I Want You To Need Me would kick butt with a full orchestra.

I agree with this comment!!! But with RDMH I do think it's going to be in the new set list though. On the recent Mego interview showing rehearsels we obviously could hear Decloration of Love and The reason but you listen carefully half way through the interview you can actually hear them rehearsing RDMH. I like this song but not really sure if it will be on the set list. :)

TLYM does not need to be performed. It wasn't really a hit. Just a single - nothing more than Misled or Nothing Broken But My Heart....actually, it's less because at least those charted at #1 in some form of a chart (in the US).

IACBTMN - gone unless it's in the full 7 min version

RDMH - it was refreshing to have this song back at the end of Vegas but it can be replaced

MHWGO - this should definitely stay, but let it be the second to last song... listen to the ANDLILV CD...listen to how many people scream "encore" or "one more" ....ending with this is a let down

TPOL - remove this. she removed WDMHBN after 7 years because she was tired of it...hell she's done this 10x more than that song

LCMM - mixed feelings. it's been in every tour and one of her favorite songs, so I feel it should stay. But she has really lost what this song was...it's changed so much since 1992 and I don't like that. She should perform it right.

BYLM - perform this but in the full version. It's been so long since we've heard the "...wings and made me fly..." verse.

The only medley should be a French one. How about CNQR, something else, and then ending with LBDB.

If It's All Coming Back To Me Now was not performed, I think I'd boycott all concerts haha

Here is my setlist. I tried to be realistic, but probably lost it with a couple that have no chance.

1. Love Can Move Mountains - What a way to start off the show! This would be fantastic. I want this to be performed like the album version though - not a 4 min. ad lib session.

2. The Power Of Love - a necessity; will sound great with an orchestra (check the David Foster performance)

3. It's All Coming Back To Me Now - full song

*talks about revisiting some older albums and in particular talking about some great songs not seeing the light of day*

4. Refuse To Dance

5. Dreamin' Of You

6. The Reason

7. Declaration Of Love

*this segment can be dedicated to Rene & her children

8. All The Way/The Colour Of My Love (Medley)

9. Typical Cover Song - Billy Joel

*"Now, I could never perform a show without doing at least...."*

10. Ce N'etait Qu'Un Reve - speech about her Mom writing the song and it being the first song

11. French Medley: D'abord C'est Quoi L'amour, Delivre-Moi, Le Blues Du Businessman

*some great songs that would sound FANTASTIC with an orchestra*

12. A Song For You

13. I Know What Love Is

14. Goodbye's The Saddest Word

15. When I Need You

16. Beauty And The Beast

*the hits section*

17. Because You Loved Me - full song; a necessity

18. My Heart Will Go On - it has to be here

Encore:

19. Call The Man - The perfect orchestra song w/ a choir. The last minute or so of the song provides a great ending.

GOOD THING I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS CALL THE MAN SHOULD BE INCLUDED!!!

But unlike most, I want to see TLYM (watch charice sing this w/ an orchestra)...the song sounds amazing w/ a big orchestra

Tyler, I never thought as Call the Man as the encore, but now that you pointed it out, it makes perfect sense and would be utterly awesome, specially with a choir in the background. Wow, just imagining this and I had chills going down my spine. I would cry rivers, love love love that song!!
Posted

I would prefer Immortality as an encore, rather than Call the Man. It would make perfect sense, she sings "We Don't Say Goodbye" and then dissapears from the stage. :blushing1:

And Tyler I have to say I deeply disagree with that setlist, if it were something like your list, I think I would drop any will to go there in the future. Only the first song you included is uptempo, other than DOL, and it would be a boring show for me. -_- And just 3 songs from the 00's...

"No matter where you are, reach for your own star to realize the power of the dream"

If you hate mysetlist than why are you even wanting to go to the new show?

Everyone knows that even the worst fan-made setlist on here is still going to be better with the same recycled garbage we're going to get.

I'm sure I'll get groans from others on this one, but I think "These Are The Special Times" would be a nice closing number. Yes, the song is on her Christmas album, but the lyrics don't blatantly point that out. They are fairly broad and open-ended, thus allowing the listener to adapt their own meaning to the song. :)

Calm down please, I wasn't saying that I "hate" your setlist, I just said "I deeply disagree"... I just "hate" the word "hate"... :xmas_laugh:

And here's hoping we could get a more mixed/varied setlist, just that.

