Not even Céline's voice can save this song. "She'll be Comin' 'Round the Mountain" would have been a better choice.

HMM yeah I think I have to agree.... there are some good parts, but overal the duet is mwah... I think the reason this duet doesn't work, is because they didn't record it together, just like I hate you then I love you didn't work untill the were both in the studio. Michel should have done his bit in Florida too I don't like his voice and it's like his voice is more sharp and louder than Céline's voice... I don't think this song should be a single... not a good choice IMO!

Ahaha that was LAUGHABLE! Why even perform that song if A. Michel Sardou was going to obviously mime, B. Not have Celine there, or even a recent video/picture of her in the background and C. Have that Michel looking bored out of his mind!

I know, I thought it was pretty funny. But I think Michel sang live though (or maybe it is just me), because near the end he looked and sounded a bit lost...

 

I think they were planning on using the footage from the video they were going to shoot this month when they scheduled these performances. But obviously they had to come up with something new because Celine is not allowed to film the videos now, so they went for the tour footage.

 

Edit: I think he is talking about the fact that Celine is on bedrest now before he starts singing, but I'm not 100% sure though.

What's the deal with picking songs these days? I mean who does it - Céline's worst competition: the Mariah camp, or Whitney-ville?

 

 

 

She sounds better than she's done in years, however sucks it aint on a fine English tune.

I actually wanted to say something about the end of the song in the video earlier, but I though that I was probably imagining it. And I didn't have the album version with me, so I couldn't compare. But it did sound different to me too.

 

Edit: And is just me or did Michel like missed some lines or something from 4:21? He looks a bit lost too...

In SLV, her voice is musical, fluid, pure, perfect.

In Voler, her voice is strained, not musical at all and trembles, she shouts notes, there's no control .

I can't understand some people here saying that her voice is perfect :s:s. I really hate that way of straining her voice to hit notes, like her voice stays inside her throat.

that doesn't not look "live" to me at all, he lips don't match the words and no they didn't film Celine singing. It's the studio recording over some footage of the tour. They were suppose to shoot the video this month, but they had to postpone it untill after the birth of the twins. Celine was ordered by her doctors to stay off her feet and take things easy untill the birth. In other words, she is on bedrest... Edited September 14, 2010 at 08:05 PM by Claudette

That performance was really bad. It's obvious that he wasn't singing. It was really bad. I don't like him...

I'm not surprised at all that performance was lipped. For one Céline isn't there and it's not like it's a first you know. In fact it's pretty common on this show to see lipped performances anyway.

 

At the beginning they said Céline was watching via satellite and they sent her lots of kisses.

 

As for Michel's stage presence, he's that kind of singer(of dramatic and/or deep songs with significant lyrics)....he never smiled a lot shall we say... but he's a real and great singer with a 40 years sucessfull carreer. He's considered a music icon in France and Québec. I knew they would do a duet one day, it was to be expected. Personnally I like it. Too bad for the timing though, it would have been nice to have a video of them together. But I understand completely that Céline postponed it. The twins are THE priority, the most important thing right now of course.

She still have that unique voice that NObody has on earth and will never have.

It is now possible to have an overview of the song "Voler", starring Michel Sardou and Celine Dion. This song appears on the new album from French singer.

 

Sardou's new opus entitled "Etre Une Femme 2010". It was released in Quebec on Sept. 7.

 

"Voler" is already playing on French radios. The song should also be distributed in Quebec.

A music video is in preparation. This should come out by the end of the year.

I think that as soon as she delivers the babies they will make an video for it... it can be shot in 4 hours and since it's now playing on the radios they should do it as quickly as possible...

The fact that they actually postponed the video untill Celine can do it and is already planning it may mean that we might get something more than just a video of them recording the song in the studio.
