Shamrock_1982 Posted February 27, 2010 at 06:09 PM Posted February 27, 2010 at 06:09 PM I'm really shocked and surprised that Crannyview hasn't posted a review or his thoughts on the movie, after the showing in Belfast on Thursday night.... Darren. Quote
Belle Céline Posted February 27, 2010 at 06:17 PM Posted February 27, 2010 at 06:17 PM I meant to post a mini review about the movie I just hadn't gotten around to it. I LOVED it and thought it was amazing, wish I could see it again but I don't have the money to. I'm saving up to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D next week. Darren. Im here now!! Sorry for the delay, I like to take a few days to think before I review something Well, it was the BEST movie I have ever seen. When we arrived they had not opened the screen so we had to stand about and wait. Luckily they had Celine playing, so I was able to stand and listen and didnt mind the wait. It was so nice they added that extra touch. When we got in I was sooo excited. There was quite a few people there and I was asked to move down a couple of seats to allow a set of friends to sit together. We had to wait 20 mins until it started. Worst 20 minutes of my life! And WOWWWW! IDAN was unbelievable! I think it was seeing her on the big screen for the first time, and its one of my fav songs. Loved how they put it together showing all the different places. When Dublin came on I was so tempted to get up and scream 'I WAS THERE!!!' lolThe whole movie was sooo amazing, she is such a funny person and I cried several times. When they put that tube in her nose, and the tear rolled down her face, OMD it was soooo sad! Personal highlights for me were IDAN, RDMH, TSMGO, IA and of course MHWGO was so beautiful. I didnt think it was possible to love Celine more. Seeing her with her family, and relaxing on the boat in Amsterdam (?) was brilliant. All in all a perfect look at the woman behind the superstar. The woman we all adore and are proud to be a fan of. When it was over and everyone left, they left the theatre doors open and my sister in law disappeared for a minute or two, so I just stood there singing TSMGO . That song gives me chills when Celine sings it. You could hear it all over the Odeon. I am just so happy I got the chance to see it in the cinema, cant wait to see the Tour DVD in full now. Thank you so much Darren again for getting it shown over here for us, you are brilliant! Quote
Alex_Incognito Posted February 27, 2010 at 11:10 PM Posted February 27, 2010 at 11:10 PM Just got back from my second viewing of the film in Davenport, Iowa (USA). This time there were a total of 36 people in the cinéma! I was thrilled, even though I was the youngest one (by a couple or so decades). I will say that "The Show Must Go On" is indeed a LIVE version of the song (at the end of the movie) because you do here a "Here we go!" in the middle of the song. She sounds so beautiful, though. How can you not love Céline even more after viewing this film? Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990

Kye Posted February 27, 2010 at 11:32 PM Posted February 27, 2010 at 11:32 PM In Chicago this afternoon, it was blurry the entire show! The manager came and said he would fix it, but it wasn't fixed. People were not very happy. We did get free tickets for another showing of something else at least. It was fine when I saw it last week at the same theater. Quote Du Soleil Au Coeur

QueenCeline Posted February 27, 2010 at 11:39 PM Posted February 27, 2010 at 11:39 PM I strongly believe that TPOL even the last note, is indeed a new recording. It may not be live, but it certainly isn't the one from the past 14 years. But, TLYM didn't seem any different to me. But all the others did. Lou555 Posted February 28, 2010 at 12:07 AM Posted February 28, 2010 at 12:07 AM (edited) I thought that today and tomorrow's showing would bring the end of this it but apparantly not. Céline : autour du monde will be shown again three more times at night next week here, 7:00 p.m.. I guess it's doing very well, so still more time for me to make it 3. So I guess I'm glad to be a french-speaking fan in this case cuz I'll have to see it again for a third time.. What movie did you see? Because the one I and many others went to the audio for IDAN, IACBTMN, MHWGO, and TPOL was wayyyyyyyyyyyy different then any of the playbacks. ABM and TLYM were the same as the ones used on tour. Whether IDAN, IACBTMN, MHWGO, and TPOL were actually live, or dubbed, is yet to be seen...however, ALL the sound (whether from a LIVE song or a "live" song sounds so crystal clear that based on quality can be mistaken for a studio recoridng. I think that's why a lot of people think TSMGO on during the credits is studio (because along with no video, there is such clarity). Edited February 28, 2010 at 04:19 AM by Tyler1991 Quote
