliest recording with Terry on BATB, but I also think it's the only recording we have of them singing WIFIL together! He wasn't bad y'all, he wasn't bad. And of course finally hearing ETMBD live like that is a dream come true! OOR was awesome too and you'd hear from the crowd's reaction that TT was her biggest song at that time! It's a shame though, wiki said L'amour existe encore, Je danse dans ma tête and Unison were performed too... but it seems they weren't because this sounds like a full concert, without any cuts. Maybe they were only performed in Canada, but not outside. We have WIFIL with Terry from the Brunei concert...But I agree BATB sounds fresh, even Terry's voice is somehow more bright and fuller in it... I love Terry, I preferr him over Barnev... And these other songs you'vee mentioned, they must been part of the french concerts... Maybe the À L'Olympia was the basic french setlist, and the cut the english songs for the album release... Quote
MaiconSC Posted February 1, 2023 at 04:36 PM Posted February 1, 2023 at 04:36 PM I found this show almost by luck and it was very hard to get it because the gentleman who shared it with me wanted something in return Thank you so very much for the find and negotiation with the gentleman...This must be an unique moment for us fans...It's a dream come true, and some kind of hope for other rare stuff to appear... mirage Posted February 1, 2023 at 05:37 PM Posted February 1, 2023 at 05:37 PM (edited) Oh wow sounds amazing. It can be that easy if everyone who has something unique of Céline would be that kind. Do you know if he was at that show and made the recording? And are you behind the youtube channel Celine's Paradis then? No the Youtube channel is not mine, I think another guy named Alex that I am dealing with sent it to the owner of the Youtube channel so he published it, however the owner of the recording of the concert recorded it himself Quote

Tyler1991 Posted February 2, 2023 at 01:44 AM Posted February 2, 2023 at 01:44 AM WDMHBN has been lipped since 1992 Right. That miami charity benefit in july (i think) 92 has always been a gigantic piece in the celine lip sync puzzle of timelines and people always neglect to remember that as the proof that playbacks before Tcoml tour existed. AdrienneM Posted February 2, 2023 at 03:28 AM Posted February 2, 2023 at 03:28 AM Right. That miami charity benefit in july (i think) 92 has always been a gigantic piece in the celine lip sync puzzle of timelines and people always neglect to remember that as the proof that playbacks before Tcoml tour existed. To me, the vocal scare on the Unison tour is what caused the prevalence in lipping to emerge. Any opportunity to take the strain off and give her voice a break between songs was taken. Whether they were hard or not, it wasn’t about that. It was about not overworking her. Especially when she was at her commercial peak, was often performing 4-5 times a week and couldn’t afford to lose or damage her voice 2 Quote

This night in Birmingham is the first time ever Céline sang Pour que tu m'aimes Encore live on stage and the musical arrangement was sooooooo good back then ! Isn't it amazing to have the very first interpretation in concert of this song ?! Was it the FIRST? I just rewatched the performance on Nul Part Ailleurs, and that might be the first technically. The description says it aired “16 March 1995” Personally, this is my favourite performance of PQTME… She sounds more like the album version here than in any other performance I’ve heard. And the rasp she pulls out on « plus brillante et plus belle » and « je deviendrai ces autres » is INSANE - plus the band is incredible! There was also this performance on Taratata that aired 19 May 1995 (same day as the Birmingham concert/start of the tour). Clearly, she would have filmed that show prior to starting the tour…. At least I think so! Either way, the band is still better than Céline‘s by a mile! lol Edited February 3, 2023 at 04:21 AM by Chantemoi Quote

I also have to disagree with the comment about the band… the Taratata band sound like a cheap student band. the sound is poorly balanced and mixed and the drums completely overpower all the other instruments. The first performance has a way better arrangement than Taratata tho. Edited February 3, 2023 at 05:09 AM by AdrienneM Quote
