Xpresso Posted March 23, 2012 at 05:51 PM Posted March 23, 2012 at 05:51 PM D'Elles is amazing even for people who understand French. As Celine said, it's not just about the voice but also about the emotions. I agree. Quote
Leo Posted March 24, 2012 at 10:24 PM Posted March 24, 2012 at 10:24 PM I wish Goldman would correct her pronunciation as he did on "D'eux". After 1F4T, it's like she has no director. In the early years, it was Marnay who taught her how to say the words according to the meaning they covey. Then, it was Goldman (I remember when he corrected Celine while she was recording "Je chanterai"). I hope there is a musical director for this project (Plamondon doesn't compose music, as far as I know). Quote
Your_Su_Phu Posted March 25, 2012 at 12:48 AM Posted March 25, 2012 at 12:48 AM You're talking about her phrasing right? lolYeah to be honest at this point in her career she should be able to figure that stuff out herself :/ To be honest she's all over the place with it when she's given free reign Quote
sailornic Posted March 25, 2012 at 04:51 AM Posted March 25, 2012 at 04:51 AM I would love to hear celine singing "woman in love" Quote

Davey84 Posted March 28, 2012 at 08:05 AM Posted March 28, 2012 at 08:05 AM (edited) from celineitalia: BREAKING NEWS: Rene Angelil told Musimax that she has yet to record some songs for the album Celine Dion English, including two tracks composed by the authors of the hit for Adele. He also confirmed that Luc Plamondon will be the "artistic director" of the next French album. I am glad to see Luc as the artistic director of the new French album! Even though I LOVE D'Eux and SISDA with 1F4T Jean-Jacques' work already seemed of lesser quality IMO than the two previous French albums. Like his inspiration by Céline was kinda over. I think it's good to have a new person leading the project. (Even though of course she worked with him for a great deal with Incognito and of course DCP!) Hopefully it will boost Céline's French career again!! J-Man Posted March 28, 2012 at 08:12 AM Posted March 28, 2012 at 08:12 AM Thanks! It looks like Luc is going to be very heavily involved in this album. It's good to have the composer of the song also being the one to direct her performances. Who better to guide her on the correct interpretation of each track. This is shaping up to be quite a solid release. Quote http://www.powerofthemusic.com/other/FORUMSIG1.png

browseceline Posted March 28, 2012 at 09:12 AM Posted March 28, 2012 at 09:12 AM I have to say I love Celine singing in French. I can't understand French a word but I love the sound of it , it sounds so much better to hear her sing in French. I like the D'Elles album a lot. I think it is not just a bunch of songs wrapped in one album. It is a concept album about strong women. There are always some songs I don't like , but on this album there are not much songs I don't like.To me she did not sound nasal or tired. Celine has always been a little bit nasal, but that is typical for Celine's sound, except the Las Vegas cd which is really too much nasality, I did not like that one. But in French Celine is at her best in my opinion. Prima_Donna1 Posted April 11, 2012 at 07:41 PM Posted April 11, 2012 at 07:41 PM If Plamandon is going to be heavily involved in the album than it's definately going to be good. I honestly prefer the Plamandon albums over the JJG because the Plamandon album her voice was awesome. Some of music from the JJG albums is hard to listen to. However I like the way she sang in them that's all I can say. I heard some of the songs from D'elles and they are ok. I am really anticipating more an English album because I want to see what she does next. By the way I also don't understand French either.
