I love Billy Joel - but i'm really hoping its not Just The Way You Are!! Its one of the cheesiest songs ever! I don't mind Celine dedicating a song to the boys - was expecting it - but please Celine, not that one.

New York State Of Mind, Movin Out, Honesty,and Piano Man are brilliant songs, but not really for Celine's boys!!

Besides, how come she would dare to lip many of the songs with a 31-musicians orchestra?? That's why I think (or want to think) we will be lipping-free this time, except for the songs played by the band

 

Well, she's "dared" to lip in every concert since the Celine Dion tour in 1992!

 

Just because there's a 31 piece orchestra doesn't mean she won't lip! And you can't say she'll only lip the songs played by her band, cos that means that her biggest hits (TPOL, IACBTMN, MHWGO, etc.) will be exactly the same as before, completely different to the rest of the setlist. It doesn't matter who's playing, she will always lip these songs!

 

To be honest, I think the orchestra will be part of almost every song in the setlist. There's gonna be about 40 musicians on stage including the band, they're not gonna just sit there doing nothing for half the show!

Oh don't be silly! There's always been 40% lipped songs. The AND premiere was no different, and the TCWT premiere had 11 seconds less playback than normal, thanks to the ABM note being live

If they change the arrangement of songs... and the songs like IACBTMN becomes slower or faster or just different there will be two options sing them live or re-record playbacks...and since theres only 70 shows a year its very possible she will sing live. Im Sick of people not staying postive and judge before the show even begins, if you dont like the show on March 15 then judge.

I guess almost every song will be played by both band and orchestra, just some of them will be played by one of them both, that's just my guess.

Well, I don't know! But if DOL is in I hope she re-records the track because using the same one she used in the FIY Tour = big no no. And I'd be curious to see what she does with The Reason. It's one of her hardest songs and she surprsingly sang most (if not all) of it live in the LTAL Tour so hopefully she'll still do that. Either way, I PRAY to the Lord that the terrible Vegas medley is recycled. At the very least, get rid of TLYM. I love the song - but it serves absolutely no purpose in being performed.

Geek, I thought DOL was live in the FIY tour and TR was lipped in the LTAL one. You do surprise me everyday!

 

Yeah, the Vegas medley must NOT be there this time. And I don't think it's gonna be there. She should sing BYLM not in full but with the orchestra, à la Oscars 1997.

The only thing that was live in DOL was the ad-libs she would do before the first verse. I particularly like the ones she did in Montreal.

She really got into it there. London and Memphis lack in comparison and she didn't do any during the LTAL tour.

 

The Reason sounded very similar on a lot of shows - she always shortened one of the belts and added in an -"ooh baby" at a random spot. Personally, if it was lipped it was convincing as hell because it was a crappy performance IMO. The only thing I'm not 100% sure on being live ist he F#5/G5/G#5 (whatever it is depending on the performance - I don't remember).

 

Either way, these two songs, TLYM, LBDB, are the only songs she has ever performed that I would feel she could lip and justify. The rest, there is no reason - it's one note, and done. The keys in these songs are very high from beginning to end. She has a couple other songs like this, but none have been performed before so I don't worry about those.
