Shaun Posted February 2, 2010 at 08:27 PM Posted February 2, 2010 at 08:27 PM I love that on most media reports Celine is the one mentioned first: A group of celebrities have arrived in Hollywood to raise money for the Haiti earthquake relief fund. Stars including Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Vince Vaughn, Kanye West and Wyclef Jean have agreed to take part in a recording of Michael Jackson song 'We Are The World' for charity. "It's the 25th anniversary [of the original hit song] and it's perfect timing," Us Magazine quotes producer Quincy Jones as saying. "It's not an accident, man. That's God. It will be 'We Are The World' for Haiti." Other celebrities taking part include Gladys Knight, Keri Hilson, Nicole Scherzinger, Katharine McPhee, Robin Thicke, Randy Jackson, T-Pain and Josh Groban. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a20...-hollywood.html Quote Bringing you the world's only Celine Dion podcast show since 2014.Find us on Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts, Spotify & Amazon Music.
TEREFUNKEN Posted February 2, 2010 at 08:31 PM Posted February 2, 2010 at 08:31 PM The news just aired a segment of the remake of We Are The World. Celine was very excited that she was asked to sing Cyndi's verse from the original. Celine then went on to sing it in the same manner as Cyndi. It was cool to see that the segment showed Cyndi's original vocal back in 1985 as well. Side note: Celine was being interviewed by the news when she did this not the actual recording in the studio.http://cyndilaupernews.com/forums/index.php?topic=3223.0See. I totally predicted that!!! I'd like her to do the Cyndi Lauper part of the original version. indeed Bellamy! Do you have a magical cristal ball? Im really wishing that she could do Cindy´s part...en VOILÁ!.. there you go! (BTW sory if I repeat this...but it was one of the BEST birthday (47) present I could have...thanks CELINE again and again!) during the past days...I have startin to remember those good old days (80s) when the WATW as recording... (Im feeling like my grandma telling me some storys about the revolution..LOL ) well...I remember that on tv aired some recording sessions...and in one of this special tv programs...there were a part, on wich CINDY sings her solo...and (i dont remember who...but maybe was MJ or QUINCY J. Or perharps L. RITCHIE...) well some of them ask CINDY to take off her neckleaces, because they are making too much noises at the micro!... , well you can Image CINDY at her solo...starting to sing..."YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAHAAAAAAA------>>> and with all the emotional signs, all those necklaces starting to jump in her chest!...and with the magic of the actual tecnology and youtube...here are some captures that I could take to prove this FLASHBACK IN MY MIND! Back to 2010..CELINE IS GEORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!! I love that Barbra Streisand were there too! God bless internet...youtube...this forum and aaaaaaaaall of you, from the bottom of my heart, im very happy! Sorry..I cant edit this...I really dont remebner who said CINDY to take off her necklaces, I thing were MJ but could be Q. Jones or L. Ritchie Quote http://imageshack.us/a/img853/7437/dionunfinishedsong.jpgUploaded with ImageShack.us

Belle Céline Posted February 2, 2010 at 08:33 PM Posted February 2, 2010 at 08:33 PM Why does she seemed so pissed off? Is it because she can't go anywhere without a mob of paps? I'm sure Celine expected the media to present at this event.Yes she probably knew very well. I don't think she was mad, she seemed perfectly fine in the video E News posted. "For me, it's always an amazing opportunity to work with amazing people that I admire a lot," she said. "I was working with Lionel Richie, and I was beside Quincy Jones, and even though I've been doing this work for a long, long time, I'm still extremely impressed." Javito Posted February 2, 2010 at 08:58 PM Posted February 2, 2010 at 08:58 PM That's the problem with Céline nowadays - she sounds as if her voice is about to crack, out of control. I didn't like what I heard and as Prince WHISKAS said I hope it's not the final take on her verse. Not good Celione Deaon, not good! Have you listen to Takin Changes cd?Perhaps "My Love" live? She still can easily blow on stage vocally but she needs more exercise and awareness that it's simply not gonna shot out of her like that! Tat is very apparent when she tries to jump on the scale like she did in this mini-run we've seen - it was too fast for her, the transitions between the notes were horrendous. This is surely not the final version as the camera itself was shaky so it's ok. It just tells us that if she wants to make it in Vegas another 45 years, she has to take care of her voice. Totally That's why I don't want her to ruin her voice doing concerts eternally, but, oh well, let's adoooore her going back to Las Vegas again I think we all want Céline for the next 20 years or so, but at the rate she's taking with the concerts Vegas will end to exhaust her Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

Belle Céline Posted February 2, 2010 at 09:49 PM Posted February 2, 2010 at 09:49 PM from an MTV article "I was standing there, and an artist, Melanie Fiona, she was leaning on me — literally leaning on me — and I said, 'This is "We Are the World," not "Lean on Me"!' And then Celine Dion just started going on, actually," Musiq Soulchild told MTV News of how the impromptu "Lean on Me" sing-along kicked off. "Everybody started chiming in. It was very organic and not planned at all, and I kind of, like, huddled back, like, 'What just started?' " Fiona said she had gotten a little restless after the marathon recording session. "We were standing for quite a while, and my feet started to hurt a little bit," she said. "So I said [to Musiq], 'I'm just going to lean on you,' and he said, 'This isn't "Lean on me," ' " she recalled. "And then Celine started singing, and the rest of what you saw is on camera, history." Teodora Posted February 2, 2010 at 10:01 PM Posted February 2, 2010 at 10:01 PM (edited) It was Dion who sparked the evening's most thrilling moment, a spontaneous a capella group singalong of "Lean On Me." It was not immediately clear what the plan was for the night's biggest head-scratcher, a pair of stand-ins wearing full green-screen body stockings. By 8 p.m., folks were starting to trickle away — the Jonas Brothers had a very important softball game — but a vast chorus still remained, clapping and laughing and singing those familiar words again and again, wanting it to be just right, the video screens surrounding them still running non-stop disaster footage, as though anyone needed reminding. "We have to help each other," Dion explained of the night's real purpose. "It's an honor to have been asked, and a responsibility to act and make a difference. When something terrible happens, it's not time to cry. It's time to join each other and act. We are making the best and feeling every word of it to make a difference. But we will make a difference, so yes, we are enjoying ourselves." From Entertainment Weekly. Celine Dion: "People are very touched to be here. Wehave to enjoy ourselves; we're talking about music and about someone who was living through music. Michael's fashion was to help change the world through his lyrics. Through our music, voices and talent, all of us together...you can't just say this is terrible. Tonight we have this opportunity to make a difference." From Billboard.
