oh my dear Lord the song was a true mess. the talentless singers there is just wow. autotune was never used that much for one single song!

 

standouts are of course the legends like celine, barbra and tony who gave some credibility to the song! what a pity...

Fantastic. Not being biased here because I'm a Celine fan, but she was obviously in a league of her own. She knocked out all the other talent. Amazing presence as always, but then again do you expect any less from Celine?

Oh.My.Stars. As someone put it so eloquently in the comments, that was an abortion. It was just horrific. I think Celine sounded great and much better than anyone gave her credit for during all those recording clips, and there were a few others that sounded great in their own right (Jennifer Hudson, Pink), but it was just atrocious all around. The rap? That one wailing awful black guy? The one with silver teeth that cannot sing? What were they thinking letting those hacks in this tribute. It was just absolutely an insult to the original. A complete and utter mockery. Michael is rolling around in his mausoleum right now. I cannot believe some of the people they had in that remake. I just cannot believe it turned out like that. It's worse than I could have ever imagined.

i think the Fergie part was supposed to be since the begining! Remember in the vids. we saw where Lionel kind of says to Celine to not care about the "Stand together as one" and concentrate on the "yeah yeah yeah yeah!"

I can only assume Wyclef Sean´s singing style has something to do with his haitian roots, some kind of cultural thing. Celine did great except for the first WELL... too shy! but awesome as a whole nonetheless. And yes, the whole thing was a mess.

if you check out the comments on theyoutube page, most of them... and i assume most are not celine fans.... they really liked celines part and think celine did justice to cindy's part...

Just got it on itunes. I like it. I couldve done without the rap, auto-tune, and Wyclef Jean (the wailing guy). But overall, I like it....especially Celines part

Too few Celine, too much Barbra, too much T-pain with his autotune, too much rap... The original one is way better. I don't know if Michael would produce this like that. Anyway, I hope it will sell and help a lot of people!
