autumnskies00 Posted October 9, 2009 at 05:05 PM Posted October 9, 2009 at 05:05 PM I have two questions. On amazon.ca when I searched the book it said it was soft cover. Isn't there a hardcover version? I couldn't find it. Also, for anyone who has the book, in the uniondale New York photos, are there any photos of the audience? Thanks, can't wait to get this! Teodora Posted October 10, 2009 at 06:20 PM Posted October 10, 2009 at 06:20 PM I got my copy yesterday, yey! I love it! I love the backstage photos and the family photos, from her time off, from rehearsals etc. I expected something more from the concerts photos, but they're nice. You can really tell Gerard is a press photographer... I like more art photography, but they're really nice. Wish I was in Gerard's place, I can tell you that. And not only because I would have been so close to Celine, but because I'm passionate about photography, and what better subject?! Also, sometimes the photos are not really well put on page... the the face in the middle of the book where you can't really see it, or stuff like that. But, overall, I love it! What a great tour! I love RC's reactions in some of the photos, like when he's looking at that pizza or the one with the remote controlled helicopter... precious! I know it's been a hard tour for her and that she had bad moments and that they picked mostly the photos were she was all happy and cheerful, but it really looks like they had the time of their lives. Especially for Rene-Charles, to have these amazing memories for the rest of his life. I have almost no memories of when I was 7,8, 9 years old, cause nothing memorable happened to me. I think it's great Celine and Rene opened up the world for him like that. Quote
browseceline Posted October 10, 2009 at 10:04 PM Posted October 10, 2009 at 10:04 PM i expected to see some more pictures of amsterdam... but it is still a great book! ladylindsey Posted October 11, 2009 at 09:46 AM Posted October 11, 2009 at 09:46 AM I officially cancelled my 11 day backordered amazon.ca order and re-ordered from France. It should be here this week HOLY DION it was hard to get a copy of this book! I agree, they should have made it a worldwide release in English and French at the same time. Or the English booksellers should have carried it As long as it arrives on my doorstep this week i will be ECSTATIC! I have already cleared a spot for it smack dab in the middle of my living room coffee table. Oh yes. Quote
anewdayhascome Posted October 11, 2009 at 11:36 AM Posted October 11, 2009 at 11:36 AM exactly, they will think that French version is a success because majority of us is buying it and later when the English version comes out it will not sell so well because many of us won't buy a second one.... it's sad Quote A New Day... 10th & 11th November 2006 Taking Chances World Tour, Antwerp 13th & 14th May 2008, Kraków 28th June 2008 Celine 25th & 27th & 31st August 2013 20th, 23rd, 24th, 27th & 28th September 2016 Sans attendre Tour, Paris 1st & 5th December 2013 Encore un soir, Paris 24th, 25th, 28th, 29th June & 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 9th July 2016 Live 2017 Stockholm 17th June 2017 Lille 1st & 2nd July 2017 Paris 8th & 9th July 2017 Berlin 23rd & 24th July 2017 Live 2018 Taipei 11th & 13th July 2018 Manila 19th July 2018 Bangkok 23rd July 2018 BST Hyde Park London 5 July 2019

I got my copy very quickly (for a total of £32 including postage & packing) There really isn't much text, so I see no point in rejecting the french version.. I agree 99% (the only problem I have is understanding the Preface pages by Céline and Gérard). I'm going to sit down one evening and try translating the two pages Quote

I agree 99% (the only problem I have is understanding the Preface pages by Céline and Gérard). I'm going to sit down one evening and try translating the two pages True, but I'm sure a french speaking member can make a rough translation.. I semi-understand it, but am no where good enough to do so.. But other than the preface, it's mainly about the pictures.. ladylindsey Posted October 12, 2009 at 06:13 AM Posted October 12, 2009 at 06:13 AM The book from amazon.fr is only about $56 USD plus shipping about $20 or so. Not too bad. Considering I will actually get it before I'm 80 now haha. I agree, I will probably get the English version when it comes out, too, just to have for my library, but it's a photo book so it really won't matter so much. Plus the online translation sites are great and I have a French dictionary I figure a photo of Céline making faces like this are pretty universal Quote

cmcdaori Posted October 14, 2009 at 09:49 AM Posted October 14, 2009 at 09:49 AM Céline Autour Du Monde is also on sale through CélineDion.nl with a 20% discount (so that makes the price €31,92)!People in Holland, Belgium & Luxemburg pay no shipping fees, people in Europe about €4 (still cheaper with the discount) and outside Europe €5 (also still cheaper). You can order through this page! You have to order through the "Celine Autour Du Monde"link and use a code. The explanation is in Dutch (but the store can also be read in English, click "EN" in the upper right corner), so if you need any help just PM me... Have you ordered through this page and how it goes???Is this proxis.be or proxis.nl?Is it the same?Thanx.. Quote Thank u Jesus. Im in ur hands now.