Yes, I must admit that your opinions and mine seem to be usually different; but they're always just opinions. :thumbsup2:

Immortality would be the PERFECT song ending for the show! BRILLIANT idea! A totally underrated Céline song.

She also said that about "Miles To Go (Before I Sleep)." We see how much she's attempted to introduce her fans to that song via live performances. :xmas_dry:

Yes! "Immortality" is so beautiful! Perfect song to be in this new......and amazing song for an encore! Fan favorite for sure.....plus it was a huge hit in Europe, and is on "Let's talk about love" which any Celine fan owns (at least 10 million US fans) so it's a classic fan favorite Edited by Kyle_Jared

Immortality would be my second choice for an encore, but right now I'm in love with my idea of Call The Man for an encore....

Just listen to the last minute or so of the song. It's the perfect end.

Start watching around 4 minutes.....

They could do all all these effects with smoke and make her disappear..

they could also add the power of the dream! that would be amazing! she would get a standing ovation for sure for this song!

and i hope they'll have choir for the show! adults and children.

it can be like first encore

LTAL (with children choir)

call the man (with adult)

The Power of the Dream (with adult)

Heal The World tribute to (MJ adult & children)

Courage don't you dare fail me now!

I'd prefer the smoke effects recreating the MHWGO- Oscars performance. *Dreaming I know*

If she sings "Call the Man, he's needed here" as the last line of the encore then René will surely appear and take her home in the car, and there'll be no smoke, just some drama. :xmasnaughty: j/k

But "Call the Man" would be my second option, it's a very smart idea. To be honest, I didn't remember watching this performance on my Live in Memphis self-created dvd, and I've loved it, so thanks for posting.

The idea of Immortality I actually had it since I read some forumers talkin' about, that it would be the perfect ending for an hypothetical farewell concert, someone said something else as a joke, I'll quote it from the original topic better, when I find it. And I've always been daydreaming about being in the audicence and cheering for her as she sings the last note of her career. :xmas_rolleyes: It's an extremely bittersweet, dramatic dream, so the idea stuck with me ever since. :xmasblush: Would she need any permission from the BeeGees to sing that by herlself?

Don't think she'd need permission to sing it, but she would if she wanted to use video footage for them ( i should think). I'm sure Barry and Robin wouldn't object. They love the song, and can imagine them going to see Celine in Vegas and would LOVE to hear Immortality again. :xmas_biggrin: Especially now Maurice has gone.

I have a feeling that even though the movie thing has been cancelled, she is still gonna sing ''Somewhere Over the Rainbow''.

LOL I have the same feeling, Claudette, but I wouldn't mind a 2011 version of that song! :wub2:

Nice list, Tyler! But I made some adjustments! :-D

11. Ce N'etait Qu'Un Reve - speech about her Mom writing the song and it being the first song

12. I'd love a French Medley, but I'd rather have; new French Song

*some great songs that would sound FANTASTIC without an orchestra* :giggle:

13. To Love You More Moran Remix intro (like the MHWGO bit in the tour)/

I Drove All Night (new remix version)

14. Unison (Single Mix With Rap)

15. It's All Coming Back To Me Now (Classic Paradise Mix)

*the movie hits section*

16. Beauty And The Beast

17. When I Fall In Love

18. Because You Loved Me - full song; a necessity

Off for final costum change

19. Hymn to the Sea/ My Heart Will Go On - it has to be here

20. Call The Man - The perfect orchestra song. The last minute or so of the song provides a great ending.

IMO DOL, WIFIL and TCOML are songs that could be cut for new English songs! ;)

I don't object to those changes, but TLYM. I'm so far over that lol.

Either way...I want a surprise. Something different than the typical.

One thing that is a MUST to me....is an encore of something besides MHWGO.

I think it should be a good ending song - whether it is uptempo or a ballad.....something new and unexpected.

Look at the ANDLILV CD from 2004. When MHWGO is over and before WAWW starts, listen to how many people are screaming "ONE MORE" or "ENCORE!!!!" ..... So much of a better ending.

Posted

You're right about the encore... the ending after MWHGO @ AND was a bit anticlimax! I wish they kept WAWW or ISW as the end song

I think a remix intro of TLYM could work; Love you...Love you...Love you...I'll be waiting for you..... tum tum tum tum I drove all niiiiiiiiiiiight to get to you! tum tum tum tum IS THAT ALL RIGHT SLEEPING GAMBLING ADDICTS?!?! :yahoo: :kicking: :giggle:
