Thank you Lou, so much for that summary! After seeing the book myself now, I can easily see the things he is describing. I think my favorite picture in the book is of Maman Dion and Céline looking out the window at the gardens :) I didn't know that about her jaw locking, I wondered what was going on. She looks really in pain.

You're welcome! I really like that photo too at the Élysée looking out the window, they're like the Queen and the Queen mom! :giggle: As for her jaw locking, Gérard says it often happens with Céline....don't know why. :shrug: It sure must hurt and I have to admit I would probably panic a little here if it ever happen to me. Not a fun thing to experience I'm sure.

Thanks for the translation! :flowers: I rememeber reading about her jaw locking in that article that came out in that French magazine a few weeks ago. If I remember correctly, it said that she has a fear of not being able to breath, which sometimes cause her to panic... and it can get so severe that her body goes into spasm and her jaw locks...

 

I can't wait to get my book!

Thanks for the summary :flowers: Finally i understand what happened when she called the doctor!

 

I just saw the video. It counts serveral pics from the book. They showed for example Celine and Ginette during the concert for Quebec. And its perfect! In my book, this picture is weird. Celines arm and her nose are Blue, like the backround and i think it was not the plan to do it like that. Is it just my copy or is the pic in all the books like that?

Hi guys!

 

So I got more information concerning Gérard's planning in Québec, but also info about the book itself as some people have questions.

 

About Gérard, he is having 3 new tv shows on TVA LCN this morning, as well as radio shows including one on 98,5 FM at 11 am. His assistant is there as well. Tomorrow 10:15 am, he will also be on "2 filles le matin".

 

Shows have been organized for the next few days (every day) until the 22nd, for more information you can ask his assistant or his press agent.

 

About the book and Céline now, questions that fans have been asking (why no picture of Vegas, why no picture of the red suit she wore at the beginning of the tour etc), will be answered on our blog tonight. :thumbsup2:

 

Please note that Céline's team appreciates the fact that no picture of the book have been posted on this forum.

On the radio show this morning they also had Rene on the phone. The host didn't ask him about Celine...but more about the Montreal hockey team issue..oh well...good to hear all this new info.

Anyone know the story behind the guitar Céline signed and gave to Gerard in Nashville? It's on the last page of the book with credits. Anyone know who gave that to her?

 

Thank you Fanny and the Redheads for that news update :) Very interesting. I would die to see those tour costumes that got cut! I bet they were over the top!

"Deux filles le matin" airing on TVA from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. every morning of the week, why 10:15 a.m.? Is it the time Gérard tapes the show? I don't think this show is "live" so considering this fact, do you think it will still air tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. or on a different day? Thanks in advance for the info if you have it Fanny, it would be much appreciated. I posted the same question in the french section cuz I would like to tape it when it airs.

Now, I just found out when he's going to be on.

Gérard will be one of the guests on "2 filles le matin" this thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on TVA. For those interested there is a web live broadcast on their site(follow link quoted as source and click on "Diffusion web simultanée" to see it live)

I am not sure I understand what you mean? Everything text from the book should be translated in the english version, yes...

I got my book today and looooveee it!! Of course I wish their were more photos of the shows I went to, but who doesnt? lol It came in perfect condition and in about a week. I order it from amazon.ca. :thumbsup2:

Also I expected more photos from outside hotels, but I guess that's on the dvd :whistling:

Thanks Lou for that great summary at the top of the page. Glad your book arrived Davey, hope mine isn't far behind. I can't wait!! I have resisted looking at any pictures so far, as I want to savour them in the book, but even reading the descriptions of them makes me excited!

Yeah! My book arrived 2 minutes ago! I thought it was a coffee table book, not an actual coffee table! It is huge. Have to bring it to work with me now, can't wait to get immersed in it. Edited by J-Man

I got mine too . HUGE HUGE box with 4 books arrived in perfect condition. I LOVE amazon.ca but I love DHL more!!! hahaa

 

Ok so I spent almost 3 hours immersed in the book. The first thing that I really liked is Celine's passport!! with all the visa prints even the mexico city immigration stamp WOW!! such a great souvenir. i loved her letter in the beggining of the book ..although the last couple paragraphs I didn't get very well...i'm gonna have to get a bigger french dictionary!!!

 

Page by page ...it made me sob sometimes and even laugh ..i think i laughed a lot some pictures are hillarious and Gerard did a great job capturing precious moments.

 

the mexico issue again...well i was prepared for it...nothing new just surprised to see celine with mouth cover a la michael jackson but oh well...looooved her with the mexican sombrero that i gave her...i think that's where i got more emotional :cry:

 

one other thing i loved was all the celine comments...to me it felt like facebook comments ..so cool to read what she has to say on some of them...it really gives the images a new meaning.

 

and to learn all those little details like the eddy marnay photo with the rosary or her make up , dresses and all..it really is like a wonderful thing for us fans to see all these insights into the world tour and to be able to see her private moments as family. it's a very interesting paradox how even celine herself admits to be surprised in the contrast of the "on stage" pictures and the "days off" pictures. two very different personalities but the same person.

 

good to see all the red heads, Ramona, Jenni, Anu, Estevam, Tam (with super special mention WOW)! and some other fellow friends and fans from this forum. it just makes me feel closer to her in some way.

 

and well i wish everybody could get a chance to see this book because it is a true GEM
