GoldenLeaf Posted August 27, 2010 at 06:50 PM Posted August 27, 2010 at 06:50 PM (edited) I'm the only one who thinks this song is boring? I think her voice sounds good but the song itself is boring as hell. I really don't like it. Edited August 27, 2010 at 06:50 PM by Calypso Quote
Javito Posted August 27, 2010 at 07:02 PM Posted August 27, 2010 at 07:02 PM You tell me it's boring????!!!!It's one of the best songs in French in 2000s ! She hasn't done such highnotes neither on 1f&4t nor on D'elles! I love it! and even the voice of the grandpa is better in a full song:) Love it! If her French album is gonna be like this, it will be awesome! Not everything are high notes in Céline's songs and vocal capabilities!! Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

Very true Javito, it is not always about high notes, but you have to admit that there are some pretty impressive high notes from Celine's side in the last minute or so. It feels nice to hear her hitting those notes again... I'll say this again. The short previews do not represent the song at all. You guys have to hear the full song before forming an opinion about it. Even the nasal thing seems to dissappear when you listen to it in good quality (or maybe it just grows on you ). I feel bad for judging it so quickly based on a clip of a few seconds... By the way, the music in the bridge and the last part reminds me of that song Garou and that other two guys sang in ''Sur Les Plaines'' before Celine sang ''Et s'il n'en restait qu'une (je serais celle-là)''. is it just me? Angel2006 Posted August 27, 2010 at 07:44 PM Posted August 27, 2010 at 07:44 PM What are you guys talking about, she doesn't have a nasal sound. I thought she sounded amazing!! Don't forget it's much harder to sing when your pregnant cuz it put's more pressure on your diafram. I think considering she's six months pregnant, she did an amazing job!! Quote
celine_rox Posted August 27, 2010 at 07:44 PM Posted August 27, 2010 at 07:44 PM (edited) Don't hate on me.... but....... I really don't like it The music sounds like it's from a fantasy video game... or at least that's how i perceive it.Michael Sardou makes it sound worse than it should be. But Celine's vocals are really good! And she doesnt sound that nasal-y Edited August 27, 2010 at 07:47 PM by celine_rox Quote

Yes, I admit, but I never doubted about that , I know that our girl can still hit those high notes, and judging by the songs we have received in he last albums, I think we will have high noted-Céline for a loooong time BUT all I wonder if she can still do the beautiful songs in low-key like Did You Give Enough Love or Je Crois Toi. Those are the songs that I miss! Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

pat200 Posted August 27, 2010 at 09:38 PM Posted August 27, 2010 at 09:38 PM Well I will forgive her for the being a bit nasal on some parts because she more than made up for it in the last minute: WOW However her pronunciation is still bad. I can't understand some of the things she is saying whereas with Sardou I don't have that problem at all. All in all, a lovely song and an improvement to most songs on D'elles! Yippie!! Quote

I can't wait for the music video! And the fact that the song's gonna have a music video means that it's gonna be released as a single! Teodora Posted August 27, 2010 at 11:30 PM Posted August 27, 2010 at 11:30 PM I really like it too. I can't say I'm totally hooked on it like I was on Acadian Driftwood for example, but I love the orchestra and Celine sounds amazing. And it's a very powerful song too. Quote

RomualdlovesCeline Posted August 28, 2010 at 01:55 AM Posted August 28, 2010 at 01:55 AM I don't know if people in this forum understand French but I was watching a radio-itv of Michel Sardou talking about his duet with Celine Dion, and DRUM ROLL... He was MOCKING the hell of Celine; I don't know why Celine even accepted to do this duet: Watch below the itvhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qihtDk5KJ2c He was basically bragging about Celine's pregnancy and how Rene was her manager and s*** like that. I mean he should be grateful one is doing him a favour becoz if I'm not wrong he's basically a nobody in France Quote
