Why the **** did they put Fergie's strains in the middle of Celine's awesome F#5 and B5?

And what's up with musical engineering these days? No professionals left? Do they need someone to show them how to use autotune(more like "how not to use it")? Definitely NOT on the whole track! I'm really pissed, didn't expect it to be that cheap.

Just imagine what kind of crap it would've been without Barbra, Celine and Josh...

OK, my take on it? I like the idea, I like the change, but the execution was poor. Really poor. It was, like most of you have said, a mess.

I agree. There were lots of musicians there that were awesome (Josh, Celine, Pink, JHud, Enrique, Barbra, etc. ) and some not so good (Miley, Jonas Bros, Justin Bieber, Usher (still mad at you for the grammy's ) Fergie ( ) Jean Wyclef (baaaaaaaaaaaaaaad (emphasis on the BAAAAAAAAAAA)) and many others that made this sound like BUT, I say buy it anyway because all the money is going to Haiti and they do need our help. Yes, the song sounds like trash (except for the good singers) but Celine would want us to support this and the people of Haiti.

I don't get why everyone is so upset over this song I like it. what I've heard and saw of it it sounds great and the video is great. I loved Celine's part and as someone pointed out earlier this song isn't about Celine, she was just part of it. They can't really give all what 80 some people a three or four minute solo. The song is for one to short and two not made for that.

i like Celine's part. she always has this high point in such songs, such as Come Together.

I didn't like the production as a whole. it sounds cheap an a little bit fused together. It could've been shorter too, but I think the song serves its purpose.

Aw I just watched this!! HATED it after about 4 minutes in. When the rapping and autotune stuff starts. Which IMO, butchered it.

 

I don't know why, but immediately when I saw Celine's part, I started crying. I do wish she would have had a bit more in the song. Overall, it was decent. Especially good with Tony, Barbara, Celine, Jennifer, Toni, Josh!

Ugh and that terrible person that sings his verses like "AHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA" ugh so terrible. This song needed ONLY the "legends". imo.

I kind of liked Miley's part in it though. Justin Beiber, Pink, a lot of them did well. The song is generally nice!

I heard it a few times though I didn't see it in premiere as I was still sleeping was deep cold winter night here in germany

some of you said, that this song is made for legens but when I remember 1985 release, most of these stars haven't been the legends they are today...

 

don't get me wrong, I still don't like miley cyrus my niece loves here, but she's 11 and I don't like bieber-boy either but hey, it's a benefit, I like it but still don't know if it's getting as legendary as 1985.

 

Here in germany was NO promotion I've heard od seen, nothing, nowhere and if I'm no Celine Fan, I would have never got any information about it

They showed footages on ZDF,RTL,Prosieben etc etc last week.

 

BTW it's also available on Itunes Italy and it's #2 right now.
