I watched Ellen today also and when nick was sing i didnt pay much attention, but when i heard Celine Dion i immediately look up and i was like "... OMG! i just missed something about CELINE!!!!! haha it was just surprising to hear that. seems kinda unlike Celine to hold other people up...she's usually pretty self-aware, especially when it comes to how her actions affect others. i'm sure there's more to that story so i'm keepin my eyes out! ha

it just doesnt seem like Celine would do such a thing, she is not self conscious like mariah or madonna. Celine is aware of the people around her. probably that older lady has an attitude problem.

I agree completely. She doesn't act that way. Sure she may have some diva-like tendencies, but overall, she is one of the most down to earth musicians alive today.

Austin :"She's sitting there(Celine) rockin out...and I want to go (Austin miming struggling her with both hands, smilling though). But you know a couple of minutes before that, Mary said : "Also inside Patti Austin who worked with Barbra. How many takes did Streisand needs?" to Austin.

Austin : "As many as she wants(laught). In this case it was about two or three."

 

So I may be wrong but I thought Austin was probably a litle biais here, being a friend and/or a fan of Barbra. Just my two cent, I don't really know why she said that. Apparently so many found Céline really great(even Austin)...SO great maybe that Austin felt the need to critisize Céline a little bit here or to make a joke, who knows her motive for wanting to say this..

 

Anyway that's what was said on ET about this.

 

Edit : Just read previous posts. It was never said that other singers complained about Céilne one way or another. It was Patti Austin(who was helping Lionel Ritchie and Quincy Jones) who told this to Mary Hart.

I actually think that is Will. I think he was blinking when the photo was taken that's why he looks so odd.
