Julian Posted August 24, 2010 at 05:20 PM Posted August 24, 2010 at 05:20 PM The info. about Celine spending the month of September recording new songs has also been confirmed as being true, so the wheels are begining to turn again, its exciting!! We knew that since mostly 4 months. The news comes from a belgium magazine in which Valerie Michelin said that Celine will record the french album in September. She gave titles of 4 songs.Ne touche pas à ma loge! is one of the 4? ? Don't be ironic with me please. She gave 4 titles.Noooo i didnt wanted to be ironic with YOU! Sorry What about the song written by jean pierre ferland?i forgot the name. Is it one of the 4? Quote
anewdayhascome Posted August 24, 2010 at 05:29 PM Posted August 24, 2010 at 05:29 PM Well can we stick to the topic? As I enter it all the time because I think that the song is out and all the time there are posts about her French album. I'd be grateful. And, still, it's so EXTRAORDINARY (hehe) that Voler is not in the Internet 6 days before the premiere Quote A New Day... 10th & 11th November 2006 Taking Chances World Tour, Antwerp 13th & 14th May 2008, Kraków 28th June 2008 Celine 25th & 27th & 31st August 2013 20th, 23rd, 24th, 27th & 28th September 2016 Sans attendre Tour, Paris 1st & 5th December 2013 Encore un soir, Paris 24th, 25th, 28th, 29th June & 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 9th July 2016 Live 2017 Stockholm 17th June 2017 Lille 1st & 2nd July 2017 Paris 8th & 9th July 2017 Berlin 23rd & 24th July 2017 Live 2018 Taipei 11th & 13th July 2018 Manila 19th July 2018 Bangkok 23rd July 2018 BST Hyde Park London 5 July 2019

celine-rc Posted August 25, 2010 at 07:36 PM Posted August 25, 2010 at 07:36 PM I think her english album might be a bit more up-tempo. I find her french ones are always more balads, but the english ones, I find, tend to be more commercial. The worst thing though is that if it's not available till Saturday I'll be able to listen to it on the 13th of September! that's my luck:( Quote A New Day... 10th & 11th November 2006 Taking Chances World Tour, Antwerp 13th & 14th May 2008, Kraków 28th June 2008 Celine 25th & 27th & 31st August 2013 20th, 23rd, 24th, 27th & 28th September 2016 Sans attendre Tour, Paris 1st & 5th December 2013 Encore un soir, Paris 24th, 25th, 28th, 29th June & 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 9th July 2016 Live 2017 Stockholm 17th June 2017 Lille 1st & 2nd July 2017 Paris 8th & 9th July 2017 Berlin 23rd & 24th July 2017 Live 2018 Taipei 11th & 13th July 2018 Manila 19th July 2018 Bangkok 23rd July 2018 BST Hyde Park London 5 July 2019

dj4celine Posted August 27, 2010 at 01:34 PM Posted August 27, 2010 at 01:34 PM I couldn't agree more with you two. She sounds very nasal in this It's great that she's giving us new material, but c'mon. She can use her whatever-voice-preserving-tricks in Vegas but at least let go off them while recording songs. Fade Away was nasal but this is beyond that. Thoroughly disappointed in what little I heard. Apart from that, the bridge music was nice. Very pop/rock. Quote
Davey84 Posted August 27, 2010 at 01:35 PM Posted August 27, 2010 at 01:35 PM yeah it's very nasal! Céline... stop it! Claudette Posted August 27, 2010 at 01:50 PM Posted August 27, 2010 at 01:50 PM (edited) I didn't want to say anything about the nasally thing earlier today because I thought that maybe I'm starting to listen out for it and that's why I keep on hearing it. But it is really getting worse and worse. I thought that with this break she will stop singing like that... Why is she doing it? I pray that she gets rid of that thing she does before she records her new French material next month... Edit: Maybe it is just the bad sound quality of these YouTube clips (I hope). They tend to give voices a funny sound sometimes... Edited August 27, 2010 at 01:51 PM by Claudette Quote http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg
Davey84 Posted August 27, 2010 at 02:04 PM Posted August 27, 2010 at 02:04 PM i think (fear) that she's singing more nasally cos it's easier; it less stress on her vocal cords... it's great for live performances, but not on recordings Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th
Claudette Posted August 27, 2010 at 02:13 PM Posted August 27, 2010 at 02:13 PM (edited) I don't know... But one of the judges on SA's Idols said something interesting a few weeks ago that made me wonder about this nasally thing she does: she said that a lot of people sing like that lately and that apparantly that is the latest thing and the guys taking part are immitating singers out there. She almost had a fit. She said that it is annoying as hell and she really doesn't understand why people sing like that these days. So I don't know if she has a point or what and that it is maybe something that Celine and others aim to do or what... But I wish Rene or somebody could just point out to her that it really does not sound that great at times. Thomas Posted August 27, 2010 at 02:21 PM Posted August 27, 2010 at 02:21 PM I never really thought it was a choice, as such. Celine herself has said a few times over the years (Biography special, Larry King...) that her voice isn't as "technically good" as it was in the past. I thought it was just a sign of her voice maturing, that it was natural now that her vocal chords can't deliver the sheer, unbelievable force they used to. As in her nose had more say in what was being delivered now that her vocal chords had less, if you catch my drift. I mean, once upon a time she could open her mouth and trees would fall down, if there was nasal tones there we probably couldn't have heard them under the power coming from her throat. But I don't know about the technics of singing so maybe she just got lazy and if she concentrated hard it wouldn't be there anymore? I don't know! Quote

But I wish Rene or somebody could just point out to her that it really does not sound that great at times. Yeah, right...And then she'll say that she's not as perfect technically as she used to be, but nowadays she sings much better with much more soul...Plus that she doesn't have to prove herself and now she's just enjoying music... Quote
Claudette Posted August 27, 2010 at 02:30 PM Posted August 27, 2010 at 02:30 PM (edited) She also said in one of the biographies that her voice has always been nasally and that she tried to correct it with her own techniques and stuff, but when she started to work her voice later they tought her the correct techniques to get rid of it. So I think if she really wants to she can improve it again. But I'm also no voice specialist, so I don't know. But to get back to my previous post, listen for example to Miley. I mean if that is not nasallay, then I don't know what is. So I think that Marah may have a point: it is something singers try to do lately...
