I wonder if we'll finally get to see some pictures or a video of them recording or something this week considering it gets officially released tomorrow. I reeeeeeeally hope so!!

WOW, i just love it!!

It reminds me a bit of ESNRQ, with the whole orchestra thing, and she sounds good in my opinion. It suits her this kind of music style, it's better then all the crappy computermade songs of her!

 

Cant wait to hear the HQ and to see the video!!!!

 

 

I really like it too. I can't say I'm totally hooked on it like I was on Acadian Driftwood for example, but I love the orchestra and Celine sounds amazing. And it's a very powerful song too.

We need another COOL Duet in english with a younger artist of todays music scene

Not the best song ever, but I kinda like the vocals on the second half of the song!

I hope they don't expect the same success of "Sous le vent"

Her vocals are a tad whiny and it's a bit of a struggle reaching the climactic notes.

 

If she wants to go back to her ballad roots and release a "nightgown" album, fine, but the voice has to be better than what I've heard.

I agree, the second part of the song sounds really good! In my opinion Celine sounded really good, and the song is growing on me now I'm beginning to like it, although there's something about Michael Sardou I don't quite like

hmmmmm it's not a WOW it's an oke, nice duet, great to hear something after so long! but yeah it aint no Sous Le Vent

 

At some points Céline's voice did sounded a bit 'tired' but at other parts it was awesome! I still don't like his voice that much though...

Does anybody else get the feeling that this is kind of a ''cheap'' (if that is the right word) song? I mean don't get me wrong it is nice and Celine's voice sounds better than in ''Acadian Driftwood'', but it just sounds like it is not very well produced. I also get the feeling that both of then recorded the song in one or two takes.

Maybe Celine is just going by how the woman on the demo sung the song. If you think it doesn't sound that great at certain parts, it could be cuz Celine was just copying what the woman on the demo did. I know she copies the sound of the demo's cuz she doesn't know music notes.

Celine may not be able to read notes, but she can hear them and I'm pretty sure she would be able to hear if the demo is not right or whatever. Celine has one of the best ears in the bussiness. That is why she can go by ear only and improvise so well. I highly doubt she just copies the singers on the demos.

 

Edit: And I'm pretty sure that over the years Celine must have picked up a few things about music theory and all that. I mean she did write a few songs afterall. So she can't be that clueless...

I know celine is not clueless. I just know that she doesn't put as much thought into perfecting certain things anymore cuz she has done so much in her career that she feel's she doesn't need to prove something anymore. I don't think she pays much attention to the technical side of things and she leaves that up to the pro's. I think these days she goes by how the demo sounds. Celine sings what's on the demo and then her job is done. Celine relies on the people around her now to do everthing else, so it is either, the demo singer didn't sing the song that great or the producer's on the song didn't to there parts well.

 

As for Celine, she did all she could do which is always 100% and in my opinion she did an amazing job!!

Me too!! Every time i hear the song i think OMG Celine was pregnant singing that song and that lucky #ss Michel Sardou got to see her belly. I also get burst of excitement every day. I'm so excited and i can't wait to see Celine. "Show us your belly"!!

She's pregnant, yes. She doesn't have cancer. The only thing I was talking about was her pronounciation who is very bad, and that's sad because she doesn't talk like that. That's sad that nobody is able to tell her.

Well I will forgive her for the being a bit nasal on some parts because she more than made up for it in the last minute: WOW

 

However her pronunciation is still bad. I can't understand some of the things she is saying whereas with Sardou I don't have that problem at all.

 

All in all, a lovely song and an improvement to most songs on D'elles! Yippie!!

 

I agree that the last minute is VERY good. This song seems to be like 2 different songs. The slow and boring beginning and then... the faster rhythm and Celine's killer voice!!

 

By the way, I understand every word that she is saying. I think that if you are fluent in French, you should't have any problems... I would think...

On hearing the short clips, I wasn't hopeful, but I just had goosebumps on listening to the full song. She has the power and I disagree with people saying her voice is rubbish. Crystal clear and trademark Celine belts- why I love her.

Dont worry about it. Here the fans became that way. Always saying bad stuff about Celine and then suddenly they like her again. We dont have to praise her always, but they should decide it in the beginning what to say before they say sth.
